Well I think Diem is gonna live. I don't think it's her time. After seeing what she has to go through I feel even more confident that she can make it. The most important part is not letting it spread any further. If they can control that then she should be okay. Cancer isn't the death sentence people make it out to be anymore. All we can do at this point is pray for her and her family. Keep checking up on any updates and let god take care of the rest. But I have hope. I think we all do. She's strong. Some give up, I've seen it, but she isn't or hasn't and that's a step in a damn good direction! :)
Real quick...I would be saying the same thing to her face. That I'm rooting for her, that I respect her as a fighter but that the odds are stacked against her. It isn't anything she doesn't already know. One can still support her while being honest with her. I also don't think anyone was saying it "over and over" again...at least not here. I only saw two posts by the other person you were referring to. Everyone is different...there's no right or wrong. There's just a preference...a different approach. Now if someone was truly being negative (saying she should give up hope, that she shouldn't even bother fighting, etc) that would be different but the odds are bad. Very bad. People shouldn't refrain from saying that just because people don't want to hear it. Sorry but there's a thread already set up to do just that.
Okay your right, people here have not been saying it looks bad over and over again but I could just see on some other message boards that happening or maybe that might happen in the future here so I made that comment more to say this is what I hope does not happen in the coming weeks and months as we hear more news. You said that people should not tell Diem to give up hope. Well I think part of inspiring hope in someone is through positive comments...not misleading comments or lying to someone....we can be truthful and positive at the same time, your right, but I think here is the challenging part. Sometimes a cancer survivor maybe already heard the truth from a doctor or let's say your a family member of the person and you told them the truth once already and this is the second time your saying to them that the odds are bad, along with also including a comment about how the person is a fighter and don't give up hope. So the odds are bad you say but don't give up hope is the last part of the sentence. Well yes you were honest with the first part but I bet the person who hears that sentence will think...okay you said don't give up hope but at the beginning you said the odds are bad, so if the odds are bad as you say, then why shouldn't I give up hope. So your saying to them don't give up hope but your not giving the person a reason to hope, ya know what I mean. This is why I think it would be better to just not tell her the odds are bad, leave that part off. Now if we are talking about what is said online in a post that perhaps Diem wouldn't see, then I can see how it might be okay to be a little more honest but if speaking to Diem herself, well that's different. By the way, I said "you" a lot but I don't necessarily mean you KVM but I mean people in general.
You will see once it they popped out on the final and I can see them showing a recap of some clips that are online on TV to show what the eliminated people were doing, while the others were competing in the house lol You guys just make a big deal about nothing, I know MTV knows that a show with so much competition and not enough drama/house dynamic on their channel. Instead of helping the ratings will sink them even more. They try to kind of takes the politics away last season with the draw that instead of helping them hurt them even more. A lot of people hate the draw just based through comments on MTV.com and Twitter.
So what makes you think that fans would like this twist anymore then the draw?
So what makes you think that fans would like this twist anymore then the draw?
I never say they will, like I say I am not a huge fan on seeing eliminated people go at it lol But Gimmick format bring more ratings at the end of the day and it has been proven.
I never say they will, like I say I am not a huge fan on seeing eliminated people go at it lol But Gimmick format bring more ratings at the end of the day and it has been proven.
True but with the twist being completely online, a lot of fans probably won't see it.
True but with the twist being completely online, a lot of fans probably won't see it.
like I wrote maybe they show it, I was just told that the eliminated people were being film in their little bungalow waiting for the newest eliminated team to come challenge them to exile. Idk if they meant the entire thing including the exile was for MTV.com or Just w.e they were doing while waiting. like I say idk how is going to be incorporate.
Now that even think about are you the one have the challenge, Truth booth and match up in one episode they still show plenty of the house drama/dynamic. Maybe they can incorporate it in a nice way too keep everyone happy the same for the challenge when it comes to exile/Mission and elimination?
Exactly. If people don't know who a certain castmember is then that's THEIR fault. They can easily watch old challenge/Real World/Road Rules seasons online. Or Just have them on a challenge and explain them in a 2 second clip of them.
Ah yes. Blaming the viewer, the person that BM/MTV are relying on being interested enough to watch their show for the allotted time. MTV should be doing everything it can to convince each individual to watch it. You'd be surprised at how bothersome it can be to have to look someone or something up. Let alone it being important enough for you to remember to actually do. Also, many vets are a bit too old for the target demographic. And for example, Darrell and Rachel don't have commanding personalities with where the Challenge is at, at this point.
I never say they will, like I say I am not a huge fan on seeing eliminated people go at it lol But Gimmick format bring more ratings at the end of the day and it has been proven.
Sad but true.

It takes all of a couple seconds to do a search on their phone/computer, since they are most likely glued to their phone all day, everyday with 3G/4G service & anywhere from 500GB to unlimited data. If it is bothersome to do that then that's laziness, period. I mean Rachel was JUST on one 2 years ago. I never side with these leeching corporations but its honestly not their fault people are so absent-minded & slow to the point of hilarity.
... Also, many vets are a bit too old for the target demographic. ...
You have identified MTV's basic problem. The demographic which MTV attempts to reach with its programming worked well for the first two decades of the network. It works far less well today. There are just too many entertainment choices for the 13 - 18 youth demo. And the same is even more true for the expanded demo up to 24. Expanding the demo to skew toward 18-34 could potentially bring back both lost viewers and revenue.

This whole thing about "attracting viewers" & the target demographic is nonsense b/c their target demographic is more concerned with homework & when they'll lose their virginity...they really do not care about this show like that & its silly that the show is even at this point with all the history it has behind it.

Kids are not gonna be that into a show like this and also like you pointed out there's ALOT of shows out there that Teens can easily get into. There's way too much competition out there and MTV just can't compete.
Check out this link! I previously stated that I thought Diem's cancer could be a stage 4 but I didn't know for sure. Well a friend of mine came across this link and it talks about the characteristics of the different stages of this type of cancer and she said that it seemed like to her that Diem would fit into stage 3B cancer based on the information that we know so far. Without HIPEC, just traditional chemotherapy treatment, 5-year survival rate is 40%. With HIPEC that number goes up. So the situation might be better than previously thought, still not great, but not an automatic death sentence. I thought I would share. Obviously no one will know for sure what the stage is unless Diem releases that info, so still just speculation but I think this is informed speculation. I will definitely read this later. Just remember two things: First, she is such a fighter and has been so determined w/this that she will give it her all and the support she is receiving from her fans, admirers, friends and family will help buoy her spirits. Second, there are therapies evolving every day that could add to that potential. She has an excellent relationship with the Live Strong organization. The CEO, who himself is a three time cancer survivor, will move heaven and earth for her. I would encourage everyone on Vevmo who is wishing her well to take a minute in the next few weeks and drop her a note on her MedGift page. Diem herself is now the Poster Girl for MedGift. We can give her a terrific example to use in how we encourage her on it. It's not all about the money there. You can comment w/out making a donation.
Hardcore challenge fan here as well. I probably won't watch anything online either, I shouldn't have to and anything important should be shown on tv.
Some of the best Challenge stuff is the things they save for online content that isn't shown in the shows because of time restrictions or doesn't fit with the format of the show. The after show discussions like Ex-ual Tensions are my favorite, just because the cast speaks from a reflection standpoint and they can finally put themselves out the game to look in. Let's not forget the Dailies either. They upped their online content game for Free Agents for the first time since the Dailies were gone. For 2 weeks prior to the Challenge, they had something leading up to the eventual reveal. The only thing I wish is that they produced more after shows with Devyn, Jordan, Laurel & Zach. I'll be looking forward to the online content they've got cooked up, especially if the elimination format is that the exes that have been sent to exile and live with each other without the other cast members to distract them. Jemmye & Knight living in Exile must've been hilarious.
I know the people who win exiles have to be bored. No other cast members to interact with, no daily challenges to compete in... I wonder if a team just wanted to opt out and quit could they?
Most people I know watch the full episodes online and never watch on air. I don't get the fuss until it actually airs, but okay.

I think I've figured out who, where and what order everyone goes in. DQ: CT & Diem DOME 1: JJ & Simone VS Dustin & Jess DOME 2: Adam & Brittany VS Thomas & Hailey DOME 3: ??? VS JJ & Simone DOME 4: Adam & Brittany Vs Knight & Jemmye EXILE 1: Dustin & Jess Vs Thomas & Hailey EXILE 2: Dustin & Jess Vs JJ & Simone EXILE 3: JJ & Simone Vs Knight & Jemmye *Winners in bold.
How do you think you figured it out when this is just a mere guess?
When most of us were at the 20 comment landmark, we thought we were invincible. With time, and by then often having been beaten upon by seasoned vets, we gained wisdom...and circumspection.
How do you think you figured it out when this is just a mere guess?
Through all of PinkRose's and everybody elses information, nobody seemed to have a clue of what went where, I just went through all the info and tried to make heads and tails of it all and thought I'd figured it out. Obviously I shouldn't of bothered. EDIT: That sounded as though I was being bitter, I wasn't. It was supposed to be funny, guess I should learn not to do that either
Right now I am 100% sure which are you the couple is in exile and which one is in the house.
Would you like to tell us?
ALl the info seems accurate to me and the order it happens too. Right now I am 100% sure which are you the couple is in exile and which one is in the house.
Can you tell us? Also the people stuck in the separate house must be beyond bored like what hell are they suppose to do? Just sit there with each other all day.. lol that sucks and is stupid IMO
Maybe it's just me, but I think it's kind of funny that Survivor is bringing back Exile Island this year and The Challenge is doing this Ex-Aisle twist! I love when things get shaken up a bit :)

Did posts get deleted??

Go read the Website Changes thread Smile

Question. What's this Exile twist exactly??

I'd go back and search but I don't want to run into any elimination spoilers

Eliminated teams do not immediately go home. Instead they are sent to Exile to wait for the next eliminated pair to arrive. When two teams are in Exile, they compete in another elimination round, with the loser permanently leaving the game. The winners of Exile will earn the right to stay, continue to battle the next pair eliminated until one team remains. That team will then join the final 3 for the final challenge. The teams still in the game have no idea all of this is going on.

So does that mean the other ayto team sent them home.
