contrary to popular belief kvm, people can do research and make educated decisions on their own bodies, without being "crazy"
a more credible comparison would be someone who is a skincare enthusiast doing research on ingredients, recommendations from credible sources, etc and making educated decisions to better their skin. are they now an esthetician? No, but it doesn't mean they don't have knowledge

I was a vegetarian for about 2.5 years and can literally send you tons of research done by doctors, health experts etc that show how a vegetarian/vegan diet can drop your risks of cancer, heart disease etc etc
there have also been multiple reported cases of people with terminal cancer switching to a vegan diet which made the cancer be able to actually be treated
