Frank literally stopped 3/4's of the way through the final to give Sam a heart-to-heart that she was heading to a premature death, likely in her mid-50's.
I say this as someone that likes Sam a lot as a person. But she had absolutely no business getting cast in the shape that she was.
THIS IS A COMPETITON REALITY SHOW.
WATCHING HER GAS OUT AND GET INJURED IS NOT ENTERTAINING.
She did NOT perform better than Nicole or Melissa outside of the food and the paddling. She was carried by her Championship-level partner out of last place.
Not "athletes" but off the top of my head we've seen Rogan, Georgia, and Wes completely gas out from running and actually quit/dq. All were in really good shape. Ideally Aneesa, Sam, and V should be in shape before coming on any season, but they aren't doing any "damage" to a tv show. This is an exaggeration.

Rogan injured his back weeks before filming Vendettas, Georgia made a rookie mistake and tried to keep pace with freaks of nature athletes, and Wes got dehydrated and cramped up. All of those were unfortunate incidents that were in no way indicative of them as competitors. I would say seeing people that we know are great athletes getting injured/gas out can actually enhance the drama, in small doses.
There's absolutely nothing entertaining or enjoyable about watching noticeably out of shape people gas out minutes into a competition.
There's absolutely nothing entertaining or enjoyable about watching noticeably out of shape people gas out minutes into a competition.
And watching Nicole not knowing how to row a boat or pour water in a tube isn't enjoyable either. She's a bad competitor because she has rocks for brain instead of being fat. Why are we just focusing on one thing?

LOL I'm certainly not encouraging including morons like Nicole either. She's proven to be a layup in finals over and over again.
Once Katie & Veronica left us I got bored with the season. They carried it for me. When we get AS6 after 42 I really hope they reevaluate how they cast and see they need to keep All Stars OG - they make the seasons time and time again. And we don't need it to be extreme physical challenges constantly - let their personalities take hold of the show.
I'm happy a Road Rules team won - but I wish they would have let every team do the twist so we could see at least one team battle it out for money or something.
All Stars does need a year plus break, in my honest opinion. And a DEEP refocus on getting a cast that is rootable, brings fan support, AND can compete well.
The competition in the final was passionless. Like I get Shane and Frank getting annoyed and Adam being generally amped up, but that was basically four teams running against themselves. There was almost no inter-team drama at all.
Sam, while very nice and sweet, did incredible damage to the franchise in that water carrying challenge tonight. That was sad.
The show also needs a deep refocus onto a format that works to bring in more of the history of the franchise. I've been pushing a Champs vs Contenders because I think it will have a deeper impact on the franchise as a whole.
Congrats to Adam and Steve, I feel like there had to be editing tricks there because it made no sense that Shane or Davonne didn't seem surprised or angry that they lost by one second.
But people in shape getting last didn't damage the franchise? You sound ridiculous, let it go
No because they didn't gas out going up a hill a couple times or pass out from jogging back and forth across 50 yards a couple times. It was incredibly disrespectful for Sam to come onto this challenge as overweight as she was. Frank did an amazing job with that anchor and would've won this challenge if he was paired up with any of the other 6 players who made it to the finals, or anyone else that was on the show (except for Veronica and maybe Aneesa). Sam should show some respect to not just the show and her partner, but herself and improve her life.
Erm, do we not see athletes gas out all the time? So does that make them disrespectful for showing up to compete and gassing out?
I've never seen an athlete gas out from going up a small sand hill a couple times. Nor have I ever seen an athlete gas out from jogging on some 50 yard length lilypads a couple times. I wish this was a singles contest, then Sam would have every right to show up to the show overweight (even thought it would still be disrespectful to her own self) because at least she wouldn't be holding anyone back. Aneesa and Sam are the worst.
Who hurt you and what are you smoking Jay? You probably are also fine with Kenny raping Tonya with a toothbrush. GTFOH
Just to be completely clear: I am not fat-phobic. I do not think heavy people are lesser than normal people in anyway, in personal or professional life.
It is true that I have engaged in mean-spirited insults against Aneesa on here in that way. It is not an excuse, but I do that against Aneesa because I believe she is not a good person and feel like she is more "fair game". But I would never reach out to her on twitter or instagram or anything like that.
On someone like Sam, who seems like a wonderful person, I have never or would never hurl insults at her. My opinion stands though that putting obviously obese people on this show is wreckless, pointless, and only acts to the detriment on the franchise.
The Challenge has built itself for the last decade and a half as primarily a physical competition show. Layups should not be cast. There is a massive subset of the fanbase that watches EXCLUSIVELY for the dailies and the eliminations. If they stop watching, the franchise is off the air in days.
Bias. Amber didn't provide more than Devin and I hate him. Amber didn't do shit but call out Frank for being "they" and "the biggest snake in the house right now "...
i would say sylvia and kellyanne would be roughly equal, maybe kellyanne gets an extra 0.5 points for her ig live fight with frank. besides that they got the same amount of air time and were only seen together
A biased list of people you just like. Beth, Jonna, and Sylvia, Kellyanne had the same storyline and amount of screen time. They should be equal. Like her or not, Nicole should be rated much higher. And Devin, Aneesa, and Corey were way more entertaining than Fessy and Ashley K. Fessy was non-existent this season outside of confessionals. I like both Ashley and Da'vonne, but they should be lower.
Y'all should go finger y'allselves to Exatlon or sumn.

Didn't Lolo mf Jones gas tf out a few times on Double Agents? Nevermind the fact that she was perpetually frustrated and irritated that season.

this.
Also the fat-phobic rants are an ugly look - do better and grow up.
I'm happy a Road Rules team won - but I wish they would have let every team do the twist so we could see at least one team battle it out for money or something.
Also did Gamer or Pink ever reveal who officially were alts this season?
The fatphobic mfs better thank God ozempic was invented or their mf ***** would become morbidly obese later in life as part of their karma.
I can't believe we're gonna have months on end of the Nicole and Melissa picture up at the top as the main banner on Vevmo. ******* disgusting.
Not a deserved win

So if layups shouldn't be cast, why do they cast Nicole Zanatta, Jenna Compono, Nany Gonzalez and others who will never win?
Nicole brings drama and someone on casting thinks she brings something, I guess? I certainly don't want her here.
Jenna is beautiful and her relationship started on this show. She also has fans. Also, with the right partner, she could conceivably win.
Nany could also conceivably win. If AS5 was exclusively male/female pairs, I give her and Turbo a high chance to win that final.

Bias. Amber didn't provide more than Devin and I hate him. Amber didn't do shit but call out Frank for being "they" and "the biggest snake in the house right now "...
And Da'vonne was nonexistent this season. **** poor rankings dumb ***

Da'Vonne carried in confessionals late in the season.
Davonne didnt want to be there. It was evident and that's just not good tv.
