You know why the new kids can't do it? Because they're horrible at it and breakdown mentally.
JEK will forever have an impact on The Challenge.
I don't agree with that but if that were true that would be a good thing when you think about it. It leaves room for others to take the reigns on the game rather than just have a small group of people controlling everything.
Yeah I remember them always flirting on twitter and then he came out to Arizona a few times. I hope they are a team honestly.
Yeah I wouldn't mind Dunbar/Aneesa.
Yeah I wouldn't mind Dunbar/Aneesa.
I was talking about Nany/Bananas
I don't really care about Dunbar/Aneesa. I rather see other people than them.

Oh damn. I quoted the wrong person. Sorry.
But yeah. I don't want Backpack/Nany I'd rather her be with Adam(las Vegas 2) but that's not happening and I would say with Cohutta but I'd want him with Kellyanne...So I guess Johnny(Portland) or Marlon?
Whose going to be their interesting opposition besides Bananas? Danny? This is why not getting Brian is such a big miss for this season.
He is very different from the guys on the Challenge right now. He is fairly unstable, can be very aggressive when repeatedly provoked but he's also not a caricature of an angry guy like CT at his worst, he isn't afraid of being a lone wolf, and he seems to rub people the wrong way. This guy could have been a Challenge staple with the right breaks.
And let's be serious, everyone needs the right breaks (except Landon, I guess). I totally agree that JEK had a huge role on the Challenge. They basically ran the show from the Island until Rivals I, which is 5 seasons (not counting Cutthroat). That is very impressive. But they had several huge breaks. There were basically no dominant new male players from Denver to New Orleans (CJ was probably the best, but the guy never does Challenges, and you could argue that second best was Ty. Yikes.), Road Rules was cancelled so even more competitors were eliminated, and there was a power vacuum with Wes sitting out six straight seasons, Alton leaving the show, Landon getting a real job, the Miz going into WWE, CT's self-sabotage, etc.
Not necessarily ;) According to a little birdie that list posted last night on here was close to what he/she heard but it wasn't 100% right. That person would know more than us.
Can Alton fit as a big name? Does anyone know if he got a call?
The return of Alton, now onnversion 3.0, yes!
The return of Alton, now onnversion 3.0, yes!
I would love an Alton/Irulan team...I know there is no chance in hell, but she seemed like a great competitor on The Gauntlet...if she's stayed in shape, I think she'd be a great choice.
And earlier in the thread someone was talking about Trishelle getting a call? (Unless I miss read), I thought V1Man said she and the challenge mutually split ways? I mean it wont be the first time someone says they're done and comes back, but it seemed legit based on her leaving Rivals 2.
For people asking about Dunbar/Aneesa it was talked about on The Duel 2 on the **** they should have shown (2:10):

Here is a little digging of Nany/Bananas "hookup" , The first flirted on Twitter then Met at Bananas premiered Rivals 1 and Birthday party. Then they hookup, he went to visit her a couple of times, He went to her Birtday party, they had a long distant hookup relationship from May 11 2011- 2012

Thank you for compiling that for production, lol
Wait, can we discuss the fact that if I have to see Jay from RW Ex-Plosion and Dunbar from RW Sydney on my TV at the same time, I might hang myself? Literally two of the biggest nuisances to ever be on the Real World. Jay is brainless and Dunbar is fat and not good at The Challenge.
Also, if it's Exes 2, I can almost guarantee they're not going to put on any pairs that they can't verify. The thing with previous Rivals pairs is that with teams like Dunbar/Tyrie, neither of those characters are important enough to the series to the point where they have to validate the rivalry, whereas with Johnny Bananas and even Nany at this point, those are people that are staples to this series and being like "they hooked up off camera at an event probably" is not going to explain it.
I'm surprised that Frank Sweeney didn't even get a call.
Exes 2--they're not going to do a guy-guy pair
Not even sure he has an ex
There are so many reasons why I don't want the next season to be Battle of the Exes II. I'm still annoyed at BMP for making the twenty-fourth season Rivals II because that cast was perfect for an Old School vs. New School format. The teams on Rivals II didn't even make any sense. Dunbar & Tyrie, Leroy & Ty, Jonna & Nany, Frank & Johnny and many other teams weren't even legit rivals. I'm just sick of the partner format. The elimination rounds suck. Anyone who watched Rivals II can agree with me on that. I believe the original Battle of the Exes received high ratings because it had an incredible cast. BMP just needs to find a great balance of rookies and veterans. I miss team challenges because the missions, politics and one-on-one elimination battles were more interesting to watch. It's so unfair how many great players aren't getting called to do this challenge because they don't fit in with the exes theme. Plus, many popular cast members are declining this challenge because they don't want to appear with their ex. I hope BMP changes the format last minute. If they're going to do exes, PLEASE find actual exes. Not stupid pairings like Jasmine & Swift, Dustin & Jessica, Bananas & Nany, etc.
This is how I feel...a good balance is what is needed. If they had the explosion, portland, NO2, SD2, etc and still had a few of the Banana's era, and a few people like Rachel, Katie, Landon, Coral, etc on each season it would be a well mix. I still think a cutthroat would be epic and let it be Old School (Coral, Mark era) vs New School (JEK era) vs Rookies (Newer seasons like Explosion, Portland, etc)....that would be amazing...
But back to the new cast, I hope BMP surprises us with at least two random old school teams if it does turn out to be Exes 2....although I loved the format of Free Agents...i wouldn't mind a new team format challenge!
Exes 2--they're not going to do a guy-guy pair

Him and that lightskin black chick from his season.
And didn't Frank have a lot of hookups with challenge females?
Also I just re-watched the first episode of The Gauntlet 2 to enjoy the fun of Jo again...and noticed another random possible hookup....
Can there please be an Ace/Beth team? lol At Mark's B-day party when they are talking about hookups you see them both go into a bathroom together and he closes the door...that'd be sweet team lol

I agree that Not casting Brian was a mistake.
Oh and I agree About JEK.
I feel like BMP isn't ever going to cast people past the JEK era (Coral, Alton, etc.) ever again because the vast majority of people that watch these shows now would have no idea who those people are. To hope that we get landon, abram, darrel, derrick, beth, coral, katie and people of that generation is a joke unfortunately.

Yet another delusional poster. Before Free Agents, do you think the majority of the new viewers had any clue who the hell Cohutta, Isaac and Emilee were? All it takes is a couple flashbacks and they'll either have a good idea as to what type of person they are or remember them from the past. I can also guarantee you that the majority of viewers know who Landon, Darrell, Coral etc... are rather than Cohutta and Emilee. Especially Abram since he was on a challenge just 3 seasons ago.

Plus Coral hosted the Portland aftershows and reunion.
I'm probably the only one okay with Dunbar/Aneesa if that plays out
When did Dunbar and Aneesa ever even interact on any challenge that they have ever been on together?
I really thought everyone knew about Aneesa-Dunbar. I'm confused by this being a surprise to many people
Isn't Diem done? CT-Diem would be better for ratings but Johnny will definitely be on the show.
I rewatched The Duel 2 not too long ago and I do not recall Aneesa and Dunbar ever even being seen in a close proximity on that challenge.
Yeah I wouldn't mind Dunbar/Aneesa.
How?! You always talk about how you hate seeing the same people season after season. I have seen enough of Aneesa. Seriously I mean she has made it to 2 finals out of 10 seasons, she is not winning a challenge, stop casting her.

Aneesa takes Breaks though. She doesn't do a thousand challenges in a row so despite her doing the same amount of challenges and doing these shows for about a decade it doesn't feel as excessive and it's not as tiring.
And who cares if she's not going to win a challenge? Everyone doesn't need to have the ability to do that in order to be on this show. If casting were based of that then hardly anyone would be on. That's just stupid if you ask me.
I'm sick of these comments claiming that Aneesa needs a break. She doesn't. She is ******* awesome. Don't stop Aneesa, bring your vet's *** to another Challenge!

Well the Dunbar and Aneesa situation was shown on hte," The ****** they should have shown," for duel 2. I'm not enitrley sure it was shown on the actual Duel 2 series.

Why wouldn't you count cutthroat as beign ruled by JEK. was it ruled by Tori and Brad?

Well seeing as Kenny and Evan weren't on it. And it was a team challenge where Johnny could only control what happened on his own team...
