It's only gonna go further down when Survivor makes it return to Wednesday nights. If they were smart they move to Tuesday or Thursday nights but hey what do I know ? MTV clearly knows how to run a show

they won't **** with Thursdays cause they've already coined that day Jerzdays for the JS Vacation show -- Tuesday seemed kinda obvious although I kinda want the ratings to dip
Its the first time in a while that the challenge isn't number 1 in the demo (not counting sports) ont he night it airs. Ratings are lower than the past two seasons and it's the lowest rated episodes in 10 seasons.

Survivor is less competition than big brother in the sense that the fan base is older it doesn't have major effect on demo

Well that's true because BB fans watch the episodes during the challenge airings

Yeah but ratings have never be majorly affected by going against big brother it has done that on multiple season. The big issue is the introduction of so many people at once it's like 20 of them.

One day they'll learn their lesson before it's too late hopefully those numbers don't tank to the 500k level lmaoooo

But they would be like the viewers miss the skulls they always get the wrong message
These international " stars " aren't bringing anything number wise to the show. They need to go back to the basics and leave these people no one knows about at home. **** the only rookies I knew before filming were Tommy Michele and Michaela

I didn't even know those names! The ppl I knew were Kelz (boring on his og show) and Ed (he was like on 4 episodes on the circle).
I think it makes sense. The casuals don't like the fact that more than 25% of the cast is comprised of rookies and they are not invested in the Big Brother people whatsoever. I feel like they don't really care that much about changing the current format. They just hope the challenges are sufficiently competitive.

Girl I just know you be confused as **** when they tell you the names of these rookies that are on the season. I have a headache just thinking about it. Y'all have to go through social media pages just to find these random rookies. Y'all have my sympathy because I could never do it

I forgot that a lot of casuals are annoyed by the presence of international cast members.

I haven't watched recent seasons when they aired but binged Vendettas-War of the Worlds 2 this summer. (I couldn't finish Total Madness).
They introduced a ton of new cast those seasons. Davonne, Bear, Kayleigh, Georgia, Joss, Rogan, Turbo, Paulie, Theo, Dee, Ninja, Kam, Kailiah, Natalie etc and still had popular vets on those seasons as they were introduced. And just as the fans get used to all of those new castmembers, here were are just 2 years later and most of these newbies are totally AWOL and missing. For a variety of reasons. And now you introduce 20 more rookies with a much weaker veteran roster to anchor it. It's too much for the fans. They probably are burnt out and say why bother when there will be 20 new international rookies on the next one. I know it's hard for the "Challenge Gods" to accept but the fans watch for the cast, not their silly themes and torture. Lol "There has been a heist at headquarters, previous gems have been stolen:" Please!
I enjoyed the episode, but I understand why the season isn't doing so well so far. They need to let this be a wake up call and go back to the basics. But we all know they're not gonna do anything about it (:
I find it funny that Survivor fans complain about returning players but Challenge fans dislike new players.
What? Since when didn't Survivor fans like returning players? They tend to prefer all returnees or all new but it's not anti-returning at all.
And other than Fresh Meat this show was never about "new people"--it was about seeing RW/RR cast on a different format. Even AYTO, EOTB, BB or Survivor at least aren't randoms.
On a serious note the main problem for me is that the vets that keep coming back are some of those that I am over it's bad when my fav from the vet is CT and I don't even like him that much. Then the rookies are people I don't have a connection with I miss when I used to watch real world and even Ayto wanted to see someone do that transition.

Tell me about it at some point during the casting of the season I was told a power ranger actor getting a call ****ooo
The Tacha army was harassing me on twitter for days telling me that she was going to bring the rating to MTV....

I'm still not over 12 dates of Christmas lmaoo

Okay those ratings are not good. Really thought it would go up not down.

These are the **** problems IMO:
Time Slot with Big Brother
International people that no one knows about
The same vets over and over again
Cringey themes like "gems have been stolen"
MTV itself and what comes on before and after The Challenge airs ( Ridiclousness )
Not casting ppl who fans are really wanting to see and follow from their original shows
All this. Plus they edit out all the drama to keep the cheesy disney channel original spy movie vibes and no one wants to watch that.

I thought Cribs was on after it--was that only episode 1?
624k yikes.... Double agents which was not that long ago was always doing close to a million consistently.
Oh it's getting bad for mtv you love to see it !!!
