Idk I liked the exile twist and thought it was good but the eliminations were trash except for the last one. Plus we got Nany vs Nia. But I've wondered how the season would end had that twist never existed.
3 of Bananas losses aren't legitimate. 1. Tyler said he could lift some shit and Banan***aid okay do it, 2. Tyler was a fat ***, CT is an animal and destroyed John. And Tyler's chubby *** laid there and CT couldn't move him. 3. Nany's unclutch self got caught on a branch. By no means am I saying Bananas would have beaten Leroy, but he never had the chance to try. The other 3 loses Gauntlet 3, Bloodlines and the 2nd loss in Exes2 were 100% on him. John is good at this game if you want any chance of winning a season you need to get him out earlier on. If he makes it to the final he's not losing. He's lost 2 finals, one was a big team final and the other was CT's only win (CT was not gonna lose that final idc if it was CT&Wes vs. Darrell&Landon) Bananas has earned his respect on the show and no new male competitors want to test him. I would love to see Frank and Zach team up against him for a season.
I want Backpack gone from this show period. It's rediculous that because one season didn't do well in ratings they made this show all about him and noone else.

Honestly they shouldn't even bother with the ratings with the low amount of advertising and effort they put into the challenge they had multiple oppurtunities to push new faces of the show but instead they decided to catter to JEK when they were all around. They could've focused on Jordan/Marlon/Frank/Zach for the new generation but instead they choose to give this guy all the power its sad but what can we do about it...

I think the bolded is why Seasons 2 flopped in ratings. They didn't bother push the newer RW seasons coming on the challenges during the JEK era so when they took center state on Seasons 2 and JEK and all their friends weren't there people just tuned out because they didn't know anyone.
That's why they need to go back to having different as possible casts each season like they did the 6 vs 6 era and Then Seasons 1 and Sexes 1. Make this show where it's not on the back of one/two people...it needs to be about everyone(or even just most) involved in the show.
It's amazing how much production has poorly managed this new era of competitors. Because they were so far up JEK's ***** at the time only for two of them to get banned. Funny how that played out.

That's why I think it's stupid for them to try to make certain people "stars" and be the "faces" of the show. Because anything can happen to them. I mean they could end up getting banned like Evan/Kenny, they could just not want anything to do with the show anymore like Svetlana. or just move on like several others. It's best for them to just get a good cast and have several stars season to season.
I mean look what happened to CT. He's one of the biggest names this show has produced yet now it's unknown whether he'll come back or not. And what are they gonna do when Backpack leaves(he can't do these shows forever).
I hope they're going somewhere cold for next season
Me too! I loved the location for Fresh Meat 2.
Me three.
But yeah while i agree that they shouldn't focus on one person i think that they should still have the "main stars" like on the golden era you had varieties of casts but you still had beasts and fan favorites like Mike, Darrell, Landon,CT,Derrick,Brad and others and you could have a mix of the main stars and have some on Season X and others on season Y and then join them on season W thats what this show is lacking...breaks from the main stars for people actually to miss them and fill that hole with new stars from inbetween the breaks of the bigger stars.

He totally deserved his Backpack loss (he would've lost to Tyler anyway if CT wasn't there) as well as his Exes II losses (emphasis on the fact he lost twice). And it's well known that Adam made a deal with Johnny and threw the Tyler/Bananas vs. CT/Adam elimination. He would've lost there too, but even if not, he should've lost that final as well, because Wes/Kenny's lead was diminished to 5 minutes on day 2 of the final, when they were well ahead of Bananas/Tyler on day 1. The only ones you can say he deserves are Inferno III, Exes, and Free Agents. Rivals was a BS win for all those^ reasons, Island and Ruins were completely lop-sided competition-wise, and Rivals 3 was handed to him on a silver platter.
He's obviously elite, especially in finals and missions, but his elimination record is pretty weak when you don't count the Adam/CT rigged one. His only impressive elimination win was against Mark/Robin, he losses quite a bit, which is why it's so annoying that people hesitate to throw him in.
Honestly, I'm just wondering what changed between Cutthroat and now that production went from hating him and bringing in CT to take him out, to them handing him easy wins and making up BS rules just to appease the guy.
Oh really? Because on the Island, they easily could have voted him out Episode 2 if they got their shit together, everyone hated him outside of his main alliance. On BOTE2, he was gone Episode 5, and again Episode 10 or whatever. Rivals 2, the girls were idiots and kept them. Exes, CT& Diem should've thrown them in vs. Ty&Emily, they could've lost there. On Free Agents, didn't matter who got last in missions. For example, CT&Zach could've easily chosen Bananas to go in when they won, then he has a 50/50 shot of going against either Leroy or Cohutta. If it's Leroy, he's gone. Instead they choose Cohutta, who is obviously going to lose. He's top tier in missions and finals, but his elimination record is 7-6, pretty mediocre. As long as you get someone decent in there for him to go against, there's a shot he's gone. There are plenty of opportunities and some strong guys that can do it (well maybe not on a season like Rivals 3 full of scrubs), people just don't pull the trigger. NONE of his elimination wins are that impressive.
No one said he's undefeated. He's beatable. His challenge wins and his physical presence on daily challenges are what may deter people from realizing he's actually beatable. Who cares if his elimination wins aren't impressive when he's been able to win 6 challenges through his tenure?

Dude give it a rest already you sound like a whiny *****. Just because you don't like Bananas doesn't mean his wins aren't justified. Nothing worse than some dbag who isn't even on the show for that matter trying to disprove someones wins. Anyone who finds away to get their *** to the final no matter how they managed to get there. Then goes on to complete the final 1st or in the fastest time deserves the win in my book. You can quit with your conspiracy theories & fantasy bs as well. Adam never threw that damn elimination or is it Bananas or Tylers fault for how the rules were in the Rivals 1 final. They still finished 1st in one of the hardest finals the challenge has ever had.

Get your head out of his ***, I can complain about how he plays the game all I want. That's the point of being on a forum is discussion.

Because Battle of the Seasons 2 didn't do well in ratings...
Also I really don't like Bananas but I dont think production favors him as much as people say.
Nah I thin Johnny IS production golden boy, on one of his last interviews after rivals 3, he mentioned something about how production would have to hire a hitman or something to take him out of the game, bc so far no one has been able to. I mean regardless of all his wins (and Im not taking anything away from him) he gives himself a lot of credit it's not like poor Johnny againts the world all by himself, production has his share too.
If production really "hated" him like he said during cutthroat, I would say that it all worked in his favor, bc he for sure got really lucky with the kenny and evan banned, and then winning 4 challenges after cutthroat.
I don't think production started to have a Johnny bias until maybe Exes 1. He didn't really get a main edit on Rivals 1 and according to him production hated him on the Island, Ruins and Cutthroat. I truly believe that CT was pretty much put on hold and saved for an "interesting" Gulag matchup. Maybe not for Johnny specifically, but I do believe they saved him for when two good competitors went in. What would be the point of him going in against scrubs? I think they saw it was Johnny, knew their history, knew that Tyler is a good competitor too and they'd get something good out of that, and specifically sent him for that episode. Why else would he come on the second to last elimination? That's so random and makes no sense. I think once Kenny and Evan went, and Wes became less invested in the shows, and they saw that a lot of the newer kids weren't as well received by the larger audience, they put more eggs in the CT and Johnny baskets and started treating them like the stars.
He also did get screwed by production on Bloodlines. The episode he went home on should have been a girls episode since the last one was guys. Why did it randomly change to ANY team can go in? Probably because Cara came in last and they could play up the enemies thing regardless of who won. Not that he doesn't deserve to get a little heat from production sometimes, but objectively, that switch was some arbitrary bullshit.

Yup and look at BOTS2 ratings compared to bloodlines and rivals 3 lmao. rivals 3 only got over **** viewsers ONCE while every episode in BOTS 2 was over ****.

To be fair, the whole Bloodlines format was a disaster. And I think they changed it when switching back into pairs cause it wouldn't be fair to have male/male teams be safe and female/female teams be safe on the opposite gender day when there's male/female teams that can go into elimination any day.
People like Laurel or Bananas treat The Challenge like it's the ******* Olympics Games like omfg it's a game show calm down smh
USA gold medalists in the Olympics only get rewarded only get $25,000 (plus sponsors IF you get them). You can get $150K+ on Challenges. I think it's fine to talk about competition, that's a big point of the show.

I get that it's fine but be someone else tho other than "doing challenges" it's a game show smh at least everyone on the Olympics are legit athletes.

I don't think production hates him nor do they think he is their "golden boy". He has a big fan base, provides drama and competition so obviously they are going to put him on the show especially for the fan base part. It's goes the same for CT, Camila and Nany just to name a few. If those 3 said yes to every challenge possible they will be put on just like Bananas.

who what where when and why
Pretty sure he has one of the biggest followings aside from maybe a few people, always is apart of some arguement and competes well......

To the Bolded: That was a stupid thing to do and it was mainly their own damn fault the new kids didn't get over.
And again. It was dumb to make those two the stars. Because look what has happened since then: Diem's passing has made CT's future on the shows uncertain. He may never return again. In addition to that Backpack can't do these shows forever. They need to start building new stars and start making the cast different from season to season. Because doing the show that ways is going to give this carry this show into the future. Relying on certain people to carry this show on their backs is stupid and it defeats the purpose of this show completl imo.

I agree that it was stupid 100%. I also agree that it was their fault that people didn't like Frank, Zach, etc. I've said it a hundred times...a lot of the "fan favorites" didn't start out getting bad edits. Kenny, Evan, Johnny, CT, Paula, etc. were given fairly favorable edits at the beginning because the goal, as it should be, was to get us to like them. If Island Johnny had been the first Johnny we'd ever seen he'd have ZERO fanbase. Or Ruins Kenny and Evan. Or Rivals Paula. (I know you don't like these people regardless, but I'm speaking broadly). Frank, Zach, Knight, Jemmye, and others were given ****** edits their first go. So, instead of getting people on their side and on board with new generation, people wanted their favorites to come back and kick the shit out of them. It's their own fault. They should have gradually introduced the new people, and gradually phased the old ones out. Having Frank come in and giving him the Johnny Bananas edit, when Johnny had YEARS to get fans to like him despite his ******yness, was dumb as hell.

People like Laurel or Bananas treat The Challenge like it's the ******* Olympics Games like omfg it's a game show calm down smh
USA gold medalists in the Olympics only get rewarded only get $25,000 (plus sponsors IF you get them). You can get $150K+ on Challenges. I think it's fine to talk about competition, that's a big point of the show.
Sit tf down with liking the exiled twist ew. Wes and Theresa winners robbed that's it
I get that it's fine but be someone else tho other than "doing challenges" it's a game show smh at least everyone on the Olympics are legit athletes.

And therin lies the problem...
