Honestly, since they were gonna do the come back either way Arthur should’ve just opted out. He didn’t need it. Just like other finalists who chose not to. The come back spot would have then gone to Louis in my opinion who would’ve been a better fit. Not looked at as super stiff competition and he is just a sweet, humble kid. Fan reaction wouldn’t have been so harsh and the other contestants would’ve been more welcoming.
American Idol saw how insane everyone went went it got canceled so they thought if they brought it back everyone would watch ... they were wrong and this show needs to stay dead

Yes and no, he was more an americana/folk singer than country. However, country music is adjacent to Americana. So kind of.
