Because people were expecting her to dominate on her two domes, but she didn't even though both were more advantageous for tall females like her.
People on this site were saying that she was going to be able to beat Laurel/Emily...Which I personally would have my money on both girls to beat her in something physical.
You can't use the bag one the switch up is the only reason they came in second but nia has performed at challenges better then Leroy but without him she wouldnt have had a chance

nia has a lot of heart IMO. not to mentino she works out everyday and has a degree....lol...not that a degree matters but this shows that she at least has SOME kind of commitment which would bleed over into the "heart" aspect of sports and sticking with something.

I think a lot of you fail to realize how situational a lot of things are. This whole Nia/Nany debate is so irrelevant because it really depends on the types of eliminations. We've seen puzzles, eating, physical, and so many others. You cannot definitively say "oh Nany is a better competitor" and vice versa. Nia would beat her in a hall brawl type thing and Nany would probably beat her in another type.
Also stop comparing the elimination when Nany got stuck. They both had different strategies since they never saw that game played before. Nia's own, as she stated, was to take few leaps and make them very wide. Nany's own was to take many smaller leaps to get down there faster. Was Nia's slow strategy better? Idk. Maybe Nany's method would've turned out winning it. At the same time, Nany won on the way down but before she got stuck she was losing energy and going slower on the way back. Again, hard to tell because of angles and the fact that we didn't see it play out. It's unfair to label Nia as mediocre because of this even though she might not have won.
It's mere luck I think about 70% of the time. Athleticism isn't the only factor. All of these girls are on the same level in the grand scheme of things because they'll win some types of eliminations and lose some as well.

The Avery vs Nia elimination wasnt just about strength or size as you guys make it out to be. Avery said she knew she was quicker than Nia. Her strategy was to get Nia exhausted (which she did but she also got herself exhausted).Johnny went into the battle thinking he was going to out strength Leroy(Lol)

I think Nia is one of the next elite girls, the ONLY thing she needs to do is work on her upper body strength. She'll be fine, she's put in work for this to only be her second challenge.
I don't mind Leroy giving her tough love at all, but like Witty said he's only just now started to give a damn about his position in the game. Regardless, they balance each other out pretty well...I feel like Nia is a part of the reason why he's finally showing up on this challenge.

The fact that she lasted for 80 minutes while her arm was hurting shows that she has a lot of heart. I don't think people should doubt Nia just because her eliminations took a long time. The Averey/Nia elimination was long because because both girls gave it their all. Averey is athletic and proved that she is fast. It's not all about size. For example, look at the Camila and Laurel elimination on Cutthroat. Laurel is twice the size of Camila and narrowly won that elimination but no one seems to call Laurel out on that. Nia has faced decent competitors so far like Cara Maria, Nany and Averey and has held her own in all of those elimination rounds IMO.

That truck challenge looks SICK..I wonder what is the concept of it..& when the trailer first aired, i already knew Leroy & Nia won that lol..something told me
This faulty harness story always kills me. ok maybe it wasn't correct how they set it up but Cara had the same pain or so she says on twitter. Nia felt better after a month, it wasn't like permanent injuries anyone who hurts their shoulder can say they were near permanent damage etc That doesn't make it any less of a loss, she lost to Cara. . It sucks the producers fixed it for the next group of people, but harness aside, it was a fair match between cara/nia. Cara still beat her. Holes in these games production makes up have cost many people lots of eliminations/money and i just don't see that as a just excuse for her loss. If Cara had a completely fine harness with 10x the padding than ok i'd be right there with you all who say that. But it was equally faulty for both. I give her credit for not giving up easily, at least that proved she can play with pain, but ultimately other than that i didn't see much. i mean she should have beat cara really being an athlete where cara is the least athletic person ever, self admitted. She still shoudl have been able to beat Cara.
