Were the champs paired with pros so male/female teams 1 pro 1 champ? Did the pros do actual eliminations or were the champs doing the elimination rounds and representing whoever they were paired with?
This show is getting a ton of coverage especially because of CM Punk. Rolling Stone just released an article about it. Hopefully it translate to ratings which then translate to good ratings for the challenge.

I think the shows slowly been gaining a lot of new viewers, especially with all of the publicity from sites such as Barstool and Bill Simmons podcasts. I hope the athletes on the show help it grow even more overall.

I think MTV is realizing this too making The Challenge a more prominent/flagship show for the channel compared to being just another show they air. You can definitely tell the emphasis they are putting on The Challenge as a brand (promo, music, spinoffs, whatever Ashley,Laurel,Shane and Zach are filming, etc)
IT all depends on how MTV is able to give promo to it themselves. A good cast and good coverage is only one thing, they need to promote way better with their reality tv products. They did a poor job with RW/AYTO/SC and Invasion (before the champions came). Do promos in other channels or have the celebs do interview and hype up the Challenge in general.

I hope this goes good in ratings. It's a great idea on paper so hopefully it translate well unlike how the AYTO spinoff turned out.

Unfortunatly not for me. It's the same with the Spring Break Challenge and Exiled. It's a special and not part of the real challenge.
