The UK had to carry 25 pounds per person and only had 1 person to rotate in, while the USA had to carry 35 pounds per person and had 3 people to rotate in. I really don't see how that's not a fair equalizer so they need to stop complaining.

Side note, CT gave me anxiety when he popped that cork....

Agree with her on all points but I’m tired of hearing the extra weight argument. It was 20 pounds per player, so 40 pounds total. That’s 10 extra pounds per person carrying the gurney, and they had more people to rotate in to carry the weight while the other team didn’t, that’s why they did it. They need to stop using that excuse and just take the L.

60 total right? So 15 extra per person.

I still agree and don't buy the extra weight being that much harder argument. Maybe the extra weight might have caused their gurney to break down, but honestly that could of been due to poor handling/balancing of it, and most likely from them consitatily dropping it as a result of Paulie not being able to handle it anymore.

It was 20 pounds per person. USA had 7, UK had 5. So 40 pounds extra which really isn't that much and they need to stop that excuse.

The purge was BS though I agree with that

Yeah I can't count, for some reason was counting 4 members for brits.

Lol i haven't been near one since what happened to Theo

I think it was a pretty fair equalizer, but I do agree with Kam's point that there didn't need to be an equalizer at all because they emphasized keeping players to the end. Why do that if it wasn't to help at the end?

To her, the US team earned being able to have an advantage for the final by winning so many more competitions and keeping more of their players.

Like in previous team challenges where there are different numbers of players on the teams, there's hasn't been an attempt to equalize the final.

Now, I don't actually think it would have changed the result but I get that perspective. Team US still lost.

Editing to add: I didn't take it as complaining either - just explaining why she felt it was a trick to keep team members the whole time.

It's kind of a catch 22. We always complain about advantages and it not being fair so I actually was happy to see a fair equalizer. I think it was a good call by production for once. And anyway Day 1 barely mattered, so they really shouldn't be complaining about that because production pulled a Rivals 1 and made day 1 essentially not matter and then had a BS purge. If there was anything to be mad about its that lol we're just lucky that it didn't affect the results like it did on Rivals 1

Team USA can't complain when they had about an hours worth of penalties and only had to start day 2 5 minutes behind

The rules are all pretty arbitrary, at the end of the day.  Like Team UK absolutely dominated the first day and got... a 5 minute head start out of it.  The UK got a 10 minute penalty because the US team was trying to stop them from passing and CT bumped their gurney, but the US only got a 10 minute penalty for switching players while they carried AND taking bags off the gurney and carrying them.  If they'd have known that was the penalty, they probably could've gained more than 10 minutes just by ditching the gurney altogether and carrying bags all along.

I guess because I've never complained about fairness in team challenges, I found that odd but I can see if others have found that lacking in the past to be okay with it. I get it for pairs or individual finals where gender was an issue more than teams, though.

Cause yeah, if they pushed for the season was to keep your team together and then it ended up not being an advantage, I totally get being annoyed at that if I was Kam. She seemed much more frustrated about that than the puzzle purge.

But like I said, I don't think it would have changed the results for reasons you said. I mean, hypothetically, maybe Paulie doesn't gas out and/or Zach doesn't take a break so two girls carry at one time if the weight is lighter, and so the US team finishes first day 1 and so gets the 5 min head start day 2 (while not major it was still the only difference since the puzzle meant nothing) but I think the UK team was better at their pacing and everything anyway so I doubt it.

I think the extra weight was a fair equalizer, but the only switching at checkpoints kind of killed the a significant element of the advantage of their numbers.

If Zach wanted to take an early break, and Paulie started dieing out, they could of just swaped and it wouldnt have been a big issue. The fact that eventually they were switching midway, and at one point had 5 people carrying and still got nothing but a meaningless 10 minute penatly is still a joke.

I am so disappointed in that final. Yea team USA scrwed themselves quite a bit but ultimatly, the team that won the most chalelnes got punished for having a bigger team.

-Had to carry more weight

-Had to manage more people

-Lower bed to people ratio

-More time for each person to complete tasks at checkpoints

-Lost half your team before the last leg

-(before the cut) potentially less money per person

What is the freaking incentive to dominatin in the dailies? Why not just sabotage your team all season, cut anyone who isn't elite and go to the end with four or five really good people? I don't want people throwing challenges, not giving a ****, and just tossing their own team under trhe bus 24/7 because in the end it benefits them. It totally makes most of the season uncompetitive. How about we do a challenge where being a good team, and working together all season can actually reap huge rewards? How about a sesaon where having a variety of key players could be a big positive?

All that said, CT, Jordan, and Dee all put in some seriosu work. Rogan stepped up too even though he was suspect all season.

Remember that USA did purposely make their own team weaker along the way though. If USA had just not thrown in Jordan & Tori when they didn't have to(knowing both would probably switch) then team UK would only have had three people for that final(maybe four if Georgia had ended up staying), and not had two very reliable competitors in Jordan & Tori.

Yea USA did do a lot of damage to themselves but it's bull **** that you get disadvatnages for winning and coming into the final with a bigger team. I tjust means the smart way to play is to screw your own team and trim as much fat as possible which to me is stupid because there is realy no point to the team then and trying to compete most of the time.

I guess it's impossible to tell what the final will be so you can't really base your team on that either way. Look at Inferno 1 where RW had trimmed their fat and were left with a team of All Stars (CT, Miz, Coral & Syrus) but having a ton of people really helped RR with the crossword which got them the win. Then in Inferno 2 the Good Guys had their own team of Stars (Miz, Landon, Darrell & Jamie) and the bigger Bad *** team just couldn't keep up

They had to throw in Jordan/Tori though to stay in-line with their alliance. I mean, give them credit for sticking to their word the whole time to take care of each other (outside the one instance where Ash voted for Ninja and Rogan wanted to throw in Dee).

And again, the Bananas/Jordan/Laurel/Tori side of the team started it by throwing in Wes who also would have been a strong person to have in a final.

For the record again, Kam wasn't really complaining for the sake of complaining - she was just telling us her perspective on why her alliance played how they did and why they thought it would be beneficial in the final. And her points were valid, even if in the end the truth is her team just lost so that's that.

Agreed with all this.

They threw in both Tori & Jordan before they threw in Josh & Nany, which is absolutely ridiculous competition wise, especially knowing that Tori would probably go to the UK and that Jordan for sure would. The whole numbers thing is great if you want to walk to a final but clearly didn't work out for a lot of people. Most notably Joss who could have done the purge with Jenny or Georgia and probably wins the season, and Leroy who could have trimmed Ninja & Cara off his team and kept Jordan & Tori, possibly gaining someone like Theo and/or Georgia.

Agree with Kam's points too where they were going off what they were told, but if team USA was going to bring as many players as possible those players could have been the likes of her, Leroy, Ashley, Zach, Jordan, Tori, Laurel, Wes & Bananas. They chose to let CM & Ninja walk to the final and they basically ended up just hurting the team by making them carry 20lbs extra each and not being able to eat and do math.

Lee wasn't throwing in Nany regardless. Numbers were even between the sides without Leeroy, so they had to do that as Lee was protecting Nany. Jordan made no sense at all though, especially since Tori already went over to Brits at that time and Jordan seems 100x more likely the type to switch teams  than her and even suggested he would do so before even being voting in.

That final sucked. Day one was pretty much pointless

US winning challenges and keeping most of their team was a disadvantage and therefor pointless

That purge was not needed.

Leroy, Kam and Ashley were robbed they literally did all that work on day 1 for nothing

the rules sucked

I guess they feel that Cara and Ninja have both shown to be strong players based on the past seasons and felt confident that they would do well in the final having them. Nobody would've thought majority of the final was based on carrying some heavy bags on a gurney that 2 girls being too short couldn't do lol.

Yeah, I wasn't surprised about Nany being kept because of Leroy and Paulie was still trying to bring Josh back into the fold for a bit as well.

As for Jordan, that was mostly personaly - the girls in that alliance just didn't like him. It's like when Jordan was rating girls on Free Agents ranked them mostly by who he wanted to work with rather than who might have been a bit better.

Oddly Cara was the only one that wanted to vote Josh out first and keep Jordan at least for a little longer - though that might have been because Josh had annoyed her the most up until then.

Yeah, I don't know why anyone expected Kam or Leroy or Ashley to think Cara and Ninja would do poorly in a final since neither had to that point.

Cara gets flustered and is overrated but she also had won twice and beaten Tori in another final. Ninja is a little more iffy but she did just do well in one of the hardest and longest finals in the show's history. There was no reason for anyone else in their alliance to doubt bringing them to the final.

The height thing is what I thought was most poorly thought up about the final, honestly. If it had just been the players having to carry the bags and having extra weight each, I think they would have been better at it. It was the gurney that was an issue - shorter people will always have more force / pressure on them due to weight distribution. That's just physics.

I mean, if there is one thing Cara has done well the last like 10 or so challenges (pretty much since she started doing crossfit), it's carry heavy shit for long distances (Bloodlines finals, the beach comp on Dirty 30, the junk comp on WOTW1, etc).

It's like I would never have guessed Ashley would have been purged in a puzzle. She was so exhaused she couldn't think, but it just shows that sometimes variables beyond just the individual will make someone do poorly in something that is usually a strength.

I do feel the final was poorly thought out. The US team dominated nearly every challenges this season just to be at a disadvantage in the final for having more people and short girls. It's like winning was pointless when they should had spend time losing and trim the fat instead lol

Stage 1 was basically pointless. It came down to an unnecessary purge and stage 2 which that part was kind of underwhelming. And I don't understand why they're timing out on puzzles.

Yeah, team format doesn't fit well for me. If it was well thought out that could change my view of it. But right now no lol

It was annoying because up until then I'd loved the drama of the team challenge.

And I understand why Kam would be more annoyed at the weight thing overall rather than the purge that actually took her out. That makes me respect Kam more, honestly - she was still more about the group winning as team than caring about her own knock out as an individual.

Wonder what the final would be like if USA stayed together and the final was like 9 or 10 Americans and 2-3 Brits
