Ian McShane as a bad Santa!! that was sooo perfect! Amazing acting by him and Rabe this episode.
I honestly didnt want this episode to end... it was so **** excited and fast paced!!
What happened to Jude at the end and Lana with the phone call had me freaking out...
AND LOOK WHO'S ON NEXT WEEK!!! Dylan McDermott (aka Ben Harmon)... and the theories running around about who his character will truly in fact be seem to be right.... We shall see! only 5 more episodes!!! wish it was longerrrr haha
This week's episode was the best of the.season imo. Very fast-paced, had great suspense, great backstory with the bad Santa, and Arden betraying Jude. Also I absolutely love Jessica Lange, that is all.

I don't think season one was necessarily better at this point. I just think they're very different. Personally, I liked the setting (a haunted house) in season one better than the season two setting but the story is elite for both seasons. The acting is absolutely amazing and the writers seem to be tying everything together perfectly. I remember being slightly disappointed at stages last year but that's just because they set the bar so high.
I've thus far watched the first two episodes of the first season and at this point, I definitely prefer this season to the first. I also find insane asylums and the whole ***** era intriguing.

True but Season 2 has characters and actors that I just can not stand. And I loved most of the actors and certain characters from season 1.
Maybe season 1 being better was a overstatement but it still was more exciting.

I see what you're saying with this. I think this season is exciting but just in an entirely different was. I'm sure there's people that like this season more than last year but I agree with you that I was more intrigued with the first season.
Many have said the same thing about the characters. I felt a stronger connection with Tate, Ben, Viven, Constance and Moira than I do with anyone this season. Lizzie Brochere & Sarah Paulson are great actors but I just can't get as attached to them. Lily Rabe is utterly amazing this season though--her portrayal of Sister Mary Eunice is flawless--I hope next season they use her in a sympathetic role because I think she'd be easy to attach to.
oh my god. did all of that really just happen... or was it some insanely awesome dream.
this show literally changes direction every five seconds... and i am ok with that!! keeps the plot rolling, keeps the twists coming!
And now 3 weeks... 3 weeks after THAT ENDING? jeezus Ryan Murphy!!!! GAH!!!
I really don't like the alien thing. I am a HUGE fan of everything Ryan murphy does, but aliens in the mix makes no sense at all. I really hope there is another explanation.
i actually don't mind the alien stuff... that was a huge thing in the 60s... so its understandable that its part of the show... seems a little out of left field at first and sci-fi horror doesnt have the biggest fanbase, but I like how they've handled it... definitely something new. The way that ended though with Kit, Grace, and Pepper... i was literally shouting at the screen for Arden to run back and save Kit. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! AHH!

Wait until we see the ending. I don't have a problem with the alien thing
Although AHS and Nip/Tuck are the only things that Ryan Murphy have been a part of that I thought were good
so it returned tonight... and holy ****!!!
Spoilers from here on!!!
Mary Eunice and Arden in one episode!!! THAT WAS CRAZY!! As much as I loved the devil nun, I was cheering for the Monsignor!! He got his one chance on her vulnerability and i'm glad he took it! I know I would've! haha
As for Thredson! hate him sooooo much!! GAH how does he keep getting out of these things. Well i do know... Eunice! But hooray for Lana!! she has put him in quite the dilemma... I hope he doesnt threaten Kit's life to get the tape back. Btw *** is gonna happen when Alma returns with a baby as well? What is Kit gonna do??
I can't decide if I like the new Pepper more than the old. She is much more devilish this time around... but there is still some innocence (and the fact that she was put in their for no reason!!)
And Jude... oh how i feel for her. I remember hating her guts at the beginning and now you feel so bad for her. She has gone through **** and back... i hope the mother helps her try to get Lana out. But she looked so crazy when she was talking to her I'm not sure she'll believe it.
And who saw that cremation ending coming?? I for sure thought before Arden removed the cloth over Eunice's face it was gonna be someone else going in, liked a knocked out Monsignor. Then I thought she was gonna open her eyes and attack him. Then i thought he'd go all necrophilia. Not once did I think he'd commit suicide and kill himself along with cremating her!! a **** comitting suicide?? fitting. :P And just like that, two of the biggest villains this season are DEAD. Oh what a twisted Romeo & Juliet haha
Or so it seems. Something tells me they aren't all dead and gone.
All i know is, I can't wait for what the last three episodes hold!!! No clue where they are taking it!! :D
This season gets better and better every single episode could not believe Mary Eunice is actually gone. I have a question what happened to the demon? Did it go to the father?

I think it's still up in the air.
The angel of death said to sister Mary "I am ready to take the BOTH of you" right before she kissed her. I think she means the devil as well as sister Mary, but my cousin seems to think she met Arden.
This was by far the best episode of both seasons. Ryan Murphy tweeted that two people would die, but I never expected those two in a million years.
The way that they capture humor in these moments amazes me and I can't get enough of it. The name game song was hysterical.
The scene with Jude at the end really creeped me out. My god can she act. I'm really sad that there are only 3 more episodes left. They really need to make longer seasons for this show. 16-18 would be great.
I wonder what they are going to focus on now? I'm assuming the remainder of the season will be focused on bloody face??

I actually found more info in this interview.
So is the devil gone? Did the Angel of Death take away the devil?
I really loved that ending for her character. We didn’t want she dies and the devil goes into someone else. I liked the idea that the only thing more powerful than the devil is the Angel of Death, which is actually the cousin of the devil. I liked that ending and I thought it was good. That’s always what happens historically around episode 10, we start wrapping everything up and characters die. So this was a big one.

So Murphy said they put a Season 3 clue in this past episode "The Name Game"
A lot of discussion on the imdb forums and it seems to have come down to two locations:
-New Orleans (and Witches/Voodoo... the song Eunice plays "I put a Spell on You" as well as almost all of the artists and/or songs in the juke box had a connection to NOLA.
-Washington (something about the horrors in congress, i dunno lol)
And murphy plans of making it a little lighter than this season. Glamour Horror? And a new romeo + juliet storyline... im sure the teen AHS girl fans will like that haha
This could be really good!
Okay, I really don't think Dylan McDermott is the son of "Bloody Face" but Kit's son--although maybe Kit was actually Bloody Face. I think this show gets better every week
I love Lilly Rabe, love her 2 characters well 3 if you count when she was possessed. Also cannot get enough of Jessica Lange she is an excellent actress.
The show really went to **** towards the end of the season, especially the last three or four episodes before the finale. The finale did tie up most of the loose ends but I couldn't help but feel like it was a tad anticlimactic. Definitely prefer season 1 to season 2 big time.
I think this finale was wonderful. Way better than the first season. Everything ended how I expected it to, but I'm not going to complain because last years ending ****** me off.
I too loved the finale to this season!! Finally brought things up to present day, we saw how everyones lives ended up, and it was bittersweet but everyone seemed to have got somewhat of a happy ending (even if they did die haha)
This season has been incredible!!! I'd say its on par with Season 1 but for very different reasons. Season 1 had that homey feel... It had some light hearted comedy, some family drama issues, a fascinating history, and some serious topics. Season 2 had the dark creepy elements, the mysterious atmosphere, the time period hot topic issues, crazy characters, and christianity vs. science.
They both were phenomenal. I even liked the Season 1 finale wheras most did not. Everything I wanted answered was answered, and everything that was not was left up to my imagination. Much like this season finale. We still never fully learned the aliens motive, but I think that was the point of it... does anyone really know where they come from? what they look like? what they want? Nope. It's kinda smart leaving that open ended in my mind... we know as much as the next person about aliens... nothing.
Season 3 can't come soon enough! I'm interested in seeing how witches play an important role in the modern world. I'm also happy it will be a more light-hearted season in the season 1 sense. More bright and a little more comedy. The romance could be interesting if its the root of the season too... I hope Taissa Farmiga rejoins the cast!
Your wish is Ryan Murphy's command:
