Back when I didn't mind TBC episodes because they made it a priority to utilize only a few times and in mostly all cases they were in good times of epic matchups and suspense.

I'll never understand why people loved Exes 2. The first 6 eliminations were pointless aside from Wes taking a shot at Johnny/Nany because Leroy/Nia can't swim. The casting was poor. The exes were stretches. It was basically FM2 Wes (Wes) vs. John (Kenny) with Sarah (Jenn) running things from the middle. The only difference was Sarah took an opportunity to flip the game at the end when Jenn didn't have the shot. Nany vs. Theresa was decent TV. The missions were solid. The Exile games were laughable. The eliminations were at least typically good (He Said/She Said, Breaking Up & Stacking UP were not).

1. Old school seasons had more gameplay generally speaking and less BS drama. The competitions/missions/eliminations are usually better now. Though I still wish they'd bring back Dead Man's Drop which was primarily about want.
2. Susie? Inferno 3 was the worst Inferno season and Gauntlet 2 was probably the worst gauntlet season although 3 was also bad. Susie's great at the game but she wasn't really on any of my favorite seasons. It's just sad you still can't admit she was great.
3. Last "great" season...that's a tough one. I'd probably say Rivals or Exes though. Seasons had so much potential--they cast just needed to be a little stronger. Rivals 2 was crap. Free Agents had potential if they would have had everyone that didn't win available to be voted in and also part of the draw. Exes 2 needed a better cast. Bloodlines was awful. I boycotted Rivals 3 so... Champions was actually decent but they shouldn't have separated the champs/challengers. XXX was decent. Vendettas was awful. FR was meh. So, I'm tempted to say Cutthroat but I'll roll with Exes.
For the record--there were awful seasons during the golden era. The Island, G2, G3, I3 and Sexes 2 solely because it wasn't fair.

The final on G2 killed it for me as did the fact most people had a free ride. That cast was really good although way too many Xtreme girls and when you have to beg Jo to show up there's a problem. I mean, the veterans finalists were Aneesa, Robin, Katie, Julie, Timmy, Mark & David Burns. That might be the craziest final team ever. There were great moments (Cara laughing at Danny Dias (RIP), Susie/Cara vs Xtreme girls, Derrick vs David, Beth vs her team, Katie getting a free ride (lol)) but the final was so very bad. And I didn't say i didn't like it. I said it wasn't a great season.
Exes 1 really wasn't bad aside from John & Camila winning. If CT/Diem or even Emily/Ty win that season people wouldn't hate it nearly as much.
I loved Exes 1 and 2. Kinda my favorite seasons tbh. That whole Cutthroat to Exes 2 era was actually very good! Solid casting. No super repetitive cast. Interesting challenges. The eliminations were kinda hit or miss. Good drama and politics for the most part. Final challenges were actually enjoyable to watch. Formats were repetitive but simple and straight to the point. No crazy twist either.
Bloodlines 2 had potential but they tried it but it was tolerable. Rivals 3 to now ALL GARBAGE!!! Periodt.

i find myself having a hate love with your posts. i dont always agree but always solid with your thoughts. any season thats great that ends with bananas winning ends up in a "good" category to me but thats extreme bias for my dislike for him.

Tbh Theresa is extremely underrated both as a character and as a competitor. She was easily up there among the best. Cara-tier imo, just below elite.
