Doesn't it annoy y'all that the Real World doesn't make headlines anymore? Like all the dumb Housewives shows make headlines and everyone talks about what happened, but Real World is so much more compelling than most reality tv shows. Ugh I just love it so much. I love this cast already and I couldn't stand most of them before it aired.
Well I mean this show had it's time in the sun and now it's over and it's just another reality show in the grand scheme in Reality TV. Real Houewives and shit similar to that are whats popular right now(don't get why. Those shows aren't interesting in the slightest to me).
Sabrina really comes off as fake and being extra. One of those replacment girls should've been cast over her honestly.
This is the second season in a row where I felt they cast two girls with similar personalities where one wasn't needed. I think her and Kailah are alike and so was Violetta and Sylvia.

It does for me. People are so head-over-heels for the scripted shit now & its ridiculous. If MTV would get their act together I feel like RW could be back on top.The easiest way for them to get ratings IMO would be to start marketing the show to the "urban" crowd, if you catch my drift. Test the waters, do a season in Atlanta with an AA/Latin/Asian cast.
I see what you mean. That would go bad or really well. I'd say the latter. I would like to see a season like that but in a non-white foreign country and maybe 1 of those castmembers who's from that place gets to experience their culture for the first time or soemthing like that. That'd be fun to watch.

Yeah. Sabrina seems like a watered down version of Kaliah. Like she's not geunine and doesn't really stand for what she says she does and she doesn't seem very convincing with her excitement.
3. A tall pretty black girl (I think she works at hooters? She looks like she could be a model to me.), a cute puerto rican girl who seems pretty sassy & fun, and a really tall white guy who appears to be a joker/prankster.
looool i've been saying kaliah for the longest time... i was like "thats such a nice name"... only to find out its Kailah. now it's a lame *** ******* name lol

I may just keep calling her Kailah, cause its stuck.
Tbh, very good firs episode. It may not get the ratings it deserved, because of when/the day it premiered, but I truly felt like they executed a hybrid of RW/RR very well.

I'm around that shit everyday, doesn't phase me. Grow up somewhere else then move to the South and you'll see it everywhere.
****ooo. I ain't goin tto say shit on it but Jenna's comments ain't that bad.
I agree, it's not really that bad. She is actually COMPLIMENTING them for acting normal!
What the **** is normal? Acting "white"? Can black people talk in country slang like Jenna without being viewed as a thug or dress like they want to like Dione without being ostracized for it? You sound real dumb. Many black people have had this conversation with an ignorant person trying to compliment them about how they don't act like a black person..that's not a compliment.
Right.
Jenna has this " if you just act normal, aka like decent white folks, everything will be fine and you won't get judged" mindset. The problems are this: That way of thinking implies acting how she views as proper is the only way to be. Which is incredibly arrogant. And another thing, many non-whites have made the mistake of thinking that just because they are educated and perhaps live in affluence that they'll be immune from ignorance. They aren't, because they get wake up calls sooner or later.
Jenna has no idea what life is like for anyone outside her "I do a little partying, southern Mormon girl" lifestyle.
Yep, Jenna thinks assiminaliting will make all the problems go away. SHe needs to look to the girst half of the 20th centurary and see how many blacks tried extremly hard to assimilate into White cutlure, men straightening their hair in the 30's and 40's, well to do black families going through school integration in the 60's, and see how they were treated. They had people showing up trying to throw rocks at them. The whole black power/pride thing got big because of the constant rejection. She just isn't educated on the subject at all and is trying to make point based on her very limited point of reference.
Such a good premiere. I expected to be unimpressed and annoyed from the cast but they definitely put together a good job casting with the exception of Sabrina. She's ok but I feel like she's a similar, but not the exact same type of character as Kailah. CeeJai's story hit me cus I've grown up in the streets so I know plenty of kids who have lost one parent to guns, but TWO? And Dean lost some points for not speaking against Jennas comments solely because he's trying to smash
IDG casuals. They were compalining how they want real people and real problems and when racist girl shows up they are like "I hate her! I don't watch this with her!!1 I hope she goes home!!1'. I thought racism is pretty real problem.
Just watch last night meet the cast special and show:
1. Why wasnt Karimah cast over Sabrina?
2. Really enjoy the first episode and so far liking this cast. Other than the "golden *****" argument didnt have any other petty drunk drama, which I enjoy. They didnt force any storylines, its looking more natural.
3. It had everything in my opinion fun moments, tension between roomates and real moments. The cast so far was genuine.
My ranking after the first episode:
1. Ceejai
2. Chris
3. Dean
4. Kailah
5. Dione
6. Jenna (She is a good character for this show especially with the ignorant stuff she says)

They always complain about everything for every show on the Facebook pages.
They complained that this cast was ugly, but before that too many people looked like models.. *yawn*
LOVED the first episode! I've been dying for a Road Rules reboot and this is giving me it. I'm already obsessed with CJ. I'm also loving Dean and Chris, who I'm both somewhat attracted too. Kaliah is gorgeous IMO but her Jenna, Sabrina, and Dione, who looks 40, are very try hard.

Who was complaining? I know I haven't.
I'm also very impressed with how everyone got equal cameratime. Or imo, they all did.
I dont really like Sabrina. She just came off as trying too hard to me. & I didn't really care for Dean being silent just cause he wanted to smash Jenna. Stupid af
So how many replacements were shown? Any links?

Karimah removed her casting tape from YouTube a while ago like most people who were cast or made finals.

Looking forward to watch this tomorrow after reading your guys comments<3
BTW for those who asked the show did trend tonight.

As a Bad Girls Club fan, this was 100x entertaining than the BGC15 premiere that aired 2 days ago.. In my opinion
about to watch it on On demand right nowww lol

I Stan for karimah
I liked Karimah but I think Dahiana would have clashed more with Kailah and Jenna so would have preferred her over Sabrina.
Karimah or Dahiana would have be ten times better than Sabrina...I feel like she is another Emilee fitzpatrick.

Nostaglic comments on this thread tho...
