Illinois, but I think he's originally from West Virgina or lived there at some point at least.
I honestly believe its the other way around...originally from Chicago area moved to WV...went to WVU (or may still be as he said he was back in school before dirty 30 during his interview with susie). I'm 99% sure he lives in WV now he always post WVU game things with his son every weekend on insta.
**** he's so terrible at puzzles. Even Kenny was a little more competent at them.
Kenny was always secretly not horrible at puzzles. Wes even admitted that in the Rivals final that Kenny did all of the puzzles for them and Susie actually said that she and Kenny solved the puzzle on Ruins but Evan took the credit. It's usually just the math ones that get him...dude majored in art though so it makes sense.
I was rooting for Derrick all season this season and he's a guy that will probably be one of the most athletic guys on any given show but the final proved that he can't be the lead guy in a final just because his critical thinking and problem solving skills (at least in terms of the challenge) are terrible. He needs an Evan, or a Kenny or a Johnny or an Abe with him where they can point him in a direction and he can just be an athlete. Neither Cara nor Camila are good enough leaders to be able to do that. Jenn might have been able to on Cutthroat if he had made it.

I would have lived for a Jenn/Emily/Derrick Cutthroat final : ( Blue team had that
Welp. After this season I don't think there's any need for him to return. We got a new Derrick in Hunter and aside from him being a good competitior he doesn't add anything else to the show. Just not all that important anymore.
I was happy seeing him back, he didn't do much on the drama but he was an excellent competitor and got Nelson to look like the tool he is and off the show, so D did well in my book

This man annoys me, I tried to listen to his podcast with Darrell because someone mentioned he discussed Piggys dismissal, but all this man kept doing was interrupting him and talking bout how they should do an allies challenge and how much drama it would be cause the partners would be like family...ugh! Shut up....
Derrick talks all the time about ...nothing...it is so beyond mind numbingly annoying. You're wack, you're Polish, you wanna be like oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah Im here Im here Im here.
Derrick is obviously a great competitor, but he is cringeworthy on his podcast.
There is usually some type of chemistry with podcast co-hosts, but its really bad. Scott talks already enough as it is, but Derrick can take a convo and turn it completely 180 and just continue to ramble.

Crying at the reference. But yeah, he can be INSUFFERABLE on his podcast. The guest will be on the verge of discussing something actually interesting and something we wanna know, and he'll just cut them off and start talking about... what? Literally nothing.
Did Darrell say what happened to Piggy? Or was he cut off? I would have loved to know.
I also enjoyed D taking out Bananas in Dirty 30.
I heard a Coral podcast a few years ago where Coral was VERY candid about Piggy on the Inferno lol she basically confirmed she was heavily on drugs to the point where she was not able to function and they had no choice but to kick her off

yikes. Susie recently (maybe like six month ago) in passing on the podcast said she had talked to her randomly out of nowhere. I would love her to do an interview with her. Def hope she found some help. I loved Piggy on Battle of the Seasons.

totally agree with a guest about to spill tea and Derrick interrupts to add nothing! He is also very worried about ******* off "challenge gods" and does t like it when cast talk about behind the scenes stuff much. Which is the reason people listen to the pod!

yea it was hilarious but a bit sad for him to straight up tell Cara she was on her own. He still is Daddy Derrick tho

He can still **** me plus he looks like he can do a very good blowy job.
Good bump

Like he's a textbook Leo...EVERYTHING ABOUT ANYBODY HE WILL TURN INTO A STORY ABOUT HIMSELF and boyyyyy, I don't have the time nor the interest.
