The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines Discussion (SPOILERS)

Couldn't agree more about Zach. I have never seen a grown man act like such spoiled baby. The whining because he's sick. Whining at the final mission after pushing and cursing Sam out on BOS. And then a whole other level of dbag on BOE2. Yuck.

I like the male side a lot too and I can't wait to see who finishes it out. However, I wish they would drop Bananas or add more vets. I personally just don't see why they would go with Dario over Dustin but oh well.

The biggest reason why I wish it was mixed teams is because who is going to care about the Bloodline team at all especially in the first few episodes? When viewers see popular castmembers like Bananas, Camila, Nany on one side and a bunch of nobodies on the other why would anyone care about the Bloodline team?

I would think if you get voted into elimination you have to take out your bloodline.

What is so great about Dustin? He had one good season and ******* out on his others. He's not entertaining and he's actually pretty whiny. I'm thanking the Gods above that he's not on this season. Sure, another guy will have the get eliminated 2nd or 3rd now because he won't be there, but I'm sure he'll have his chance again.

Dario was entertaining on AYTO2. He was involved in drama as well as one of the core threesome couples of the season, he's an ex-college baseball player and is obviously athletic, which showed on his season, and he's actually a person who is easy to like and actually makes good tv. Dustin is a big baby and a mediocre competitor who gets way too much praise on this site. I'm glad I don't have to see his creepy stares and stupid one-liners this season.

Not gonna happen. It'd get way too messy because if you send your Bloodline home early on, you are granted immunity for the rest of the challenge. And for the male/female Bloodline duos, they can't expect a male and female to face each other without seriously altering the eliminations and that would be ridiculously dumb.

I am in the minority because I like the male side a lot lol

Other than Bananas and even Cohutta, I dont know what to expect from the male alumni side so far since we have never see them compete in a challenge enviroment even including Thomas. I am tired of the same repetitive storylines of Bananas/CT/Wes/Leroy/jordan/Zach with his tantrumsv being a dbag and Dustin feeling like an outsider/going home early.

As far as Dario, oh well ayto is going to be represented on the challenges for now on. He is one of those people I didnt mind at all. Plus, I can see why production is going with him for this specific format.

I actually like the male side too with the exception of Backpack and to a certain extent Dario. It's mainly new people which is refreshing considering the regulars were starting to get stale. I hope this season doesn't end up being a lay up for Backpack and he gets taken out somehow.

Um....no.

Look at it this way, there are people out there who hate Bananas, hate Camila, hate Nany, etc. Now say those people go into an elimination against a Bloodline and lose. Those Bloodlines are goi to gain some fans by taking out the Vets that people hate.

Some of these Bloodlines look pretty strong. KellyAnne's boyfriend, Marie's sister (if they make it), etc. If it turns out to be Veterans vs. Bloodlines, I don't see the Vets cleaning house on this season. I'm thinking it's going to be pretty balanced.

Exactly what I mean though. If he's gonna be on it again why not this season. He has a perfect bloodline for it.

What is so great about Thomas? Nothing, but he's a twin and fits perfectly for this format. As for Dario, I don't watch AYTO so I don't know why he is even on the challenge in the first place. However, that doesn't mean I'm not going to like him. Like him or not, Dustin is one of the most popular and dramatic real world cast members. Personally, I'd rather see him on this format over most of the cast members, especially people who aren't even from the franchise. Just my opinion!

I agree 100% about Dustin!
Little to no clue about Dario but he's ayto so I'll hate him until he gives me a reason not to.

Does he really have a perfect bloodline for it? His brother is an MMA fighter for the athletic part it can be a good addition, but by what I have heard he is pretty calm, in a serious relationship and "boring" that was one of the reasons they got drop really early on. After all, Its a reality tv show you need some kind of personality to get on.I would have agree with this if Victoria (dustin little sister) would have been interested in doing it, him being over protective with his little sister would have been great tv.

Thomas and Dario both have young twins brothers, by what I heard have personalities that can translated to good tv. He is on the challenge because he was on AYTO, for now on you are going to see people from that show on the challenge and some of them are going to be part of the franchise. Respect your opinion! But I do see why Dustin got axed early on.

Since dario will most likely be on, we better see great shots of his ***. Hahaah i heard it is really nice from some of his castmembers

Awwww this genuinely warms my heart, Nia met up with Jordan (He's in Atlanta for a while)..FYI: They are in his suite.
#ThatLoveHateRelationship

I'm not a fan or Jordan but he handled that situation with Nia very well.

Also he did forgive her. I would never do that. But I do admire him for doing it. They are cute.

mhmmm It wouldnt be production fault, they would love to fit us CT/Wes/Bananas every challenge.

Exactly.

As one person in the know put it to me: "If it were up to us, we'd call it the CT/Bananas/Wes show with rotating guest stars."

That's sad as **** and that lets you know for a fact that this show has hit rock bottom and the purpose of it has been defeated.

See this is why it baffles me why people think they wouldn't manipulate/tamper with some things in order to make sure their "stars" make it far in the game. I just watched an episode of Love Games 2 (don't ask ****) & at the very end during those rapid-speed credits, it says in so many words that the producers talk with the contestants & have some influence in their decision-making. The Challenge is one of the last real shows left & it has been steadily drifting towards that "real" (with quotation marks) category that The Real World is now apart of.

Just put the show out of its misery...why must they continue to stomp this once-excellent show into the ground like this? *cries*

Can you not.

I mean yes, someone who has a professional athlete as a sibling would qualify as a perfect bloodline to me. Especially over someone like Jenna who's just bringing whatever cousin she talks to the most lol. It's hard to believe that someone who is known for professionally fighting is pretty calm or boring. Idk how someone can be seen as having a good personality for tv or be too boring for tv. Thomas was cast for reality tv and was pretty boring. Hopefully Dario and his brother make some kind of mark on the season or what a missed opprotunity it will be.

Well, by what I was told is that BMP were looking for more than a great athlete. They were looking for people that have charisma and based on interview that they feel that the particular bloodline have a good personality for a reality show according to the casting director judgment. Based on what I have heard Josh was lacking one of the above thats why they were drop before final calls and not even consider as alternates.

Jenna's and her cousin, I am assumming they are hoping Brianna is slutly they want the hookup factor lol To be honest I don't know why Jenna is even being cast.

To be honest I preferd a reality show with 10 Maries and Katies than one with 10 Emily schrooms.

Eh that's what the real world is for, but I do agree somewhat. However, you can't have 9 Katies and 1 Emily Schromm. Jenna isn't a Katie or an Emily and there's no guarantee her cousin will be either so why she is a definite is beyond me haha. Also, just because you are quiet in an interview doesn't mean you won't be entetaining during an athletic/intense/crazy/dramatic atmosphere, and even if he is boring there's no guarantee Dario/Brother won't be, and you have people like Jenna and Thomas who are lol. I would just think if you had an opprotuniny to cast a dramatic cast member who has a pro athlete as a brother they would take it, but whatever I'm over this at this point lol. Arguing about it isn't going to change their decision.

Also, I see a problem with having it alumni vs bloodlines. The bloodlines will either get knocked out one by one like the Ruins or if it's the opposite and they turn out to be strong and win, you have a bunch of random people winning a season of the challenge.

I agree with you. I think mixing the teams while keeping relatives on separate teams would have been the better move. Still allows for relatives to face each other in eliminations without having a whole team of people who have never been on a challenge and don't really know what they're doing. Maybe they'll surprise me and it'll be like Gauntlet 2 where even though most of them were newish to challenges they banded together to get the win.

I like the alumni vs. bloodlines format. It will help show who the best Bloodlines are that can return for other seasons.

Imagine Brianna turns out to be one of the baddest******* ever... We already know Makeda and Victoria will be.

I agree. I think that is painfully obvious honestly. I mean, I dont mind Jenna and her cousin being on this season, but everyone that watched last season knows that Jenna could not care less about winning. She did very respectable in all of the challenges (minus the final), but did not show an ounce of competitive fire in at any point. Based on what we hae seen of her cousin, she seems to be a Jenna version 2.0, so I dont see much reason to expect anything different from her in these areas either. I think its safe to say too that the only reason they accept the invites to be on the challenge is purely for the exposure aspect through being on TV (i.e. more social media followers, more popularity amongst fans etc.).

So this is my theory as to why so many people find Jenna to be "boring" on this show. They arent going to make any enemies and they are probably the least likely to be a threat for a final out of this girls cast. They arent going to use any kind of strategy. They will probably hold their own in challenges but thats about all they will offer from an athletic stand-point.

So that leaves the one thing that we all know they are very likely to do and clearly brought in to do which is to: 1.) hook up with guys/ cheat on boyfriends 2.) party with all the friends they will make while there 3.) say some hilarious ditzy one liners. I personally will get some comedic relief out of all of this and i am truly not Anti-Jenna by any means like i know many on here are. I think the show needs girls like this to add entertainment value. But i am also torn because as a huge fan of the show, and with this supposedly being a make or break season with a lot on the line for this franchise, i think they could have done better than these two.

Couldn't agree more about Zach. I have never seen a grown man act like such spoiled baby. The whining because he's sick. Whining at the final mission after pushing and cursing Sam out on BOS. And then a whole other level of dbag on BOE2. Yuck.

He was awful on Exes 2. I can't stand Jonna, but I felt soooo bad for her on Exes 2. Zach was nothing but rude to her for mostly no reason.

I would think if you get voted into elimination you have to take out your bloodline.

Ooh that could be really interesting. If your team wins you get to nominate someone from the other team into elimination, but then their relative from your team has to go in against them. That would be an interesting twist to save until after the first nomination.

Let me clarify too that i hope to be proven wrong and eat my words. It would be bad *** if we saw a different side of Jenna. Some kind of boss/beast mode that we didnt know she had. I just HIGHLY doubt that will happen so therefore i think they could have brought someone else in that could offer more all round to the show. Mainly because this is seemingly going to be such a crucial season for the future of this franchise.

If you are quiet in a interview who's going to pay for you to fly across the world for a show when they aren't sure what you bring? Atleast if you bring personality in your interview they know you have potential.

To the people who don't understand the Alumni vs. Bloodlines format did it occur to you that maybe people want to see who these crazy people they've been watching for years are related to? The reason people will want to see the Bloodlines team is for that reason and to see can they take out their family.
