All Stars does need a year plus break, in my honest opinion. And a DEEP refocus on getting a cast that is rootable, brings fan support, AND can compete well.
The competition in the final was passionless. Like I get Shane and Frank getting annoyed and Adam being generally amped up, but that was basically four teams running against themselves. There was almost no inter-team drama at all.
Sam, while very nice and sweet, did incredible damage to the franchise in that water carrying challenge tonight. That was sad.
The show also needs a deep refocus onto a format that works to bring in more of the history of the franchise. I've been pushing a Champs vs Contenders because I think it will have a deeper impact on the franchise as a whole.
Congrats to Adam and Steve, I feel like there had to be editing tricks there because it made no sense that Shane or Davonne didn't seem surprised or angry that they lost by one second.
But people in shape getting last didn't damage the franchise? You sound ridiculous, let it go
Sam is not a boulder, she does have some skills that shone through in that final. But that was mostly Frank dragging Sam up to third place.
Da'vonne and Shane barely losing .... take me to the dimension where they won.
Something was off in the edit like a part of the final was cut out or something. They did not seem surprised that Adam and Steve won when it was announced.
Sam is not doing incredible damage to the franchise, lol. We just watched an entire final with Melissa and Nicole doing WORSE than Sam, coming in fourth a lot. They should have been running circles around much older and out of shape teams, but they simply just suck.

Sam did perform competently in three of the eight checkpoints (the tower building, the eating, and the paddling). She was not exactly horrible in three of the checkpoints (the barrell rolling, the camp memory, and the balance beam). BUT she was perhaps the worst finals competitor ever in two of the checkpoints (the dune and the water carrying).
Like I'm not gonna say that Sam was a disgrace the whole final. But she was for a full one quarter of it. And abysmally so. If their team was two Sams, Melissa and Nicole easily get third place. Frank being a champ and dragging his team to third place is not an endorsment of Sam or an indictment of Melissa/Nicole. He's simply better than them.

You're not giving Sam her due credit, which I agree there is little to give but Frank didn't get their team to third on his own. Sam had to balance on that beam as much as Frank to get third. Granted without Sam he probably would have won. My point isn't that Sam is good. It's that your argument that she's a detriment to the franchise because she's overweight when we literally just saw two fit people do worse than her in 6 out of 8 checkpoints is a bias.

This is what I've been trying to say, he's so tunnel vision for Sam that he doesn't realize that Nicole & Melissa being "fit" and underperforming should be his focus
I didn't mind Sam, there's always out of shape people on these shows like Aneesa, Veronica, Katie etc. I'm ok with watching regular non fitness freaks competing it's a reality show at the end of the day not a real sport.
Either way they can wrap this show up now. It's the same exact show as flagship and they can mix in the OGs in that show.
Sam hate is displaced anger. She performs better than Aneesa, Veronica, and few others yet I don't hear y'all ***** and moan as loudly about them as y'all do with Sam. And let me not even get started on male mfs out of shape like CT and others. Always gotta go hardest on the women huh.

Just finished watching this episode. I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that we got robbed of seeing Frank run circles around every challenger if this was a Singles format. Having him be paired up with Sam was a death sentence and it's so disappointing to see. He was arguably in the best shape of his life and I could see him competing with the likes of Jordan and Theo.

No because they didn't gas out going up a hill a couple times or pass out from jogging back and forth across 50 yards a couple times. It was incredibly disrespectful for Sam to come onto this challenge as overweight as she was. Frank did an amazing job with that anchor and would've won this challenge if he was paired up with any of the other 6 players who made it to the finals, or anyone else that was on the show (except for Veronica and maybe Aneesa). Sam should show some respect to not just the show and her partner, but herself and improve her life.

Erm, do we not see athletes gas out all the time? So does that make them disrespectful for showing up to compete and gassing out?

I've never seen an athlete gas out from going up a small sand hill a couple times. Nor have I ever seen an athlete gas out from jogging on some 50 yard length lilypads a couple times. I wish this was a singles contest, then Sam would have every right to show up to the show overweight (even thought it would still be disrespectful to her own self) because at least she wouldn't be holding anyone back. Aneesa and Sam are the worst.

I am happy a road rules team won <3
Despite this last episode being dull, I thought the season overall was good. Sad the ratings don't reflect that.

Even Pink agrees with me.

What was the twist?

Yet she got third and beat 2 people. So the point is?

And many of y'all don't like how they're doing finals these days but I actually find them to be more watchable
I CALL OUT FAT CT ALL THE TIME.
There would've been a final competition between Adam and Steve if they didn't agree that they would each split.
They hyped up that little twist just for nothing to happen lol
This was the most boring finale setup ever? Made zero noise besides Frank berating Sam, as he should
Gotta agree with Scott here...

Some of yall need to just stick to sports/Olympics.
