The black guys this season are absolutely gorgeous, but I'm still waiting for MTV to discover that other races apart from white and black exist. Will we EVER get an Asian guy or will is MTV so hard on reinforcing the stereotype that Asian men are not men? What about Native American, South Asian or Middle Eastern? I'm a white woman and I would like to see some **** diversity on these shows, I can't imagine how actual minorities must feel. I think Middle Eastern men are extremely attractive, and we rarely see them on tv.

I was thinking about this too! Sometimes they'll throw in the mix a token asian girl, but asian guys are nowhere to be seen as if they were so unappealing they don't even deserve to appear on the show, like c'mon. Then some Puerto-ricans pop up here and there, but that's it. Up until Asaf, there had never been anyone from Middle East. I think Francesca was probably half-Philippine, or something.

ABSOLUTELY ! Even as a young black man, it ****** me off a lil' bit. I want to see some Arabs, Samoan (who are also utterly gorgeous), Pakistanis/Indian, Asian men (who are very diverse too) way more. Even Latinos are barely casted. I would feel very excluded if I was an Asian man. I mean they don't have any representation at all; and not only on real-tv but nowhere else either. As if they don't exist. I don't know what vendetta White men has against Asian men, but it's quite sad.
I can tell you right now Asian men likely don't give two shits lmaoooo. They look at it as they're not apart of the chaos & foolishness, embarrassing themselves and their family. They're all about getting money; whether it's through a business or a high-paying job. They couldn't care less about their representation on these tragic shows (which honestly just showcases how dumb & unaware Americans really are).
I havent seen any episodes so idk what they're fighting about. But I peeped a clip on youtube of Julia from season 4 going off on Hannah at the aftershow. Btw Hannah has a weird shaped head imo.
I'm still amazed Gianna and Hayden haven't been sued yet. Between their IGs and tweets they are so **** obvious. There most recent IG posts are from the same coffee shop in Ohio lol
I agreed with the dark skinned girl aspect too. Beyonce is evident of this (which is why I don't **** with her or her delusional fans) too like all they want these days (such a **** shame too because the darker the berry, the sweeter the juices) is lightskin girl but I remember my day care supervisor saying that all that meant w***omewhere down the line a relative was white. That and many ****** out here want a lightskin chick to make their ***** (look) big. Tyranny is alright but she got them crazy *** eyes that Jason came for Sylvia for.
Danish Edward does have a nice *** but unlike Jaylan football head *** he at the very least washes it and I share your sentiment on eating it too. Bon appetit

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!! This reminds me of the Witty post where he was tripping on us for wanting asian representation (even though that was in terms of TRW but still.
Ryan malaty from season one was Egyptian (arab) I believe. And believe it or not, ayto does cast a lot of Hispanics, but Hispanic is not a race. They cast white-passing or just plain white Hispanics unless they're Puerto Rican like Dario and that other girl from season one (who wanted John). But I highly doubt Asian men are fighting themselves to be on this show lol
NO you got it all wrong. What I meant is generally darkskinned black girls on these shows don't receive as much attention as the other girls (generally white or mixed) and I wanted to point out is that, most of the time men on AYTO aren't genuinely interested in black girls especially the darkest ones. For instance, Tyler on AYTO2 was kinda left out by all the men in the house, and sadly that's what going on in real life since black girls are seen as less desirable. As of now, I felt the same thing with Tyranny. She didn't receive the same attention as Alicia, Gianna, or Kam received by the boys and it was basically the same thing with Tyler AYTO2.I didn't intended to being racist (it would be funny as a black man myself) or discriminating. I'm French so maybe what I write could be weird sometimes (because I picture my sentences in French first before typing them in English) but I didn't meant to be hurtful. What I wanted to point out, is that basically darkskinned girls are still being ridiculed on real-tv shows either by being portrayed as ghetto or either by being portrayed as less desirable and this what I felt when nobody picked Tyranny on the ceremony.
I totally got what you meant. I thought I was the only one that noticed. I'm black myself so I always notice how mtv casts black people on their shows, not just ayto but all reality shows. From season one, simone was the loud, aggressive, argumentative one. Whenever they cast a black girl that's soft and feminine, she's usually biracial or of lighter complexion. If she's darker, however, she usually exhibits negative stereotypes of black girls like Nia and Ceejai from the real world. (with an exception to chelsea from season 3 of ayto). It's SO obvious mtv does this on purpose.
For the girls they cast the light skinned, biracial girl that's usually really "white washed" or the regular black girl with an attitude that nobody wants. As for the guys, they usually cast black men of darker complexion that are overly sexual with a high appetite for white women, or they cast the biracial guy that often comes across like the token in his fraternity. From season one up to now, it never fails.
Another thing I noticed is how the black cast members are always in the shadows, never part of the main storyline unless exhibiting bad behavior or tied to a popular white cast member. From season one, only Simone is memorable for her bad behavior. Season two, nobody comes to mind, I just remember how garland played tyler for no reason whatsoever. She was one of the prettiest in the house but overlooked cause she was black. They cant even say it was cause of her attitude cause that dark haired chic that was obsessed with Leighton had the worst attitude of them all and a bunch of the guys still wanted her. Season 3 only Cheyenne comes to mind cause she was involved with a lot of the guys, but not that any of them were ever the main focus of the storyline. Season 4 kaylen (biracial) was remembered for her tumultuous relationship with gio. Camille was gorgeous but given no storyline. Can't remember the rest of them. It was the Julia show anyway *rolls eyes.* and as this season gets rolling I doubt things will be much different. But they've got three black girls and three black guys this time around so maybe things will be different? But I'm not holding my breath.
I watched some of Morgan (season 4) and Mike's (season 3) periscope about this season and about the Julia/Stephen situation. They basically just read the cast bios on mtv.com and just trolled the entire cast so it was actually kind of funny because I like Morgan but at the end they rated all the girls based on their picture online. Completely demeaning I know, but I was a little curious to see their thoughts.
Anyways, they gave Hannah a 5, Kathryn a low 6 yet gave Shannon somewhere in the mid 7's which I thought was crazy. Of course they thought the prettiest girl was Taylor but still only gave her an 8. ****** move but entertaining nonetheless.
It really wasn't the Julia Show, if anything it was the Kaylen Show with Julia having her secondary storyline with all the guys obsessing over her. Kaylen and Gio were featured in that season heavily. ☕

You're right, I totally forgot about Ryan. I know lots of fans hate him, but he was actually one of my favorites, I would love to see him on the Challenge. I know there's lots of Hispanics, but, as you said, that's not a race. And I realize Asian man may not wait in line to be on the show, but why doesn't MTV cast more outside of the box? It's not like they can only get people who already apply, most of these castmembers are recruited anyway. AYTO actually isn't half bad diversity-wise, but The Real World is just lazy. 32 seasons and not one Asian male? Not one? It looks like they're doing it on purpose.
I don't think the lack of Asian men is due to the fact they don't apply enough, but more because they don't fit to a certain stereotype. For instance, a stereotypical cast from a real-tv show is consisted of :- a blonde (dumb, pretty, innocent like Jenna or Madison) - a black dude (often muscular, very masculine, confident and oversexualized)- a gay man (often feminine, arrogant or *****y like Frank S.)- a republican straight white male (often good-looking but terribly vile like Tyler W. or Zach)- the odd one (either geek or more everyday people looking like Chet or Mitch), the Italian stallion (like Mike AYTO3&5, Jay G.),- hot-headed Latinos (especially Latinas who are portrayed as feisty, loud, overdramatic such as Nany, Nicole Ramos, Camila; Latinos are often handsome but terribly arrogant, highly temperamental and rather stupid such as Gio or Dario)- Bunch of pretty young emotional girls (often White and highly insecure who usually tend to sleep with the popular men of the show or create a showmance in order to gain self-acceptance)- Black girls (often physically lean but terribly ghetto, illiterate, loud, weavyholics)- a lesbian (often butch looking or pretty masculine such as Nicole Z. or Sam)
While we can't apply a defined character to an Asian man; which role he would play specifically to his race ? Asian men don't have any stereotype other than being "feminine", "submissive" or "highly intelligent" and we can find that in White men already. Reality tv shows works like that sadly most of the time; they play on popular stereotypes to make people watch and Asian men don't have a particular one pretty specific to them to being portrayed on popular tv-shows. I mean look at Love & Hip-Hop, Bad Girls Club or Flavor of Love. All these shows have or had huge ratings because of the ratchetness of it, while if they were intellectuals, nobody would watch the show not even Black people. Black women get exploited to make a fool of themselves on national tv and people love that (including me sadly). Asian men don't catch the interest of people real-tv lovers, and I personally think that's the reason why they are never casted.

There was a male finalist this season that was Asian )Atleast mixed). Based on social networks he was Brandon tinsel 2.0. So thank God he didn't make it in my opinion.

Shannon and Osvaldo especially. At least Kari went on the date this week. Shannon barley even gets interview time,.
Hannah is a snake. Julia is amazing ❤
Taylor and Carolina are gorgeous. That is all.

Hannah and Shannon (I think she says she was half Philippine) are half Asian too, if I am not wrong.
For some reason I don't see a lot Asian Males trying out for trashy reality tv show like real world and this.
