THIS IS MY LIST Coral-She made it to the end of challenges so many times, even when she faced being eliminated she managed to overcome it. Sarah(RR campus crawl)-5 gauntlet wins, not to mention that some of those gauntlets were against men. Rachel-She made it to the end 3 out of 4 times on her challenges, and was top dog on her team most of the time. Ruthie-Even tho she didnt win the three challenges she was on I still say shes a great competitor. Jodi-she can get flustered on challenges but out of the three she was on she won 2. Christena-Not only being a replacement on the inferno her only challenge she still was among one of the best. Holly(Latin America)-She just kicks *** period. Mike-He won 2 challenges, his first one and final one. Brad-He always comes up in second but still gives his all C.T.-He starts drama alot but makes it to the end. Landon-On his only 2 challenges he won both. Darrell-4 challenge wins. Wes-Made it to the end on his first one and won the final one he was on. Mark-Great competitor. Derrick-Gives his all every single time. Alton-A beast
I don't know how some of you people can put Mike & Darrell ahead of CT, especially Mike. He was on CT's team on Inferno 1 and CT dominated that challenge and won most of the Life Shields. On Inferno 2, they were both there again but on opposite teams, and CT crushed Mike as well as some other good competitors like Landon, Abe, and Derrick, in every single mission except for like two. Darrell was on both of those Infernos as well, he won both, CT lost both, but CT outperformed Darrell big time in the missions. He beat him at virtually everything. CT is the best combination of size, strength, speed, agility, and brains in these games. There's a reason why he never gets called out. Everybody on his own team knows he'd beat them, and people from opposing teams know that too. I also don't know where this stuff about CT not being smart is coming from. The kid was going to school at UMass Dartmouth for engineering. They don't let idiots into engineering programs period, let alone at UMD. He was the one leading all the discussions before the missions for strategy on Gauntlet 3, he was the one they all looked to for leadership. Forget this talk about Evan being the man of that team. Evan is scared shitless of CT, both in real life and in the challenges.
CT has always been my fave. I love that he is an arrogant, manipulating, dominating, and aggressive in everything he does. He doesn't apologize for who he is. I agree that he is the best male challenger. There are several others that I do like watching and that may not top CT, can still hold their own. With the woman its hard to say because there are girls that performed in the older challenges and then dominate girls that have performed in the newer challenges, its hard to really pick one clear one. But I'm a CT fan.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills listening to these CT backers. I consider the Challenges as a type of sport, slightly above hockey. For those of you who pay attention to sports, there is not a single player considered the greatest in his/her sport that has never won a championship. Here's a small list: Michael Jordan (basketball) - 6 championships Babe Ruth (baseball) - lots of championships (too lazy to research this) Wayne Gretzky (hockey) - 2 or 3 stanley cup championships Joe Montana (football) - 3 championships Pete Sampras (tennis) - 13 grand slams Tiger Woods (golf) - too many championships to count Pele (soccer) - 2 world cups, countless other league titles CT Tamburello (challenges) - 0 wins Am I missing something here or you guys mistaking strong individual skills with being a true #1 player? Great players are those that can elevate their teams to greatness even during the most adverse conditions. CT has never ever everrrrrrrrrr done this. He has all the talent in the world, but without a win he cannot even be up for discussion. It goes against the very fabric of sports. Darrell FTW, bow down and kiss the ring....I believe he has 4 of them.

CT=OJ simpson(IMO) yeah he might have dominated but at the end of the day who gives a f***
CT=OJ simpson(IMO) yeah he might have dominated but at the end of the day who gives a f***
AMEN!
But Darrell was soooooo boring, you know yes the challenges are physically related, but come on its all about entertainment, Darrell doesn't entertain me, CT entertains, The Miz entertains, it is MTV after all, and its a reality show. If we start talking sports figures well sure they don't measure up, but then again it is only a reality MTV show, what do you expect. The Michael Jordans, the Tiger Woods, the Tom Bradys, the Roger Federers they are not. But in my small little world of pure unimaginative, scripted, set-up, scandalous tv they'll do.

What can he do when Coral is moving around crossword pieces & not letting anybody else solve the puzzle? What can he do when Tonya, Tina, and Eric are running their mouths off about how great they are and then passing out from heart attacks 2 minutes into the final mission? The only challenge he lost that was his "fault" was the Duel, and that wasn't even a loss. I just don't get your logic because real sports are different than these challenges. In these challenges, everybody is doing the exact same mission day in and day out and there is an even playing field to compare them on. Just because Mike & Darrell have won a few challenges does NOT make them better individual competitors than CT. CT was on two challenges with both Darrell and Mike, they did the exact same missions and CT blew them out of the water in everything time and time again. End of discussion.
I can see where both of you are coming from- IF Ct were ever on a challenge against some of the other guys, in a strictly Duel format, then yeah he would dominate. HOWEVER as we have seen many times, he is the type of guy who doesn't "play well with others" and I honestly think that's another criteria for being a great player- being a leader and being a team player, which Ct is not.
You know Julie was a great competitor and overall she was one of my favorite castmembers to watch. I loved her. I don't think she was that great because I believe in her first two Challenges she was the one of the first people to leave. After that she never made it to the end. On the gauntlet 2 though she showed up and kicked butt and made it to the end. But all of her older Challenges don't make her look that great.
I take it you don't remember or never watched Extreme Challenge, where she even kicked Emily's ***.... as for BOTS, that was 100% all Melissa getting her kicked off, not Julie- Julie and Ellen were 4th on the mission, just outside of the inner circle. Since then she had a big target on her back, minus the last challenge when she toned it down a bit.
How is noone saying Darrell??? The greatest winner on the men's side this game has ever seen. Going by V1man's characteristics for a good competitor Darrell has strength, balance, speed, agility, tenacity, and I dont remember if he he's good at puzzles. Regardless, the winningest male deserves the #1 spot. 4 for 4 is all anyone needs to point to to prove that Darrell is the best. Name me a male w/ a better track record and I'll give you a ring pop.
oh please...Darrell wasnt all that...did he even compete in any Gauntlet or Inferno ever? He made it to the end because he was cool...period.
Here are my pics for best male and female challengers: Male - Hellooooo this one is so obvious...Theo (I think RR Maximum Velocity was his season? not sure cuz I always thought Road Rules sucked until I watched Latin America). He is a fantastic athlete...I don't think he's been beaten to this day has he?? Female - This one is a toss up between "The Mean Girls"...the trio of Coral, Rachel, and Veronica. If all three were on a non-BOTS challenge together, their team would win. Veronica is a master-manipulator (see the first Gauntlet and Inferno shows) and not a bad performer. Rachel is, as someone said earlier, a monster...you almost cant find a better female athlete. Then there is Coral...I would have to give the honor to Coral because she has the perfect combination of athletics and brainpower. To bad she was through into the "Freshmeat" Cesspool that was Gauntlet 3.
oh please...Darrell wasnt all that...did he even compete in any Gauntlet or Inferno ever? He made it to the end because he was cool...period.
Nope, just that one exile on Fresh Meat Challenge. Darrell holds the title for luckiest castmember on the challenges. He isn't entertaining, but the fact that he doesn't get involved in the drama is the main reason why he's never targeted.

Lol Wut?
As far as the males I am going to say Wes as the best. One thing I value highly is adversity and Wes definitely had some going in especially in the Fresh meat challenge where he was partnered up with arguably the worst female competitor ever in the challenges. Being the primary target and having the carry his partner's dead weight he made it into the final challenge. I dont think any other males would've accomplished what Wes did. The duel was a tough obstacle as well as there is only one winner (male). He had a little leeway this time as he flew under the radar after he beat derrick but as soon as he made it into the final four he used a combination of brain (to manipulate the big guys to take out each other) and brawn to win the biggest cash prize ever won in a challenge (individually). Females are a toss up for me I would say ev for now. If she was paired up with theo they wouldve dominated in FM.
I will agree with you that Wes did well on FM, however, he was a complete ****** to Casey the entire time. I understand that she was a less than stellar partner compared to some of the others, but thats what he got dealt. You wouldnt have caught Evan calling Coral a stupid *****! (Because she doesnt wrestle, she beats******* down- anyone remember that quote?!) When it comes down to it, Wes is a good performer just a bit of a jackbag. (Sorry if this topic has already been covered, I'm new here still)

Sure he is a great competitor, but I there is just something about him that irks me....
I didn't even particularly like Casey, but the way Wes treated her built sympathy with me and totally turned me off to his shtick.
And after he saw the show he apologized to Casey, the cast and fans for being such an ***. He was just the opposite on The Duel. I have respect for Wes' realization of his terrible behavior and know the change in him was real. (For those who don't know, he and I have had business issues, so it somewhat pains me to praise him.)

There was that emotional moment during the Duel that did score him some points in my eyes (and screwing Evan over even more points) - but overall I'd much rather see Abram 1.0 or 3.0 (Dave) than 2.0. ;)

I rather have 2.0 because he has intelligence (strategy wise) then the original. I would say something about Dave but I havent seen him in a challenge yet.
I can tell...lol. I rather have 2.0 because he has intelligence (strategy wise) then the original. I would say something about Dave but I havent seen him in a challenge yet.
Hey, once in awhile I do turn the corner! :D I did say I would give Ev a chance this time around. Three months ago you would have never heard me utter such a blasphemous statement, lol. Wes has a valid place on any top competitor list and showed that he was a closer in the Duel. I have yet to fully engage in this conversation, but my feelings are unless you have "a ring" you can't be in consideration for the top slot on a list of competitors that have won (and this has been widely covered in this thread.) Winners close and losers make excuses as to why they couldn't... That being said, Darrell is not the best challenge male ever. My best analogy would be that of an Offensive Lineman (Pro-Bowl/Hall of Fame caliber) who helped his team win ring after ring. He might be a champion and he might be the best at what he does, but he's no Quarterback - and that is what we are talking about here. Quarterbacks. Studs. Angus. The best of the best. TOP GUN BABY!
I would really like to see a challenge that truly does have the best on it to determine the TRUE top gun, but that'll never happen. Getting Mike (RW), Theo (RR), Adam (RR), Darrell, Abe, Wes, Landon, and Alton on a challenge??? And Coral, Julie (NO), Vero, Rachel (RR), Ev, Aviv, Emily, and Ellen??? While in my dreams that would be AMAZING to watch, because not only are they great competitors but drama starters, it's not going to happen in reality. :(

But, there is no reason that another production company can not do a challenge type show on another network or even via the internet. There are people thinking about how to do exactly this concept.
I have always wondered why they haven't produced a show or managed to get competitive players on one show. It would be much more entertaining watching a show where everybody has the possibility to win.
There are also other factors that prevent dq's statement from becoming true. Age is one example. Most of the competitors past their prime so Evelyn stands a greater chance to beat somebody like Emily. One question, does anybody miss the old days (Ex: Inferno/Gauntlet 1) where the faceoffs was based on willpower instead of the most althetic person?
To me the strongest male would be either CT or Landon. I know Landon only did two challenges, but he won both and was a tremendous asset to his teams in both challenges. CT is for obvious reasons as it seems that there was nothing he ever struggled with. As for the strongest female i would have to say that it's Jodi. She became very smart in how she played the game after the Inferno II and won immunity a good amount of times on female Duel days.
also because in past challenges Darrell always had alliances with ppl to keep himself in the game
To me I think the strongest female was probably Coral, Coral knows how to play the game and she's pretty strong phyically. I think the strongest male is Brad, he has alot of heart. He might not be the strongest one phyically, but he could probably outsmart one of the stronger players (like CT).

That is a good thing as long as people are swayed by it and production is happy with where she takes things. She is not that strong physically, and she occasionally gets inside her own head and consequently makes poor decisions. She is also not a particularly good team player unless everyone around her is on "Team Coral." If she weighs more than 110 lbs, I'd be surprised.
