exactly, I knew what you meant. If I walked into the Real World house and saw 6 other blacks, I would act differently than a house with me and 6 white people.
I'd know a turn up was bouta happen. I'd legit be geeked as ****
I don't think Reality TV was any less organic than it is now.But The people? Oh yeah. 100%
Nah its wayyyy too many of these "half-scripted" reality shows dominating now IMO.
True. But back then they also manipulated and controled shit too. I mean Irene from the original RW Seattle talks about it as does Amaya from RW Hawaii as well.

My comment was a general statement since it caught my attention that DA brought up "black people this season" on the comment above mines in respond to your post about "putting REAL people in the house". I agree with you that reality tv and the people on it were way more organic back then than it's now.
Well I didn't really mean for it to come across like that if it did. Obviously real doesn't come with race. But there are certain qualities that are more common in certain groups of people than others.

Shaunie O'Neal, Carlos King, all these shows on channels like Lifetime/A&E, etc. they're all over the place & I don't know why they're so popular as opposed to shows like RW/The Challenge.

You have a point there.
Which is what I just said and you said you disagreed

And some of those qualities are perfect for reality TV but proudcers pass up those kinds of groups too often now and if they don't they get the "safe ones". I mean look at RW/Challenge and how they do Black men...you ususally see guys like Dean and Jason who are cool and laid-back and kinda Corny. But you'll rarley(if ever) see someone like Kevin(RW New York) or Greg from Hollywood. Or even just a guy that's a male Nia. Because they know they'll turn shit out and they don't want that.
I hope that make sense because I feel like I went into something else completly lol.

HIS REAL NAME AINT EVEN CARLOS
Smh see....just all around fake shit now. It's entertaining I guess but when you got people like Nene & the Jersey Shore cast making millions then you know at least half of the shit ain't real
Have MTV show any commercial for this yet? I hope they put more time on them than they did on the trailer and hopefully they do some individual promos like they did for explosion/skeletons
MTV is stupid enough to think just by casting the way they did will bring viewers.....I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get anything else until Oct. 12.

We'll probably get a commercial here and there but nothing major until the premiere.

They do show a lot of commercials but on MTV that is not putting great ratings other than teen mom.
They need to show them in other channels and on IG/snapchat like they do for teen mom.
People fighting makes it LESS real IMO....a lot of normal, REAL people don't fist fight in their lives. I mean, everyone here for example, noone here has ever been in a fight, we are all regular average peeps!

I've been in quite a few fist fights myself. I think it's actually more real to see physical fights particularly with these twists that involve people with a strong dislike for each other. I would find it crazy to have a season called Bad Blood and have no fights.

lol you're making assumptions. do i fight now? nah im too old for that shit & a little more chill. but 2yrs ago yuup. physical fights do make it more real. you may not fight, but other people do in REAL life. not everyone walks around letting people disrespect them or talk to them like their crazy. for example ive seen people say reckless shit on here, where in real life the people around me would've been popped them. so it depends on the person. it may not be your real life, or the people you're around. but it is someone elses.
In my opinion someone's race doesnt make someone less or more real than anyone else. #JustsayingPersonality and the way they carried themselves is way more important than if someone is white, black, hispanic, asian, etc.
This is going to ruffle some feathers, but I think it does. I think as a whole, minorities are more honest when it comes to expressing themselves. Thats why I'm always surpirised they dont cast more.

The only unrealistic part about fighting on the show is that they have producers immediately stop it, in real life you're not always going to be so lucky.

I may be alone but that's what I liked about Portland where the roommates had to break up Nia and Averey's fight.

no you're not. unless someone could possibly die, or they've been fighting too long i'd rather not see producers step in.. but i wonder why producers didnt for the nia/avery fight

I think Tya threw some hands at Kim and thats why she's on mute. Probably doesnt want her fans to know she got whooped!
Yuppppp ****
But giving her the benfit of the doubt, it could be possible that she's gonna do weekly YouTube videos like Nia did & that'll be her way of promoting.

***** can have several seats before she gets Iggy popped.
I fought people in my early twenties. It's not that far fetched. Especially when drinking.
