As much as what dan did was inappropriate, imo I don't think it came across as any malicious intent behind it. I think that's just how he is as a person and it can come across as bad. It's all about perception. Him acting that way towards one person could be a complete 180 reaction from another person. Kelle 100% has a right to feel the way she did and needs to be respected. But I do get where Dan is coming from because he's being made out to be some sexual predator and again, imo he doesn't come across like that. But for majority of the tribe to use kelles concerns as a weapon to further their own games is what disgusts me the most. Missy and Elizabeth used a serious accusation and turned it into a joking manner to save themselves and then shit on Janet for protecting Kelle.
I was really pissed that they would use that as a game tool. So many women aren't believed because of what these women did. No matter what Dan's intent is, when a man is told by a woman that him touching them makes them uncomfortable, they should not continue to do it. Missy was uncomfortable as well, but Elizabeth was not. I put the majority of blame on her. It is not okay to fake being uncomfortable with a man touching you for a game tool. It puts real victims in question and puts the gentleman in question. Just wrong!
Everyone involved have issued a public apology and owned up to what they did(except Dan as far as I know). They all seem very sincere and have taken full responsibilities on their part..now it's just about learning from their mistakes and growing.
But I must say, this is more than what we got from the BB21 bigots..
But im happy that the editors chose to actually show the true story. In the past, I feel like they would have just edited it weird and not shown such controversial things. That's the interesting thing about survivor is that putting 20 people on an island can cause literally anything to happen.
Not that it would do anything nor would I bend over backwards to accept him with open arms but I’m curious is he ever going to acknowledge this situation

RIP LEGEND KELLEE
SECOND CHANCES 2 WINNER
Love her but i feel like she'll still be a pretty big threat on SC, both for being one of the smartest people there and here Idol finding abilities. Bigger names like Devens, Don and Chrissy might shield her early on but she's probably gonna be early merge boot again
So Aaron, Missy, Laurel and Elizabeth all released statements. I think they were sincere. At the same time, I just can't root for them. Jamal was absolutely awesome calling out Aaron and the gang at tribal. He and Janet were the heros.

Tommy, Kellee, Karishma, Jamal, Janet, and Molly also all addressed the episode and incident.

I think it was good that an important topic in today's society was discussed at length. That said, it was a cringe-fest. Dan should have been tossed by production for inappropriate touching, end of story. There didn't need to be anything beyond that point.
On a side note, I love how almost every week someone gets an immunity idol and celebrates like they've just won the game - to be summarily sent home. They always seem to forget the using part of the idol is more important than the finding part.

Yea with everything going on this isn't discussed enough... Having two idols.. why not waste one? It's the merge, you know you're a big player in the game.. why not use it and you still have a backup..
Also her play last week was completely thrown back in her face because Noura and Dean threw her all the way under the bus instantly..
I wonder if Dan makes the final because there is a reason why they brought this up so many times.. they could've buried it but now I'm starting to think he makes it to the end and the finale is going to touch on this so they wanted to shine the light on it early. And after that tribal, he became the ultimate goat.
I also wonder if the cast knew about this edit prior.. maybe they watched it or were warned by production.
They made Varner go to therapy after GC and he was warned that it was gonna be pretty bad for him, I think Dan definitely got warned but maybe not the girls
varner was more remourseful than dan... or atleast he knew what he did was wrong...

THIS. even if you didn't see it, it doesn't mean it didnt happen

Yeah merge is the best time to waste one since you never know who's really gonna vote with who. After that, you know you're in the numbers and don't need to play the other yet or you know you're at the bottom and may need the next one soon
It was definitely a bad play on her part, just as I felt saving Dean just to save him and use an idol was unnecessary. Of course she couldn’t know she would instantly be screwed but I didn’t love the Dean play. Even if he didn’t vote her out she loses tho.

This is what I was the most shocked about. Two idols? That's huge for this game! But even Kellee said herself she was doubting her safety at one point in the episode. So her not playing one of them blew my mind. Just imagine how different the next tribal could have been.
Aaron released a pretty good apology on his Twitter

This is gross
It's pretty sad when Aaron is the only one to issue an apology so far when Missy, Elizabeth and Lauren should be the ones apologizing
is this from last nights episode I can't remember
Lauren said last night she would release a statement today. The other two have been mute.
Missy and Lauren have posted their apologies on twitter. Nothing from Elizabeth yet.
Honestly I'm just gonna blame production and move forward tbh since this was such a great season premerge.
They should have sent dan home as soon as this became an issue instead of giving him multiple warnings

idk..this episode wasn't very enjoyable.

So is creepy Dan going to act like none of this exists where is his statement
Not that it would do anything nor would I bend over backwards to accept him with open arms but I’m curious is he ever going to acknowledge this situation

He's one of those boys who did nothing wrong in his mind.

So Dan really is the only one to stay quiet....

The only negatives with an idol play if everyone is with you is you show you don’t fully trust them and it shows you had an idol and told no one.
