Marie is not the weak link, she is much more athletic than Laura. The only challenge Laura did better was the first one and that's because she is smaller and could get up off the ladder quicker. Also Marie missed the challenge trivia question and she said she's never watched the challenges before. Marie is also carrying her team politically. Marie played soccer...doesn't matter if you're the goalie, defender midfielder, or forward you have to be able to run.
Laura and Trey brought St. Thomas down.
Marie is easily the best player on this team.

Sometimes opening your mouth up too much makes you weaker

On Derrick's podcast, Laura was one of the 5 rookie girls that Zach wanted and not Marie. I would think that Laura is better just because of that, especially since he is friends with Marie and not so much with Laura.

Marie even said on an interview with Alex from Back to San Diego that she was her team's weak link. She said she wasn't a good climber, wasn't very agile, and didn't have the gas to run a final.
She said her strong point was brute strength and the political game but Laura was the better athlete. She said she played soccer...but she was two weeks removed from spending three months doing nothing but drinking and smoking...she didn't magically get her conditioning back upon leaving the island.

Zach isn't very bright, he's proven that.

In addition to what JL8 said, Marie held St. Thomas back on the third challenge and lost to Camila at oil wrestling.
The first and third challenge were the most physical of the six we've seen and Marie was the weak link in both.
Trey also said in an interview with Alex than Robb refused to haul the chariot because he's a smoker.

I find this completely false. Almost laughable to be honest. In Lauras audition tape for Real World she was playing football and doing gymnastics. She said she almost tried out for the Lingerie Football League. I know Marie used to be an athlete in High School, but from what I've seen she no longer is.

Marie lost to Camila in oil wrestling but I don't think Laura would have won against Camila either. Marie was probably the second toughest girl there at the event and she did a great job against Cara Maria who is also rather tough. Remember when the vets were deciding the final match to determine which team was going to the arena, they decided on Laura against Melinda instead of Marie which shows that the vets viewed Laura as the easier win in that particular event since their goal was to get St. Thomas into the arena ultimately.
You probably didn't watch St. Thomas, because if you had, you'd know that Robb has a very submissive personality (at least that's what I felt, watching him).
Like Marie was the one wearing the pants in their relationship.
Also, he doesn't feel the need to prove anything, or to be in power, like Trey, Frank, Alton or Zach do.
I watched the whole season and yea Robb has a submissive personality WHEN IT COMES TO BEATING HIS OWN SELF UP.
And that might be his reckoning this season and for future seasons if he doesn't man up.

No, it's not false. It's my opinion. And I think Laura even knows she is weaker than Marie. Plus Marie CAN beat Camila it was a close match. Laura couldn't beat Camila or Cara Maria.
I think people just prefer Laura's personality (which I dkbr understand) so they want to believe she is better than Marie.
Honestly I think that if Marie went into the fish slapping portion of that challenge they still would've lost IMO.
Can't tell for sure. I don't blame Laura for wanting to do it over Marie. She knew that if they lost, she was going into the Arena so she decided to put her fate in her own hands.

To be fair you said Marie is "MUCH more athletic than Laura". That was what I was commenting on. Marie may be better politically (in this challenge at least) because she is louder than Laura. Marie is probably stronger because she is bigger. But I still stand by Laura being overall more athletic than Marie. To each his own.
I love Robb and Marie. Robb is the hottest guy on the challenge and my dream guy. I love gingers and tall men who are caring and chill. He's my type to a tee. Thank you Real World for finally casting my type.
I think Marie is the most interesting RW girl in a long time. She may have her flaws, but she is great television and is such a strong, no b.s. type chick. I saw a preview of her pushing people down for Robb. I hate that they broke up. But I think what happened is she embarassed Robb on television by looking like she was running their relationship and Robb was just the sad puppy following her around. She should have been nicer to him.
Anyway Marie was the only reason to watch St Thomas. Laura and Trey were just torture.I bet Marie gets invited back again and again to these challenges. I've said we need more strong female personalities on the challenge with the likes of Coral and Tina gone. Marie seems tough as hell.

Laura may be more athletic but she definitely didn't show it during this challenge--maybe she'll impress next time. For now I think Marie has to be given the edge.

Laura is a cheerleader so shes in pretty good shape. I just think she might not be as challenge ready - mentally/physically - as Marie. For example if this was a Duel, I think they might be evenly matched. lol I think it's Marie's "bad *****" attitude that sets them apart

Couldn't agree anymore. I see Laura being Casey caliber.

I would venture an estimate that about 80% of the viewing audience is of "Casey caliber" or are less capable, perhaps in the "Shauvon" class.

Isn't the demographic of this show aimed at teenagers? lol
Then I agree.
I already knew Trey was a jerk, but now he's a racist too. His comments were just the kind of crap white supremacists spew. He thinks he's better because he's white. Please tell me this ******* does not have fans. I don't see how Swift can be friends with this guy. Or anyone for that matter. Glad he's off the challenge. Go Marie and Robb.
Trey talks about his racist tweets a little..
I wished he would of explained it more. He didn't really say why he tweeted those things.
Here's an interview he did with her during his season where he goes more in detail and gives a bull **** reason.
I wouldn't mind never seeing him on another challenge and I hope he's not at the reunion.

I doubt he'll be there. Usually it's only the finalists and the last few people before the final who end up going -- unless the cast member did something kind of intense and was a big deal or part of a huge plot/story. Trey didn't do that so I doubt he'll be at the reunion. I could be wrong, though.

A toss up. This time I think MTV will invite the whole team.

This.
Most of the viewers wouldn't survive those brutal final challenges :O

What does it matter? We're viewers, we should be able to critique people on tv without getting the "let's see you do it then" mentality.
