I agree with almost all of this. I liked fresh meat just because of the Kenny vs Wes alliances and Noor haha.

You can like BOTS all you want--the truth is it almost got the show cancelled and is why we've seen Bananas constantly since then. I enjoyed the lack of regulars (other than Sarah & Wes) but it was poorly cast mainly because of prior casting decisions that were poor. The Exes final wasn't bad but the season as a whole wasn't great. It was essentially John working with Mark to pick off every other team other than Diem because Diem is off-limits. LOL @ Rivals 2 having the best cast--wow...just wow. Exes 2 had zero competition--absolutely none. Bloodlines was useless because of the set up--it was just who was better at throwing comps. I find it very hard to believe Rivals 3 was good at any point given it was set up for John-Sarah from the day we saw the scast. Invasion had great eliminations (on the champs side) and Shane did what he could to save the bad set up--not great but better than a lot of the other recent seasons. At least we didn't know the winners going in for once.

To be honest there's not much to see before that. The older shows were lame. Half hour shows with basic challenges. Plus the casts always lacked... "diversity"
If you find it boring by todays reality tv standards thats fair because the formula has changed alot, but you are dead wrong to say they are less diverse. The majority of the Battle of the Sexes cast were minorities, 10 AA, 4 Asian, 2 Latino, 4 LGBT and Antoine was foreign. They also had different personalities and backstories as opposed the stock modern archtype of ******** and their enablers both with rage and drinking issues.

also they casted pretty much anyone from the Real World and road rules and changed up the lineup every season. Not like today where they use the same 10+ regulars every challenge.

I think because 8 people have gone home already this season doesn't feel like it's been dragging although there has only been 2 eliminations.

I think its been pretty good. Could be better (cast & how the twists are implemented), but good so far.
