Cory Nelson and Tony as good guys made me laugh. Tony is one of the worst humans to be on the show. It's true that's the fake image all but Nelson pretend is true now but then Jordan should be a good guy for being friends with Nia.
Displayed violence against men and women. Was blatantly sexist. Cheated multiple times. Easily one of the worst. There isn't even an argument against it.
Presence, gameplay, and whether they are depicted as mean spirited or generally positive is the main criteria that matters. It's why people like Mike, Brad, Robin, and Julie were considered Good Guys. None of them were actively mean or confrontational people.
Think of the Bad *** team on the Inferno 2. Everyone on that team was either mean spirited, confrontational, or played the game a certain way. Even the less mean people like Derrick and Tonya were always side eyed by many due to their unpredictable natures
people like Tony, Cory and even Nelson, despite their questionable pasts, these days are depicted as being benevolent and almost wholesome? I think they might be right in putting them on the Good Guys based on Inferno 2 standards.
I remember back in 2004 or whenever the Inferno 2 was casting, MTV.com made a poll of every single cast member in RW and RR history and you had to vote whether they were 'Naughty' or 'Nice'. Maybe that's what they'll need to do again if they ever repeat this theme lol, which I hope they do because it was one of my favorites.
This is a popular challenge idea that always floats around. I did do it before myself but this time instead of it just being a team of Exes vs Couples, I made the Love team pairs of couples and close friends/Allies (to a degree) and the war team is composed of exes and rivals/enemies. Tried to make a cast with a good dynamic and loads of drama. Somewhat realistic as well (except for some who may have sort of retired)
Rules: Start the game with both teams facing off against eachother for a few challenges. You stay with your partner the entire challenge. Winning team is safe from elimination. Losing team then votes in one pair from their team into elimination. Winning team votes in the second pair from the losing team to face off. Loser goes home, winner stays. After a few challenges break up the teams and make it pairs only for the remainder of the game. Winning pair of the challenge is safe from elimination and gets to send a team into elimination. That team then gets to choose the team they want to face off against. Final 3 teams will face off in the final challenge for $500,000. Only 1st place gets money.
Going back to Tony and Nelson, you can def make a case (and it would be BS) from a productions stand point that they would justify putting them as Good Guys. Same with CT.

I want to hear the case for Tony...
it'll all depend on how they stack that side too, but there's a lot more recent guys that lesson Ton'ys bad asses-ness. They could easily sell the Tony Time redemption from Vendettas and Final Reckoning. Nelson has his noble deeds to Cory that they could spin. It wouldn't make sense given history but if we're being realistic then none of the decisions production makes a lot of sense and they have recency bias.

Tony wasn't a good guy on Vendettas or FR. He treated women horribly. He constantly lied and used people throughout the season. I get the Nelson argument but they have nothing for Tony other than him saying he wants to be a better man. Anything is possible--Brad was somehow a good guy as was John but Tony would be the biggest reach ever IMO. they def love portraying Tony as being some type of hometown hero when in reality he's just a buffoon. They've been trying to de-scümbag him ever since he became a father

love this idea but what's the point of having them stick in pairs when it's a 2-team season? like I don't want Da'Vonne going home if Shane loses yet another elimination...

It would only be two teams for the first half of the game. After like the first 7-8 challenges and eliminations the teams would be dissolved and they would now be competing as pairs.

I actually remember them doing this poll. They also had a tentative title of Angels vs Demons
Man the network was so fire then. Although in 2004/05 they annoyed the hell out of me with those Jamster commercials

having multiple people kicked out for violence on the Good Guys? a choice
(Cory, Darrell, Tony, Nelson, Kat)

Tony one of the worse??? Ok lol
Displayed violence against men and women. Was blatantly sexist. Cheated multiple times. Easily one of the worst. There isn't even an argument against it.
My take on a modern-day realistic THE CHALLENGE: THE INFERNO 4.
GOOD GUYS team
GOOD GUYS.jpg
BAD ***** team
BAD ASSEES.jpg
Who are the alts for when Nam gets DQed during episode 1?
Derek the new Josh then? Lol
I put Cory and Tony as good guys cause they're parents now. Not the best reasoning but it's what I went with

Yes if I was casting this in the trilogy era then I would have put them on bad ***** team

The Challenge All Stars 4 (Most Underrated)
Guys
Pete, Noor, CJ, Marlon, Ty, Frank S, Jamie Murray, Johnny Reilly, Shane Landrum, Jamie Banks, Leroy, Dustin
Girls
Janelle, Julie, Brittini, Jenn G, Theresa, Jill Z, Tori Hall, Jenna, Svetlana, Mandi, Coral, Cooke
It's not awful but Jenna's pregnant, Jamie Banks is a no for me, Svetlana still can't find her phone and I wish there were more true vets.
Like Lori or Tara would be great additions. Even 2x champ Roni.
