Amazing Race: Ep. 3 - Run Like Scalded Dogs
Racers are steered off course while racing through the expansive Argentinian countryside and one team finds themselves in the emergency room, and a team is led astray when one Racer overestimates their ability to use a compass. Man that sucks for Caite and Brent.
The lesbians are getting on my last nerve.
Pit stop? They're only 25 min into the episode...
I guess they will be lost.
That's what I thought too, as soon as he said that I was like what the ****! I can't believe they considered this an entire leg of the race.
Man, it's kind of obvious to tell what team goes home based on their body language during their interviews.
Jeff just said what everyone else has been saying since their season of big brother. So many other teams I wanted gone before them.
Intersection? Have they ever done that before?
Intersection? Have they ever done that before?
I remember it being used in the All-Stars season, not sure if it was used any other time. Glad the father/daughter team finally got some air time!
What do you mean intersection?
What do you mean intersection?
It was on the preview for next week.
I really think they are dropping the ball on the roadblocks this year, thus far. Also, while I think the Cowboys would do good no matter the task, it seems a little too well thought out by production to have a constant flow of farm and cowboy friendly tasks this early in the game. Maybe they felt they wanted to beef up their ratings share in Texas and Oklahoma by assuring the Cowboys stayed around for awhile? Anyway, I am hoping things pick up next week. Jeff and Jordan being dolts is not enough to carry the show... Edit: Maybe "dolts" was a little strong. I actually like them on TAR, but if having them do their clueless sideshow shtick every week is going to be the core of the show, it is going to be a long and empty season.
This season is definitely nothing special so far. The challenges are not so interesting and neither are the contestants. I forgot which season it was, but there was a husband/wife team that always faught and the husband would be physical with his wife (I think his name was jonathan?) it was hysterical. I also liked Jamie and Cara... No one this season has that *****! I felt bad for the mom's, they definitely seemed like a strong team. Next weeks challenge seems fun, and they are finally leaving the South American farm life. What is an intersection again?

They have a daughter. They are now divorced.
Good for Victoria. Although they were entertaining to watch, the way he treated her (at least on the race) was disgraceful.
the Detour was quite funny, but i can't wait for 4th episode where we'll see 1st extreme challenge and "intersection"
Can you tell us what that island is? YouTube - this is Hawaii
I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don’t have maps.
Heh...Caitlin is once again getting some buzz today. The Miss South Carolina maps meme will probably be trotted out every time for all eternity when someone makes a boneheaded geography mistake. :D
What is an intersection again?

The Intersection, used in Seasons 10 and 11, requires each team to pair up with one other team and perform all tasks and make decisions together until further notice. Should there be no other teams present when a given team arrives at the Intersection route marker, they must wait there until another team arrives, though they do not have to partner with that team and can opt to wait for another team instead. Teams are free to choose their partner team if multiple teams are present. Route Markers for Detours and Fast Forwards have been included with the use of the Intersection.
So does an intersection help teams get to the mat faster? is it an advantage? I remember it being used a little bit during season 10, but is it necessary to use it? Can a team just avoid it? or if the first team to get to the intersection do they have to do it? I hope everyone has to do the extreme challenge, the preview made it seem it was only for the lesbian team and the brother team (sorry I forgot the names)

For some teams, it could be a disadvantage depending on what team they pair up with. They can't avoid it. I don't really see it being much of an advantage as much as a disadvantage.
I saw screencaps that had the cowboys paired up with the detectives, and Jordan and Caite paired up. But Jordan and Caite were on a subway. Some posters at RFF are guessing that the intersection is also a roadblock...while one member bungees, the other half have to navigate through the metro.
The lesbians are kind of annoying. The cowboys were at first, but now I think they're kind of endearing! Jeff's comment about them never procreating was hilarious haha
