When I saw this show and the format I imagined myself going on it and immediately got into the mindset of winning 50k.. not 100k. They OBVIOUSLY have to buy things to survive. You can't just make it 40 days and have to do all that traveling from camp to camp w/ no machete or pack up tent or anything. I fully agree with the majority alliance for buying the necessity items, and the pizza to boost moral.
The guy with the black hair in the minority is a ***** and will quit any episode now. I could tell he regrets aligning w/ the one try hard wannabe Spencer Pratt because he aliented himself and now he's on the outs. And that one wannabe Camila having a melt down in the river was HILARIOUS. I get her being upset that she wasn't included.. but ***** go tell somebody then. Don't go cry. No one even understood why she was mad and then she had the nerve to want to go sleep in the tent after she segregated herself from them all day. It is everyone's money and I do think they should trade but obvious the people who voted yes will get first dibs. If you don't want the **** tent then don't beg to use it right away.
I have a feeling people will root for the minority for being underdogs just like Cory/Jenna/Kailah on the challenge, but **** them imo. The minority alliance is entertaining on Stranded but i'm not with them either. lol @ all the quits and it's so obvious that Asian girl will quit soon as well as the black hair construction worker. **** 5 people in a few episodes..

when you still have a guaranteed 100k... it's worth it. 3 ppl have left, so thats 300k extra that they can add to their end prizes or spend (either way they still have 100k). Now if they get to the point where they actually start losing what they were originally going to get (10 people = 100k), that's when I would find it would be wasting money. It's one of those situations that literally you can't judge unless you are in that position. I know i'd be all for spending 5k on pizza if all I ate for one week was coconut. easily.

I agree that they needed a machete and a backpack, and maybe the fire starter. The tent is only going to start drama. They should concentrate in building decent shelters, which they can do now that they have a machete. Come on, they bought a tent that fits 2 people, they'll still need a shelter...
The pizza imo is totally unnecessary, if you're hungry, you won't "cure" (for lack of better word) it with a slice, in fact it'll make it worse. And if you need it for mental reasons, you most probably won't make it 40 days.
But do you know how much energy they spend building a shelter they are only going to use for 4 days? It's just a waste of energy that could potentially make them sick and quit the game. The energy they will spend fighting over it will be way more taxing than building a shelter. I know that in "The Island with Bear Grills" they are helped by production, but still. They build a shelter, I'll give you that they only have to do it once, and keep improving it day after day, they walk long distances to get food, etc.
Geting a tent just seemed lazy considering they signed up for a "survival" show... Also, the only reason production gave them the tent for 2 people was to start drama and make more people quit because they're not mentally strong enough. Adding to that the excuse that they won't get sick because they won't sleep wet (which is bs because the floor will still be wet and that tent won't stop them from sleeping over wet material), kinda led me to believe that they did it to annoy other people.
