The next elimination round is a physical guy vs guy and girl vs girl elimination which us awesome. So based off that I think Johnny and Dunbar would have no problem vs Ty because they're both big strong guys and even though Ty beat Abram he obviously had a size advantage over Abram he won't have the size advantage over Johnny or Dunbar. Emily will destroy Paula or Camilla but I love the possible match up between Camilla and Emily.
Even Ty admits that it's not the blackface/racism aspect that annoyed him. It's that it was coming from Emily. And at least they've made up and Ty forgives her, that's really all that matters.
I dont get why the guys were talking Ty into staying he's competition. I'd let him go, even help him pack
Then Johnny would be heading right to the Dome, and the odds of who CT/Diem could pick, would be smaller
The audience laughed at Ty's joke, all racists!!!
This is just stupid... they're beating a dead horse that it isn't even as severe as their making it seem. She did a blackface (does that make sense? I've never heard of a blackface), Ty got all offended, she apologized and regrets it... lets move on. A shame that some people are just overly sensitive to dumb stuff like blackface.
Would you call Camilla putting on a white face racist?
It's the history that's associated with black face that is the big deal here. Camilla putting on 'white face' is not the same thing as what Emily did.

We will not be able to completely move forward as a society as long as people harbor racist feelings. It gets passed down from generation to generation. We can stop addressing these situations, but it will NOT stop people's thoughts and feelings, and even worse, people may feel more justified in what they are doing if no one is telling them it is wrong. Speaking out about these situations helps people understand what is considered unacceptable. Some people say racial things and don't mean anything by them. Once someone lets them know, they learn and stop and are able to do better. I don't think Emily is racist, but I think she did something that upset people and now she understands it was not cool. Now she will be less likely to do something like that and offend someone else.
Why does there even need to be an issue over people's races. Its like the difference between someone having brown hair and someone having blonde hair. People definitely claim "racism" way to quickly though.
Even with Ty saying it wasn't that racist. I think MTV mainly edited to be a racist thing to get viewers talking.
Even with Ty saying it wasn't that racist. I think MTV mainly edited to be a racist thing to get viewers talking.
If it works, it works...guess we'll see if it shows in the ratings tomorrow.
Shouldnt move on, when some don't care to understand.
I'm talking about the Aftershow. Ty and Emily moved on, made up... why beat a dead horse over something so stupid and unnecessary.
I cant wait for the next Dome I think it'll be Dunbar & Paula going against Ty & Emily because Diem wants them to go in and CT doesn't want to **** her off again. I like Dunbar vs Ty because Dunbar is always entertaining when he does anything physical with his grunting and growling. I love Emily vs Paula because of the drama between them in the house but Emily would kill Paula in that elimination. I think it'll come down to Ty vs Dunbar that'll be the real competition in the Dome.
Emily is CLEARLY not a racist. And she obviously was not making fun of Ty being black. And she is obviously apologetic. I dont think it was THAT bad. It was slightly offensive, but as a black person I wasnt offended. I could see why others could be offended but me personally I wasnt offended in the least. It was corny but it was a little funny. And it wasnt even blackface its freaking chocolate. I didnt feel its some big issue. Emily is A Ok with me
If you have not heard of it, take a moment and read up. Then come back and comment with objectivity, understanding the history.
Yeah I know, I just read up on it. Still don't really understand why people are getting so worked up when she didn't mean it in a bad way; simple misunderstanding.
I'm talking about the Aftershow. Ty and Emily moved on, made up... why beat a dead horse over something so stupid and unnecessary.
The thing is most people that understand the topic don't find it stupid or unnecessary.
I'm sick of Johnny winning, and don't want Camila to. so I'm hoping they go in, and go home
The thing is most people that understand the topic don't find it stupid or unnecessary.
Plus this after show gives Emily a chance to explain herself and sort of clear her name, so I think it is a good thing.
Plus this after show give Emily a chance to explain herself and sort of clear her name, so I think it is a good thing.
I normally don't watch the after shows because I feel they are very repetitive most of the time, but this one has kept my attention. For Emily to be able to explain herself was definitely a good thing and I'm glad they started with that instead of with the Diem/Paula bits.
The thing is most people that understand the topic don't find it stupid or unnecessary.
Who doesn't find this whole situation stupid? Seriously? Emily put on pudding to portray Ty who is black. Did she know about blackface? No. Did she mean it in a racist way? No. Sure the slang didn't help at all because, from what we see in interviews, Ty doesn't speak like that at all. The skit was childish, it wasn't funny... Emily clearly isn't a racist and didn't mean it in that way. I guess that's the bad thing about reality tv, you do something ignorant with no bad intentions and you'll still offend many.
Wow, I was shocked when Johnny Moseley's tan face appeared on my television. I really like how this season brought back past Challenges for people who haven't watched the previous ones. Makes me feel like I am a part of something cool that people missed out on.

This show is not exactly cast from the ranks of Mensa so I wouldn't expect consistent, coherent and reasoned arguments from any side of the racism issue from them.

And the people who are accusing anyone who considers blackface racist of being oversensitive, well I think you're coming across as insensitive and ignorant to the historical significance of blackface. So you really shouldn't speak on it. Instead of brushing people off, the key is to try to understand why it's offensive, apologize like Emily did and then we can move on and be considerate from that point on. I think Emily understands now and everyone including Ty knows she isn't racist. It was just a dumb, offensive mistake.

It's a strange situation to find yourself in (on Emily's part), but it meant so much to Ty, which I think doesn't make it stupid. I get that Emily isn't a racist and meant nothing of it, but looking at the situation again, it's definitely not something that I would consider stupid.
Everyone saying Leroy wouldn't have been ******** tweeted: Yeah I would have been ****** too... But he also said Emily isn't racist. She messed up, big deal. I don't know, maybe I'm getting tired of over-dramatic situations completely overplayed on reality tv :laugh4:. Time to find a new form of tv entertainment.
Everyone saying Leroy wouldn't have been ******** tweeted: Yeah I would have been ****** too... But he said Emily isn't racist.
I believe it was only one person, but I'm sure most people in Ty's position would have been just as upset.
