Early prediction. Lesbian ministers out by the second leg. Grandson and Grandfather not far ahead or behind. I think they'll be the first two to go. Dang it! Is it November yet?????
Early prediction. Lesbian ministers out by the second leg. Grandson and Grandfather not far ahead or behind. I think they'll be the first two to go. Dang it! Is it November yet?????
I think those are safe picks. Notice there are no young alpha male teams? CBS has finally learned!
So, I have never ever seen a season of this show, but I am really looking forward to watching it. I hope that it appeals to me more than Survivor did. :) Anyhoo, just going by this, I kinda like the grandfather/grandson duo. I'm not sure exactly how physical this show gets, but it doesn't seem likely my fave duo will last far. Or at least my favorite duo at this first glance.
I'm not sure exactly how physical this show gets, but it doesn't seem likely my fave duo will last far.
This show is really physical. A TAR staple is at least 2-3 repels and jumping off one really tall structure! That is why I brought up the alpha male team as they always win or are at least around until the very end. Also, you need to know that an all female team has never won The Amazing Race and there have been some good ones! The teams usually try and divide up the tasks (they have to do an equal amount total) so that the stronger person does the toughest things, but it never works out like that and that is why the teams with two strong people have the ultimate advantage. CBS stuck an old guy on the only male/male team to handicap it! ;)
My "snap judgment" picks: Winner: Jennifer Parker and Nathan Runner up: Azaria and Hendekea Azene First to sequestor: Ronald and Christina Hsu

My "snap judgment" picks: Winner: Jennifer Parker and Nathan Runner up: Azaria and Hendekea Azene First to sequestor: Ronald and Christina Hsu

I think the Azene sibs will fight a lot. Their competitive drive may hinder their success if they can't get a long. Sequester? Never thought about it but I guess near the end the teams eliminated do end up in sequester. The Goth couple, now they are just weird, but weird usually means they will do fairly well. Katie this is the best reality show on network TV IMNSVHO, I know you will love it. :D
Sequester? Never thought about it but I guess near the end the teams eliminated do end up in sequester.
Last year they sequestered everyone and there was even a weekly show that you could watch on the internet with the teams that were eliminated. It was like they used to do on Big Brother where you would see the eliminated teams waiting to see who was next. So what I meant by first to sequester was first eliminated. However, being that these are not All Stars they probably will not do it.
Katie this is the best reality show on network TV IMNSVHO, I know you will love it. :D
My favorite!!!
Ahhh, I didn't know that. You'll have to hook me up with the link of where to go to watch. That team is on my radar for the first to be eliminated but I'm counting on the daughter to pull them along for a bit. Once I see what kind of physical shape her dad is in then I'll be able to better judge. Sometimes it just comes down to bad luck and has nothing to do with physical strength or athletics. A bad navigator could be the death of a team. I so want to do this show. Bacchus wanna do it? You and me in TAR 13...we just have to save the show first. :D
I so want to do this show. Bacchus wanna do it? You and me in TAR 13...we just have to save the show first.
Hmmm....I think there was an internet couple in TAR 7! ;) You have to agree to do the food challenge if it is individual, that is all I ask! My stomach is fragile!
Oh! You just outted us. ;) I'll have to watch my back now. Heck I'm a mom, super mom at that. I can eat my way through that challenge.... I hope. I'm sure we'll 'break up' inside of two days. ;) we barely survived the creation of this site. HA! (I'm j/k ... but there were times.... lol)

(I'm j/k ... but there were times.... lol)
Well, you know how my other internet girlfriends can get. Better invest in that Kevlar vest we talked about. *wink* *wink* ;) As far as the food challenge, I keep thinking of the caviar one in Russia where they had to eat like 5 pounds of it (and 90% tossed after each bite) or even worse was the soup one were someone threw up a little in his soup (I forget who but it was TAR 6 as I remember Victoria eating it and getting mad at Jonathan) but still had to eat it.....ewwwwww!
Kathleen what does IMNSVHO mean??? Well so much for my picks then I suppose. Eric and Jessica from BB8 have like a full blown internet campaign going to do the next season of this show. Jessica even has a blog on her myspace asking for everyone to mail their own childhood 'Woobies' into whoever is in charge of casting for TAR. *GAG*
Kathleen what does IMNSVHO mean???
IMNSVHO = In my not so very humble opinion. :D If CBS were to do another crossover of reality shows (which I don't think they will since they said they would not since Rob and Amber) they would choose the pairing of **** and Daniele than Eric and Jessica. Although I would love to compete against Eric and Jessica. ;)
Ah gotcha. Learn new internet slang every day. ;) Glad that CBS probably won't do it. For some reason Jessica and Eric get on my nerves very badly. They just can't seem to get over the fact that the Donatos won. If they happen to actually do a crossover, I would love to see Nick and Daniele... we didn't get to see nearly enough of Nick's bod in the BB8 house! :D Why would you love to compete against Jess and Eric?? Is it because it would be super easy to beat Eric in most physical competitions? Hee hee. You and Bacchus should totally do it! Then I could say I knew you guys when.
I have ZERO interest in Eric and Jessica and I think most people agree. Even though there were a few people that pulled for them during Big Brother that was only an anti-Donato thing. If CBS did go with another crossover pairing I'd be up for **** & Danielle or Nick & Danielle. Actually, Nick & Danielle would be a serious ****** team as far as the competitions went. "THAT SOOOOOOOO NOT FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIR! I AM SOOOOOOO FRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSTRATED!"
Even though there were a few people that pulled for them during Big Brother that was only an anti-Donato thing.
You know that is not true. :D My liking them had nothing to do with disliking the Donatos. For the most part I had no problem with ****...just those few times he crossed the line in his intimidation antics. Daniele is a different story...couldn't stand the whiney little brat. (loved Nick though :) ) I was rooting for Eric and in turn Jessica because gosh darn it someone had to. America was seriously ****** up Eric and that wasn't fair. Besides they were cute. It seems I have a soft spot for geeks and homosexuals. LOL
I was rooting for Eric and in turn Jessica because gosh darn it someone had to.
That is what I am saying though Kath. Your 1 Nielson Box wouldn't be worth having a crossover of those E-List characters to TAR, while Our xxx million "Donato Nation" Boxes just might be enough of a temptation to the Brass over at the Eye Network to git-r-done! :D If you remember, Romber were pretty much in the same liked/hated boat as Dick/Dani and The Amazing Race 7 was probably one of my favorite seasons (and had great ratings!)
Well, I know that....that's what I said to begin with. If CBS were to ever do it they'd go with the Donatos over Eric and Jess. I was just arguing that I didn't like Eric and Jess because I was being perverse because I wasn't rooting for the Donatos.
I was just arguing that I didn't like Eric and Jess because I was being perverse because I wasn't rooting for the Donatos.
Suuuuuuuure Kathleen! We will go along with the "I liked Eric because I liked Eric and not hated the Donatos" cover story. Gotcha! ;)
If I ever have to listen to Eric talk in circles for hours on television again I don't know what I'll do. Jessica I didn't mind so much until I saw her myspace page. That girl really thinks she's a star now. She has about a ZILLION 'Jeric' cheesy tribute videos all over her page. I just think there was something a little phony about her, that's all.
I just think there was something a little phony about her, that's all.
I didn't mind her either until after the show when she starting crying about not winning. Then I moved her over to the "hate column" with Jen and company. All those whiners deserve each other...
Just wanted to mention that the Travel Channel is showing The Amazing Race 12 in its entirety starting tomorrow (Wednesday night) at 7 and 8 PM! :D
