As if Rivals isn't already contrived and stupid enough on it's own.
They should've done it when it mattered but the golden era people didn't need corny *** themes lol they showed out no matter what type of challenge it was.
The new cast don't need the themes, it's the current and younger viewers...The sad reality is that now days there is a reality show for everything and competition in every channel. Reality TV has evolved into trash TV/Reliable Social experiments , Viewers have evolved too that's why shows like Teen Mom/Jersey Shore/BGC/House Wives/Duck dynasty/Are You The One are sucessful.
Those challenges that were sucessful back then wouldn' be sucessful with this new generation of viewers.
It's sad how dependent viewers are on themes. Even Survivor has to constantly use them, there hasn't been a normal season in a looooong time. I'm scared for what season 30 has in store. Survivor: Rivas - Straight vs LGBT... That'll stir up some real shit!

More like DEvolved. To be honest this is why I hardly care about the newer seasons of The Challenge & RW, trying to keep up with what's "hot" in the reality world has not done this show any good.
So I am watching the Ayto special delivery... and it really makes me miss the season 1 cast!! I love them! I love the bonds they have with eachother! I just would rather see all of them on a challenge over A LOT of the real world cast... So I guess I am a bad fan... but I would love to just see an all AYTO challenge **** or at least an AYTO vs RW

It's sad how hard she's trying to stay relevant. She did the same thing on the show. All the fights started by her were so fake, it was painfully obvious she was only doing it for camera time.

They can't do it without negotiating/buying the rights to "Gay vs. Straight." The concept is registered with the Writer's Guild and was pitched to MTV several years ago by Beth and me. (FYI, so of the cast would be bi, putting an interesting twist on things. )
