Even the newbies have talked about how the past of the show is impacting their game. The new faces are great but you guys try to create something about the ratings that don't exist. We need a season without John, Cara & CT to see if it would matter in terms or ratings. We also need that (plus no Zach/Jenn/Tony) for our own sanity. But we won't be that lucky any time soon IMO.

You're acting like Kyle-Paulie-Cara & Jenna/Zach aren't the main storylines
I'll take the Kyle/Paulie/CM and Zach/Jenna storylines over Backpack doing or saying ANYTHING and CT just being there at all. And keep in mind out of the 5 people I just mentioned I hate 2 of them and think 1of them is just all around useless.
If these people had such a big impact in ratings why every show that they have done outside of the challenge flops in ratings (Ct wedding, game of clones, etc) or there is little to none change as far as the rating goes (Bananas show). Even the Champs vs____ Franchise never did that well with all those people.
The day I see the ratings go down by half after someone elimination is the day I will believed someone had a big impact for ratings. Which until this day it hasnt happenned.

Cara just became the female face because Camilla is banned. Nany maybe? none of the female rookies is suitable. Amanda will always have the villain role. Mattie is too strong , see Laurel
For bananas it is even worse. They tried it with cory and it failed. Turbo is popular but not suitable for this role .
New personalities is not the same as being the face of the franchise. You need the casual fans as well, who only know bananas.
The Central question is....what if we have season without a supervet like CT, Wes, Bananas or Cara....would it drop or not?

Ratings won't crash by half in the middle of the season but PRODUCTION NOT ME clearly believes they need John Cara CT as the face. We'll see if they take the risk. I hope they do but I doubt it.

I don't disagree but PRODUCTION apparently does. There's only one way to find out and we'll see if that ever happens. I'm guessing we see John & Cara on 34 and CT returns for his "comeback story v 2.0" on 35.
John's just as irrelevent as the rest of the americans on this show, he has fans but nobodies tuning in just for him or turning the tv off when he's gone. The only ones who have serious fanbases are some of the UK people and Turbo, so hopefully some of their fans tune in when it airs there

There most “popular” one is Bear and with those 1.7 million followers he’s averaging as much engagement on social media as some of the more popular younger US challengers like Jenna and Cory?
