Hopefully next season is our next Invasion era with a fresh theme that doesnt involve spies, fresh casting, and good entertainment
Depends on what you need with fresh casting? Having More than 4 rookies again would be an issue.
I think they need to focus on bringing new vets surprises and building up some of the rookies from this season make fans root for them. I also think it's ridiculous that new episodes aren't put on paramount + the day after it airs
Now I'm interested to see what next season cast looks like bc no way they aren't switching things up...
They'll probably interpret as "we only need 3-4 new rookies"
That is part of the problem--see Bloodlines and Seasons
and see the rest of the "rookie heavy" seasons. I will give you Seasons 2 though
What other seaons had more rookies than vets? Fresh Meat and Fresh Meat 2 but they had Coral then Kenny/Wes. WOTW did but only until the purge, right? Rookie heavy is bad but rookie heavy with the same vet cast as the previous season is a disaster waiting to happen
We'll see how much they care about blacklash for social media stuff next season. I don't think Paulie comes back but wouldn't be shocked to see them pay people like Wes, John, Emily S, Laurel, Cara and Jordan very well. Maybe Zach too

i can agree with that. But rookie heavy doesn't necessarily mean they outnumber vets.
Production really thought they did something with bringing back EVERY vet from last season lol.
I'm honestly not surprised. It's a bad time of year and it's going up against more popular shows. I will say that I never understand when people stop watching because of too many rookies. All of the vets that people adore now used to be rookies. Same with casting pools. Everyone complained about AYTO? and then were mad when they stopped casting from that show. Nothing the producers do will ever appease the masses because people like to live in the past.
There's a way to mix old veterans with new veterans while also having a good mix of maybe 6-7 rookies. It's really not that hard. Which casual fan would want to watch a show about people they don't know about.

And Amanda was the only "non-returning vet" (I think) and no one outside this board really cared about her. These trilogy things made them even more convinced they had to use repetitive casting. It's a problem. They probably easily could used people like Cooke and Marlon

and them swapping out darrell of all people is the worst. it's people like him, veronica and theresa that bring back OG fans of the show. they need to keep bringing back old school players instead of people from 10 days of Christmas.
like really no one from all stars has been on the main show?? makes no sense
Hopefully next season is our next Invasion era with a fresh theme that doesnt involve spies, fresh casting, and good entertainment

Agreed, just seeing the love Michele, Kelz, Michaela, Ed, Corey, Esther have gotten so far....build them up

I don't have a problem with internationals being put on but having so many on the same season is the issue. They did it right on Vendettas when it was just Joss Rogan Kayleigh and Melissa
Four international rookies with experience in reality tv and they all were easy to introduce to the audience. So simple yet so effective
How easy it could be for MTV
im telling yall everything wrong with the show now is because of the praise wotw got, which is crazy because it had the same ratings with final reckoning
i also just dont think devin is a great regular. he's a great side guy who stirs the pot, but just doesn't have the fanbase of a wes or whoever they are trying to market him as the next "mastermind".
Yeah next season is gonna get shaken up a lot which is probably for the best as long as they don't bring back skulls.
Bring back the rookies who fans have shown interest in (so far Michaela, Kelz, Tacha, Michele, Corey, Esther, Ed, maybe Berna, Emmanuel, Emy, Logan) and let them develop instead of throwing them away like they did last seasons rookies.
More returning vets, Amanda was the only one this season, it's just not enough especially considering even casuals are tired of most of the vets and constantly talking shit on BB, Tori, Aneesa, Nany, probably a couple others I'm forgetting. Literally remove every explosion, nobody cares and they're just wasting money, and do their best to bring back the people who've shown they'll mix things up and not ride some vet clique like the last couple seasons. These people should not all like each other
Drop the shitty movie themes, the Mad Max thing worked in WOTW because it was never shoved down our throats and they weren't renaming words with dumb spy words. Just do it back to basics like Rivals, Exes, whatever the **** other easy *** themes there are. **** it's a good time to do a gauntlet type theme with rookies + 1 season players against the vets, as long as those vets are mixed up from this season.
i 100% believe this isnt a product problem. double agents was a complete snoozefest and the ratings were good
Hopefully next season is our next Invasion era with a fresh theme that doesnt involve spies, fresh casting, and good entertainment

that would require them to pull from mtv shows and theyre not doiing that
Bloodlines premiere is the second least with only 20k more lol
That one was number 88 atleast this one is still number 5 on cable

bad time of the year?? huh? EXCUSES

if they did an all vet season I guarantee the hype/ratings would be solid.
The point of the Challenge is it's like an All Stars Survivor/BB season every season and they've moved totally away from that.
And Amanda was the only "non-returning vet" (I think) and no one outside this board really cared about her. These trilogy things made them even more convinced they had to use repetitive casting. It's a problem. They probably easily could used people like Cooke and Marlon

I blame the low ratings on tori
I do think one of the easiest options is to drop the internationals
not a **** soul cares about cooke or marlon man
the internationals are cheap thats literally the only reason theyre being cast
Because they didn't use them properly--that's the point.
They can find Americans cheap too
I don't have a problem with internationals being put on but having so many on the same season is the issue. They did it right on Vendettas when it was just Joss Rogan Kayleigh and Melissa
the US people are cheap too. those people from love island US, 12 days of XMAS (shows no one watched) of course are going to be cheap.
they also need to stop casting people purely off SM following. it's been shown time and time again it doesn't translate to viewers whatsoever.
