The amount of hate I see you spewing in any given post about him is more then the total amount I've seen come from Derrick in any shape on any challenge or any of the hundreds of hours I've probably listened to on his podcast since 2013 (haven't seen his RR season, but even so, have heard him many times reflect on it and talk about how he was flawed back then and how he has changed). We have a difference in opinions on what constitutes a trash human being and that's okay boo. Imo, Kailah is not a trash human being. She appears to be a nice person with some edges. Cheating on a bf who you're having serious existing issues with and throwing a suitcase off a balcony for drama when producers told you to step it up does not constitute as trash for me, but rather typical yet unproblematic behavior for a reality tv star. Her behavior is not that deep in other words. If she didn't have those edges, she wouldn't be a good reality tv character.
The difference is that Derrick does not have those edges to actual make a compelling reality tv star. He got the "good guy" edit, yet all of his actions reflect the opposite. What constitutes as trash for me is someone who not only enables but actively defended and worked with people who had hateful, homophobic, misogyniststic, racist, etc tendancies. As for starting the Wes steroid rumors that was part of why I said the Duel was his low point yesterday. The Duel aftershow with Derrick was the first time any Wes-steroid talk was made public (to my knowledge). Wes' physique was suspect, but it was still a weak move, I do acknowledge that..... whether he actually started it is a different question. I'm SURE that was discussed by most of the guys that season, but I will give that claim some merrit, even if it was worded improperly.
Wes and Derrick are cool now. They have been in my top 10 forever and I've always been very aware or that relationship. I'm not the biggest Scott Yeager fan, but he did a great job mending that fence. The two are very friendly on and off air now. Wes is far from a perfect person himself, but regardless, we should be rewarding people for changes in their behavior, not demonizing them for their past. His attitude towards Wes was a (small) negative in my eyes for years though.
If you want to keep shooting I'll be here, I'm on spring break and while this is typically a tertiary forum for me, I have no problem coming here more for a bit to defend D. I love podcasts and have listened to almost every one he has released since Ultimate Challenge Radio, and even the short lived (thankfully) Derrick and Kenny podcast. I truly believe I 'know' Derrick better then any of you making these stupid claims with little to no base, and am willing to go toe to toe with you for the next few days if you really want.

At least Deeper understands, he was an enabler of JEK for years and he's fake as **** on his podcast when it came to Wes for years man was so but hurt he lost to Wes that he started the steroids rumor and then proceeded to be bitter for years about it. And like I said please hit me up when he wins without a team he never has he's so dumb him trying the puzzle on The Ruins actually hurt the team. He has no win equity in this harder era because he has one brain cell. He's overrated almost any other legend who's gottten a season without a team has won except for Derrick. We have a difference in opinions on what constitutes a trash human being and that's okay boo. Imo, Kailah is not a trash human being. She appears to be a nice person with some edges. Cheating on a bf who you're having serious existing issues with and throwing a suitcase off a balcony for drama when producers told you to step it up does not constitute as trash for me, but rather typical yet unproblematic behavior for a reality tv star. Her behavior is not that deep in other words. If she didn't have those edges, she wouldn't be a good reality tv character.
The difference is that Derrick does not have those edges to actual make a compelling reality tv star. He got the "good guy" edit, yet all of his actions reflect the opposite. What constitutes as trash for me is someone who not only enables but actively defended and worked with people who had hateful, homophobic, misogyniststic, racist, etc tendancies. I also just don't respect the fact that he has done absolutely nothing with his life outside of piggybacking his reputation on a reality show that wants nothing to do with him, and find it annoying that he actively lives in a world that does not want him. I understand it, I just don't respect it, but that's a whole other conversation. Also, he's just a stupid **** if we're being honest. Everything he says is grating and annoying yet painfully boring at the same time. Again, just personal preference there.

Who is quite clearly good friends with Derrick and defends him/ works with him.. so much that she has posted numerous photos with him on instagram. I mean come on, you make excuses for some people but not others. Evan & Kenny weren''t good people but Derrick should be defending them regarding Tonya. And Derrick was by far the closest person to Tonya in that house at that point in time.

As for starting the Wes steroid rumors that was part of why I said the Duel was his low point yesterday. The Duel aftershow with Derrick was the first time any Wes-steroid talk was made public (to my knowledge). Wes' physique was suspect, but it was still a weak move, I do acknowledge that..... whether he actually started it is a different question. I'm SURE that was discussed by most of the guys that season, but I will give that claim some merrit, even if it was worded improperly.
Wes and Derrick are cool now. They have been in my top 10 forever and I've always been very aware or that relationship. I'm not the biggest Scott Yeager fan, but he did a great job mending that fence. The two are very friendly on and off air now. Wes is far from a perfect person himself, but regardless, we should be rewarding people for changes in their behavior, not demonizing them for their past. His attitude towards Wes was a (small) negative in my eyes for years though.
If you want to keep shooting I'll be here, I'm on spring break and while this is typically a tertiary forum for me, I have no problem coming here more for a bit to defend D. I love podcasts and have listened to almost every one he has released since Ultimate Challenge Radio, and even the short lived (thankfully) Derrick and Kenny podcast. I truly believe I 'know' Derrick better then any of you making these stupid claims with little to no base, and am willing to go toe to toe with you for the next few days if you really want.
We all have moments and even periods of weakness in out lives, I'm not a fan of going at people hard in general but out of all the people in the challenge universe to throw horrible labels at, I genuinely feel that Derrick doesn't deserve it.
