The Challenge: Summer 2014 - Discussion (Spoilers)

If you think about it, we haven't really seen Theresa on a physical one on one elimination round and lose fair and square. She lost to Laurel in a cheap puzzle which was really dumb, and Tina  let Tori win that elimination. The only physical elimination she's been in (Free Agents) she won. I think that if there is a duel with physical eliminations she would win for sure. Her or Cara. With the assumption that Laurel and Emily aren't there lol

Exactly, people say that Camila gave up and handed that win to Theresa, but I don't see it that way. She wasn't in a great state of mind, but it wasn't like Camila wasn't trying. Dragging her trough the sand it's not easy at all.

Plus, not only is she physical threat, I feel like she would do really good in a final.

yea. If Theresa is on next season and it's an independent challenge like The Duel, Free Agents, or cutthroat then she's a shoe in for the final. (Assuming Laurel and Emily aren't on.)

Even though this is what everyone said when they found out Free Agents was individual.

I think people just need to admit that Theresa just sucks. She really should retire.

We all know you don't like the "noncastmembers." There's no need to bring it up every change you have.

Hey. I just like taking shots at them.

Amen.

If anyone from AYTO would be cast I think it would be Jessica, Layton, Pratt and Paris. Those are the only people that seem to be making impact, But yeah like PR said this might be a one time thing.

Free agents was barely individual they.had way to many pairs and teams

"Excuses" are completely expected, given that there are so many variables in this game that force the cast mates into completely different situations from one another. I don't see what the problem is with pointing those out unless you seriously think that there is anything fair about these challenges so let's be honest here, they are not.

Well people have bee able to overcome the unfairness. Why can't she if she's so good?

Because it's a case by case basis where no given circumstance is the same. You can't just extrapolate and say "well A did it so why shouldn't B be able to in a completely different cast, elimination round, scenario, partner, etc.?"

I think that's Crap. Shes been given so many opprotunities and Theresa has never delivered on any of them. She's had strong partners, She's had weak partners. She's competed alone and  she's tried being strategic and she's come up short everytime Several other castmembers have been in those situations and they've did well. lets face it. Theresa Sucks at these things. She'll never win won and she should stop trying to.

"Several other cast members" have NOT been in those situations because each situation is completely unique to each cast member. The percentage of having a ****** partner in one challenge and winning doesn't equal the same percentage of having a ****** partner in the next challenge even if you're the exact same type of player.  That is such a basic *** way of looking at things, which is fine, you can do what you want, but don't try to say that it's "crap" that people are looking at things on a case by case basis because they can use elementary critical thinking skills that your average 7 year old should have. It's not an "excuse" because people aren't subscribing to looking at things on a basic *** level.  It's hilarious when people try to treat the challenges like sports, by trying to insinuate that every attempt has been made to make things EQUAL and that everybody has the same barriers or obstacles to overcome.

Dude chill. I dont want this thread getting locked again.

A) My post was "chill." Were you offended?

Also,  I'm not a "dude" Wink

didn't read too far into the thread... but Theresa is average (until she proves otherwise). She's a marginally stronger version than Paula when she was racking up her losing streak before being carried through 2 challenges by the 2 strongest women to do it. (Yes I have to put that in there every time).

Theresa just needs to******* up and win to dispel any negative opinions. And I believe someone mentioned that she's missed the final every time?  It's her fault (granted Tina knew/liked Tori and essentially let her win on Cutthroat). If Wes & Casey can go 5-0 on Fresh Meat and make the final where they were one of the weakest teams.... if Landon can win with Carley... by winning when it matters despite the poor political game Landon fell into... if Evelyn can put her feelings away to make a proper decision to win the Island.... then Theresa is definitely capable of performing when it counts. That is, unless she is mediocre like we all think.

No just tired of people getting into useless arguments.

This debate over Theresa is a little ridiculous. Look, many cast members haves aid in interviews that she is athletic. And if you watch her in missions, Theresa does fairly well. So anytime she has lost it is bc someone legitimately beat her. It doesn't mean she is weak. She, like Sarah, just has bad luck in the challenges.
Now, also, let us not forget that her political and social game is awful. Theresa switches sides and teams too much to be trustworthy, which is what usually gets her in trouble.
So could Theresa win a challenge, if you are thinking athletically, yes she could. However, she probably won't until she fixes her political and social game.

Wes and Casey's victories were the result of the baggage weight rule set by production and nothing more. If they didn't unknowingly pack less than their opponents then they would not have made it past episode 1, since there would be no way they would have taken out Danny/Ev if they all carried the same weight. That's why it's important to look at things on a case by case basis rather than just making a generalization just because they got to that final. As much as I like Wes, those Fresh Meat exiles add vapid padding to his elimination record that are only meaningless numbers at the end of the day.

I'm not looking at things on a Basic *** level. All you're doing is making excuses for her just like everyone else. These challenges are unfair yes but many people on these shows have overcame that and won. Why can't she?

Like it said. It's crap. She's useless and she sucks.

That's what i was trying to say. you put it into better words.

Because it's a case.by.case basis, an elementary thought process that you can't seem to conceptualize. If you have such a problem with people's making excuses for her then that is too bad, you should probably get over it soon because it's not going to stop just because you want it too.

It's not a case by case basis. She sucks. You can't accept that and thats the problem here. Everyone can keep making excuses all they want to. It doesn't change the truth.

Omg Cray 2 it's too hostile.

No. You're just not cutthroat enough to handle it Wink

Repeating yourself doesn't make it true unfortunately. People will continue to discuss hypotheticals and you're going to have to get used to the fact that other people have different opinions from yours. That is one thing you should accept.

You are the one that quoted me and replied to me, so you obviously had a problem with what I had to say and required an answer, so I gave it to you. 99% of the time I ignore your 50,000 posts or whatever post count you're at repeating the same thing because I don't bother or care with what you have to say. So yeah, you clearly had the problem with what I w***aying otherwise you wouldn't have engaged me. I'm not going to stop or "accept it" just because you're begging me to.

Jamie, I don't think it's hostile in here. This is what DAlbum always does, put its broken album on repeat, so it might give off the air of hostility but I don't think anybody really takes it seriously enough to get to that point.

Don't flatter yourself sweetie. I don't really care about what you say either . I just argued for the hell of it.  It's not that serious to me. I'm not  begging you to do a damn thing. And honestly you're repeating the same damn thing too so you aren't any better either so you need to check yourself. You aren't special.

Oh and if you really didn't care you wouldn't have responded either so YOU had a problem with what I said too. You're doing the same thing I'm doing. Look in the mirror okay?

And you know what? I'm perfetly okay with people having different opinions than me. NOBODY on this site has to agree with me.

Where can I obtain the crystal ball that told you that Wes and Casey would not have beaten Danny and Ev if they had the same weight? That's merely speculation.

While Wes and Casey had less of a disadvantage, the fact is, they got sent in and they won, which allowed them to return. It's that simple. Winning is all that matters.

I'm checking myself right now in the mirror and I think I look positively comely.

I don't care about what you have to say. You asked me a question and I, out of the goodness of my heart wanted to help someone that was in need, so I answered your question, and then you cried that it was "crap" and that I need to "face" something. You asked and I gave, you should not slap the hand that feeds you my little Debut dumpling!

I love how Theresa plays the game politically though. It's hilarious to me how shady she can be making idiotic decisions causing uneccesary drama. I can't wait to see her and Wes play his game together.

The crystal ball can usually be found in the spherically-shaped structure attached to your cervical vertebrae, anterior to your frontal bone. It's not exactly made out of crystal but rather an organic connective squishy tissue material that functions equally as well as a crystal ball so long as minimal cognitive capacity is in order.

Wes and Casey barely beat some of their opponents despite carrying significantly less weight than most of them. It doesn't take a crystal ball to realize that if they barely beat their opponents with significantly less weight then they would not have won with similar baggage. That "fact" that they won is lovely until you've  taken away the smokes, mirrors, and 32lb of make up.
