Haha yeah, looking bored/stoned out of his mind.
Oh, stop it. He does not.
I like the way they've been presenting the Best/Supporting Actor awards.

Does too!
I absolutely agree. I really like the way that they presented the main awards tonight. They should do it that way more often!!
Not to put a damper on it, and congratulations to him, but do you think Heath Ledger would have won if he were still alive?
No. But I was happy that he did. He could've easily won one for Brokeback Mountain and he should've gotten nominated for Monster's Ball (his performance imo was way more chilling and real that Halle's) plus with his talent I think had he lived a win would've been almost inevitable. He's neither the first nor the last to win an award more for body of work than the actual performance (Denzel losing for Malcolm X, Philadelphia and Hurricane but winning for Training Day, please).
I was so happy to see Slumdog Millionaire cleaning up, Bollywood represent!

I don't even think he would have been nominated.
But, I can work with Binary's logic...

No really...he did, but that is okay with me...all he has to do is stand/sit there and look gorgeous :)
I wasn't really paying attention to what he said (too busy drooling) but I think he snickered when he was saying something about adjusting to fame or something like that. I really don't think he is taking the whole being a hearthrob thing very well yet...give him til after New Moon releases and he will be more used to it.
On a side note...I really like a lot of the dresses. I really liked Miley's for some reason (all but the belt!)...I say for some reason because I am usually not into things that are that frilly and girly, for some reason I just really liked it.

I agree. He is definitely the next Mickey Rourke (which bodes well for his Oscar future, right?)

A man who loves his dogs...I can live with that...I will just have to keep him away from plastic surgeons :D

I agree. A lot of the dresses were very nice. I really like Teraji P. Henson's gown and necklace. She was my favorite of the night.
Miley's was cute too. I like girlie frilly stuff... but I like it a little more on the classic side. The dress was still very beautiful though.
I was sincerely disappointed in Reese Witherspoon. Her dress did nothing for her.. and the dark blue eye shadow was a no no. :( I usually love her look.
I am quite disappointed that Sean Penn won instead of Mickey Rourke. While I applaud Penn for telling us the story of Harvey Milk, his role was nothing in comparison to Rourke's. What I believe is the the Elitist Liberal Snobs of Hollywood used this as an opportunity to put the prop 8 defeat on stage.

I agree with you. Mickey Rourke got robbed.

I personally hate Rourke as an actor, so I am happy for Sean Penn who has always shown remarkable thespian skills throughout his career.

I completely agree that Sean Penn is absolutely amazing.. However, I think Rourke deserved this particular award.
I still haven't seen Slumdog. I need to get on that!
Oscars were OK. Yanno - until my DirecTV DVR cut off the last 15 minutes....aka all the important categories. THANKS DIRECTV!

Pandering at its worst. This is why the MTV movie awards have always been a joke.
To put this in perspective, Slumdog scored an 86 on metacritic (in the top 120 of all time) while Twilight scored a 56. Films comparable to Slumdog in rating would be Million Dollar Baby, Easy Riders and Boys don't Cry while films in the Twilight range would be State of Play, Monsters vs Aliens and Legally Blonde (actually Legally was considerably better with a 59.)
Only on MTV could these movies possibly even be put in the same sentence.
These are not even comparable films in the quality department, as one is a sloshed together teenie flick with segmented appeal and the other is the Best Picture Oscar winning, critically acclaimed love story about a rags to riches rise from slums of Mumbai!
I bet Twilight wins, by a landslide.
Edit: Ok, I feel better now. :D
I have to agree withy ou on that one B...Yeah I love twilight but I recognize it for hecotton candy fluff that it is...Slumdog was a far superior movie but like you mentioned...this is MTV...nuff said :)
