The Ruins had the best elimination rounds IMO. I liked how every single Ruins was different. They were all entertaining to watch. They need to bring the Shadowfighter elimination back.

Production's conversation:
"C'mon guys, we have to give Casey a little bit of hope"
"Are we sure that she will be able to break these things?"

Yea I'm still slightly convinced someone on the vets team (probably Johnny/Evan/Kenny) cut a deal with Casey to throw the challenges

You should be convinced...that's what happened. And it's been long said that they cut a deal with Brad that he wouldn't see an elimination round if he didn't vote Casey in on the one challenge they won.
^^^ brad was working secretly with the other team(evan, kenny and johnny) and he agreed to preserve casey in order to sabotage his own team which would allow him a free ride to the final
That's interesting if Brad was working for the other team on The Ruins because he seemed ****** off to have Casey around. It makes sense though since he had a lot of friends on the Champions team.
Brad's issue by the end was he realized how badly he screwed himself. I'm sure he thought that the challengers would win more challenges and, even if he didn't win the final, he'd go home with decent money rather than the 2K he would have wound up actually getting. He probably gets 5x that in appearance fee. Had he not actually cut that deal I don't think the challengers would've won the whole thing, but odds are he would've still made the final with a) better people and b) more money in his pocket. They were handily winning the 4th challenge before Casey threw it. A move that resulted in another challenger guy going home, and the champions cutting Katie, their weakest link.
At the end of the day I don't really care as I'm not a Brad fan and I actually liked everyone on the champion team other than Wes, but he really shot himself in the foot and that challenge would've been a little more competitive in the second half.

its an act. hes a good liar
I also think it's possible he hoped to double cross them towards the end and throw Casey in at some point in the second half of the game...but she erased all hope that that could happen.

Is there substantial proof of this besides Wes' letter and if so does anyone have a screenshot of this??

Veronica and Wes were amazing when they flipped the deliberation to Ibis going in instead loool.
That was my favorite moment of the season. I loved every minute of that scene. Veronica was right by saying Ibis deserved to go into the Ruins because she was the weakest link. Veronica even said she was more comfortable facing Kimberly in the Ruins but the Champions were being jerks lol if they just let Veronica choose her opponent, Ibis wouldn't have went in. That was her karma. Ibis already got a free ride on Gauntlet 2 because Kina was the team captain and didn't call her out because of their friendship. And she tried to ride JEK's coattails on The Ruins which was dumb IMO because after they got rid of Veronica, they would've thrown Ibis (to save Johanna and Susie) into every elimination until she went home.
Edit: I love when Veronica called out Ibis for being the weakest player during the deliberation, all Ibis could say was "Let's just get the show on the road dude. Let's get it done." **** she knew Veronica was right and didn't know what the **** to say.

This probably has been mentioned, not sure, but in the original Gauntlet, the girls were 4-1 against the men in eliminations.
Sarah beat David (1-0 girls)
Steve beat Tonya (1-1 tie)
Sarah beat Matt (2-1 girls)
Trishelle beat Steve (3-1 girls)
Cara beat Theo G (4-1 girls)
