She also said that she put her sabotage on a guy because she thought that production was "trying to pit women against each other".

I appreciate the recap.   This is the problem that I have with Kendal.  She doesn't understand the game.  The game pits the women again each others and it pits the men against each other.

She's also pointed out that she was closer to more men than women, so her hopes were that the men she was cool with would make it to the authority.  That's why she didn't sabotage Jordan, because she wanted him in the authority to be a vote in her favor.

OMG! KVM I am so proud of you for properly and necessarily quoting! Your growth here is so impressive! I just knew it was possible for people to change.

I reduce the quotes ALL THE TIME--just depends when I feel like doing it or not

That's at least strategy--just not sure it's a good one.

The game needs people like Kendal who have messy strategy and don't know what they are doing. It makes it interesting and unpredictable. It forces people to switch things up, it's just rare we get a good wildcard in power.

I'm biased, but I think Derrick is the one who made it hard to listen to. Kendal seems more well spoken in this interview than in previous ones, whereas Derrick is the one stammering and not answering the questions posed to him.

It didn't matter though.  Let's say she sabotages Sylvia or Kailah.  It's still basically 6 + 1 heavy person on 2.  She wasn't getting in The Authority and the events still play out the same.  Her not sabotaging a girl was also to sorta extend an olive branch to Kailah and Sylvia to say "Listen, I don't feel we've gotten to know each other much at all and I don't have a reason to dislike you.  I'm not one to screw over another woman in life, so I'd rather use this on a guy so that none of us girls suffer, and I hope you guys appreciate that and are willing to get to know me a little."  Kailah and Sylvia basically ran with the benefit and then continued to go after he anyway.  The rules of the game made it so Kendal didn't do a damn thing, especially given what the competition in episode 3 was where you could gang up on others.

Which is partially why I hate the current format.  I've always hated the troika and the tribunal and all that crap.  I'd rather power be limited.  But even then I hate the current trope of challenge seasons where people form these giant 15 person alliances with the intention of eliminating everyone else to make it so the competition doesn't actually matter at all.

You still need to do something to give yourself a chance to win--she didn't do that and MJ being close to Jonna who was floating was a really bad decision.

I hated the troika because of how it was picked.   The team basically selected 3 people and then the other winners still could go in.  It was stupid.  This format puts it in the hands of those that performed the best with the person losing going in--it's perfect IMO

This is just proof KVM likes to antagonize.

why?  I've also supported last place goes into elimination and the winner gets to pick.  And did picking MJ help or hurt Kendal's game?

disliking her evermore today bc of oldschooler rants Smile

I was talking about your quoting lol.

Where did I rant lol. I haven't dedicated more than 2 sentences on her while others are out here writing essays on the legend.

Again, I cut the quotes when I feel like it.  If i was to antagonize I'd never do it since it bothers you

I can admit Im warming up to you lately but kendal just will never be that girl that you hype her to be Smile

I haven't listened to many but this is the first podcast where I realized that Derrick is an AWFUL interviewer. He has no bite whatsoever. Answer the damn question! I get that he doesn't want to hurt her feelings but this is your business Derrick. I think the truth is not an overally mean answer. Kendal gets herself into a lot of avoidable situations; Refusing to jump in the water, sabotaging MJ, making the guy's squirm needlessly over the lifeshiled. She's a terrific person but not a dependable social player. There's also not a lot of negatives to voting her in. She had people that were looking out for her, but not a lot of people would depended on her in their game. Like Darrell, if he can keep her in great, if she went home it wasn't the biggest deal.

Kendal still maintains by the way that the reason she didn't go in the water was because TJ said she had to go in through her own tile, to which she wasn't going in backwards since they never tested how safe that was.  She admitted that in the confusion, neither her nor TJ realized she could have walked back around to jump through normally, so he was saying "Oh just jump on it from the big platform."  She had no issue going through an empty tile for example, as she knew that was safe.  And I don't disagree with her reasoning, considering how many people have gotten injured when things function properly, and in this case they didn't which is worse.  It shouldn't be on the contestant to make up for the architecture malfunctioning, but for whatever reason it seems to always be on them.  Like when Brad's wall fell over on Vendettas.

Kendal Star of the All-Star Trilogy.

<3

She seems really nice.

She seems really nice.

OMG! Are you Kendal, PK22? You are so awkwardly nice, it makes sense!

Why would I compliment myself on my own page?

Why would I compliment myself on my own page?

Why would you unnecessarily bump Sophia's thread with random photoshops or give the sabotage to someone in your alliance? We don't get all your decisions but we love you regardless.
