The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines Discussion (SPOILERS)

If they actually do this Bloodlines thing I think the best way would be with two big teams both having alumni and bloodlines on each team. The siblings would just be on opposite teams. For example Nia on one team while her sister on the other. Averey on one team while her sister is on Nias. If they split it Alumni vs Bloodlines who is going to wanna root for these random siblings no oen has ever seen before? Plus they could make the teams more balanced with experience on both sides. I'm just hoping for no pairs.

That's actually not a bad idea...

I like this idea. Can someone show this to MTV? This would be great.

V1Man...

I do wish someone from BMP could be interviewed so all of you could see the level of detail that goes into planning a challenge.  It's really quite remarkable. They have pages of format options.  This idea is not new; how to build the largest possible audience given the available players is always part of the process.

BTW, if it shows up at vevmo, BMP will read it.   I'm sure that is one way the learned of Trey tweet, now removed, announcing "bloodlines."

Interesting...

I don't see Bananas' sister doing it. lol They need to bring Hannah and put Nany on there as well since Hannah hates Nany. That would be great tv.

And peopl ehate Hannah your point.

youobviously haven't sweeen entirely much of the entire franchise. I rooted for many a people that I've never seen before like Gladys, Michelle Parma, Kelly Limp-Wolf, etc.

Can Hannah survive a challenge puzzle in an elimination?   I don't know and neither does any other vevmo member; but, BMP would know as a result of their psychological testing.

I'm not claiming that any challenge or elimination event was ever rigged, but I was reminded recently that on a specific past challenge, after a cast member selected an elimination from among the available cards on a display, Derrick checked the other options after the cameras were off and people were leaving.   All the options to choose from were the same.  I recall him telling me this at an event in Las Vegas in 2009 or 2010.

God, I love this insight. wouldn't be the least bit surprised if its actually true. *SIPS HIS TEA*

But people think it's the most absurd thing ever that production doesn't push for certain outcomes for various reasons...Exes 2 was a big example of this but people jumped down my throat for pointing it out lol

I don't understand how people can think that they don't rig for certain outcomes when it's been clear as day and we've seen it outright on this show. There has been instances when eliminations were outright catered to certain people to guarentee a person stays around. They do it all the time. Jodi/Veronica's elimination on the Inferno 2 is a prime example of that.

I'm not sure psychological testing would tell us if someone could solve a puzzle. During the height of his lunatic days, CT was a puzzle genius.

But to answer your question, no, I doubt Hannah could solve a puzzle. I mean, she's in a relationship with a 32 year old who scrapes by with reality tv winnings and lives with his mother Biggrin

That was the worst. Yeah, just a coincidence that the strongest girl on the Good Guys team and top three strongest in the house has to do an acrobatic elimination against a smaller, ex-dancer.

If it is bloodline I want Zach and one of his sisters so they can teach him how to treat people.

Eh Zach can stay home.

And so can Backpack and Wes.

Please forgive me if I am asking something that has already been asked but I am new here. Is it true that they will be filming in Switzerland? I am from Zurich so that would be very exciting for me! Thanks!!

No that was just an elaborate April Fools' Joke.

The problem with believing that BMP would "manage" results for ratings or any other purpose is that BMP would be in clear violation of the Game Show Act (GSA) [Google it if you don't know what it is.]  The premise is that all competition for prizes (money) must be intrinsicly fair to all.  In fact, in the old challenge contracts (prior to 2010) that I've reviewed as part of my business, there was always a reference to or incorporation of the text of the GSA.  There is always the opportunity for a cast member who felt wronged to file a compliant with the FCC.  It would be investigated (I used to know a number of the investigative staff when I lived and worked in DC, and it was a topic discussed over drinks).

BTW, my "Hannah" question was rhetorical.

Bloodlines is a really marketable theme, even Mob wives is doing a "boodline" theme for season 6:

WIth the right cast and right promotion, it can be a sucessful theme.

I don't think they whole heartedly manage stuff, but I think they make the odds slightly better in hopes for the person they want to stay or to simply create great tv.

You know who I wouldn't mind to see on a challenge again? Shane from Campus Crawl. Has anyone heard from him lately?

There goes the name Bloodline...

How about The Challenge:Backstabbed or something like Cutthroat. I always liked those titles. Or maybe even Bad Blood if they want to focus on cast members that have negative relationships with the famliy member. They can always stretch the truth.

Also this format should have been easy to guess even though it wasn't because

Ex-Plosion -> Battle of the Exes

Skeletons (Family members come on the show) -> Family/Alumni

GUYS LOOK AT THE CHALLENGE MTV (verified account) RESPONDED ABOUT BRINGING BACK LIFESAVERS!

Edit: I'm over reacting lol

Life Savers are alright, but Jolly Ranchers are way better.

Last I heard he was one of the 3 men they were considering for the RR team on Seasons 2.

sylvia has a brother (not sure if previously mentioned) Tommy but he's in the army so I'm not sure if he would be able to do one
