I agree with all of this. If you are want to watch something just for competition I recommend watching sports or something like American Ninja Warrior.

To be honest, the same argument could be turned against you guys, if you want to see character development I recommend watching films, series, the real world even.At the end of the day, this show is called The Challenge, so when there is barely that after multiple episodes of petty drama, expect the viewers to be upset.

Like I said before this is REALITY SHOW. There's gonna be character developement involved because THAT'S WHAT DRAWS PEOPLE IN! When you watch a show like this you need to actually care about the people that are on it and root for or against them..that's what character development(and the drama) comes in. Every Reality show Similar to this one does it..Survivor/Big Brother/TUF/Rednekc Island..all of them.I swear it's like people don't get how reality shows work.

The overuse of "character development" is hilarious. The challenge is different from the other reality tv game shows, because it brings people that the audience knows and is familiar with, so there is no point in "character development" (lol) if the character has already been developped. And even then, you guys act as if we have never seen these players before, most of the cast has been doing these challenges for multiple seasons, but now all of the sudden we need "character development" ? That's just a scapegoat.

Oh so everyone already knew both Fresh Meat casts when they first came on The Challenges? Everyone Knew Camilla when she first came on?

Yes, the challenge has always been a mixture of drama and challenges, but you can't deny that on this season the petty drama overshadows the competiton. That is why some people are frustrated and you can't blame them. I'm okay with what the show has become and have no problem with it, but I can also see how someone could view this season as a "flop" I guess.

I can't understand that perspective when you have people getting DQd and quitting as much as this season has. Having eliminations every episodes would not be logical and everything would seem like a ***********. There is no way you can squeeze a daily challenge, elimination, someone quitting, and the reason why they are quitting all in one episode and have it make sense.

No other reason.

First of all, chill because your temper tantrum might damage your fingers. And secondly, you have already admitted that you don't like certain people just because of their original season where they appeared, whether it was FM/Spring Break/AYTO? you said it yourself multiple times, so there's no need to argue that. But really the point that I was trying to make wasn't even that, you seem to give props to a person for a the same reason you're dissing another. Nonetheless, keep doing you my friend, hypocrisy would be the least of your problems tbh.

People complain about no eliminations, but people are dropping like flies DQing and leaving from the house. But then when they bring in replacements they still complain, but they also want more eliminations. Like I don't get it.

This is The Challenge. You guys used to talk about how the older seasons focused on more besides competition and who's the strongest which is what they are now doing again. I'd rather have a better understanding on house dynamics then for them to remove that footage just to have eliminations every episode.

I'm not part of the "you guys" though? I don't watch The Challenge for the house dynamics and character development. I watch for the challenges. Save the house dynamics and character development for the real world. That's what I'd like to see, not one elimination in 6 episodes just to show house dynamics

House Dynamics and Character develpment are apart of the challenge. I'm very much aware. But that character development can stay on Real World

Yes you can, and it's been done multiple times in the past, and it really doesn't take much time to make the audience understand the reason why someone quit, I mean look at the last episode, we literally saw 30 seconds of Tom being informed about his gf's state and then cut to the jungle. The reason I think this season has been stretched is because of the drama, but the thing is, some of it could of been easily cut.

I am sick of everyone complaining like production can't help when people go home.  If all these people went home and we still had eliminations we would basically be at the final already. Is it annoying yes but it is not MTV/BMP fault that 3 teams left/got DQed. A team was eliminated basically every episode since we 5 teams are gone like when you want 9 gone already so you can have eliminations it wouldn't even be a 10 episdor season. On a different note it is somewhat a good thing Wes/nany & tomy/camilia didn't go in elimination would it have been an awesome elimination yes but you we would have 1 really good top entertaining team already gone out of the house and you people would be complaining about AYTO still there like you can't win.

Easy solution - bring in replacements for each of the DQs, and still have an elimination every episode. Same number of people would be gone but we'd at least still have eliminations. Plus a season full of replacements and potential teams to shake up the competition would be gold in and of itself.

Nobody only wants competition, we just want a balance, we're 6 episodes in and only one elimination has even mattered. Eliminations are my favorite part of the show and it sucks not to see them.Im starting to pefer ******* island now tbh.

But then people complain about pairs being stretched but had they done past seasons like this for example Exes 2 we would have had a full understanding of why Simone and Thomas was paired. I mean we know she threw the drinks but they never even showed him getting in her business or her getting in other people's business. I think it's refreshing to have a season where no one is really invisible.

they could hardly find enough people to cast how the **** are the supposed to get 5 replacement teams? They didn't have 2 replacement teams which is why Devon/Chey came back. Pink states that they tried and called everyone to get Avery a partner when Leroy left and each person declined. There is only so much production can do

Another easy solution - stop with the themes that ostracize 90% of potential cast members. You can bring Tom and Simone on Cutthroat 2, FA 2, or literally anything else that doesn't require us to know why they fit the "theme" of the season.

These themes are what brings in the general audience which is why seasons like Rivals and Exes are more successful. Also it doesn't really take away from a lot of the potentials because they asked quite a few this season who chose to decline.

Y'all are on the losing side. Yawn

Y'all are on the losing side. Yawn

No. You're thinking as fan instead of looking at it from the perspectives of others like production.

because you don't want to see fresh meat regardless of character development or not and yes I do understand that, do you? All of these people FIRST CAME ON on their Real World/AYTO season where we already got "character development" so why the **** do we need it NOW. HINT: we don't need it NOW. So why are you arguing it

It doesn't matter what I want to see because I'm not talking about me here so what I like or not is irrelevant as far as that goes. I'm talking about IN GENERAL. And you do realize that not everyone watches The Real World/AYTO right? So character development is needed for the people that DON'T know them because they have never seen them before..kinda like FM/BL/AYTO.

If they have to stretch pairs, that's a good enough sign they don't have enough teams to fit that theme anyway. So why not open it up to anyone who wants to do a challenge instead of ignoring them. The reason most people declined is probably because none of them want to work with someone they hate. Or they don't want to work with their ex. Like... It's that simple????? These themes limit their casting pool to about 30 people, and each season has about 24 soooooooo. Broaden their casting pool, and there's where they'll get willing replacements when all these DQs happen. This season would've been better had it not been a themed challenge and instead a FA2 or something.

***** first off you don't even like Fresh Meat so bye @ you bringing them up. If we're using them as an example though, then yes, THEY need character development because we haven't seen them on Real World, or, ya know, the past 7 seasons of The Challenge. This editing and character development should've been used in Bloodlines, not Rivals 3.

What does me not liking Fresh Meat have anything to do with the point that I'm trying to make? And Notice when I said when they FIRST CAME ON! They needed character development THEN they don't need it NOW. Do you undertsand that?

because you don't want to see fresh meat regardless of character development or not and yes I do understand that, do you? All of these people FIRST CAME ON on their Real World/AYTO season where we already got "character development" so why the **** do we need it NOW. HINT: we don't need it NOW. So why are you arguing it

It doesn't matter what I want to see because I'm not talking about me here so what I like or not is irrelevant as far as that goes. I'm talking about IN GENERAL. And you do realize that not everyone watches The Real World/AYTO right? So character development is needed for the people that DON'T know them because they have never seen them before..kinda like FM/BL/AYTO.

Oh, but these shows are linked right? Why watch one and not the other? Hmm???? taKing a shot in the dark and gonna say they might watch the challenge for the challenges...

No. You're thinking as fan instead of looking at it from the perspectives of others like production.

But production should view their show as a fan aswell, because the fans are what's keeping the series alive.

They are looking at it as fans and the ratings haven't dropped so the change isn't being viewed negatively by most like Real World was.

Take the L. There's a reason people are upset.

If you're the one so annoyed with the season how exactly is he taking the L when he's unbothered and enjoying it? Ratings have been way better than bloodlines anyways.
