What is wrong with the producers of this show, they release 15 minutes of footage and it's better than the first 15 minutes of the episode. This episode seemed so serious, no down time or partying shown really. They need to find some sort of balance. They had it in the 15 minutes released prior to the episode but completely abandoned it. There should never be an episode called the **** they should have shown, they should just show it.

I like that Dustin is taking jokes about his history in the ******* department in stride.
I was impressed with how Dustin handled the buttseks in the producer's cut as well. I think he realized that if he showed any emotion against it, Johnny and the rest of the guys (minus Dunbar who doesn't have much room to talk, if any) would tear him apart. Smart move on his part.

Don't you mean "tare"? ;)

I honestly thought the first 15 minutes of the actual episode was better than the "producers cut." Mainly because I couldn't get over how people were speaking, but the words we were hearing weren't what they were saying. People complain all the time that they don't show enough competition and they show too much partying. I'm not just talking about you, but when the episode goes the way it normally doesn't people complain as well. I do agree that they need to find a balance, which they really haven't in a while.
With the **** they Should Have Shown episode, I think that ever since they've gotten rid of the dailies that it has been way more enjoyable and they probably shouldn't have shown them in normal episodes because all it is is stupid partying/quotes/funny stuff that aren't good enough to be found in the normal episode (which normally just focuses on drama/game).

My solution to this problem borrows liberally from the old Burt Reynolds/Dom DeLuise movies of the 70s/80s... Use a tighter action edit for the episode itself, and make it slightly shorter by perhaps a full minute. Then, at the end, while running the credits slower at the bottom of the screen, above them appears the "fun stuff--" the out takes and "party" things that fit the particular episode timeline but were not integral to telling the episode story. The end moments were often the one thing that kept me waiting for the end of the movie -- and it's a way generally to give your core audience something they really want.

COnsidering, Dunbar not only did **** but a had a threesome with another guy. LOL
Notes about last night
1.I hate Priscilla
2.Priscilla overestimated her ability
3.Priscilla underestimated Mandi's ability
4.CT/Nate/Vinny/Dunbar have all gained some weight
5.Priscilla and Nate are so fake. All they did all they did at the RWSD reunion was talk about how the 5 (Nate, Priscilla, Alex, Frank, Sam) were so tight and loved each other and blah blah blah and how Zach and Ashley were rude and didnt talk to them. But if you noticed last night Priscilla said that her and Nate were not close on RWSD and didnt talk. So lame.
6.Mandi beat both Nate and Priscilla!!!!
7.Wes needs to learn to keep his mouth shut.
Jasmine is being so annoying towards Tyrie, and coming off like she thinks her **** don't stink, her goal is obviously be as dramatic and extra as possible, and she's doing that well so far..
Camilla looks good but some of the things she says just irritate me, and same for Johnny...
Wes is an idiot. Mandi seems more likeable than usual, they should have shown more partying
I thought the dome was really easy looking, just saying, I know it would get tiring after a while but that doesn't seem like too challenging of a competition at all.. Heather's hot, and the producer's cut was all in the first episode I swear like I had recorded it and kept having to fast forward through parts because I had already seen it all in the 15 minute preview
But I will say that I am just soo pleased that the challenge is being aired again and I have something to look forward to every week!! Its about **** time
Derrick has a theory that Jasmine is doing what she is doing to set things right with her BF and make it ABUNDANTLY clear that she loves him and not Tyrie because Rivals may have gotten her in trouble.
I could see that, still don't like how she is kicking Tyrie in the balls while doing it.

That is a good solution. If I'm remembering correctly they did something like that during the Duel 2. They had funny little scenes at the end, but then again that was when they had dailies and people weren't complaining. No matter what you do, in this industry, there will always be someone who isn't satisfied.

Honestly, I've come to believe that if BMP/MTV had implemented a few of the recommendations that have appeared on vevmo over the years, the would now be closer to "Jersey Shore" style ratings than they otherwise have been able to achieve.
I liked the episode a lot; probably because we saw a lot of the rookies, they weren't just shoved to the side and barely shown.
I feel really bad for Vinny though, it's tough struggling with your weight :(
Rooting for Dustin and Heather!
Vinny was just sad. I don't see how he passed a physical. Glad to see Heather and Dustin not buying into the "We are the vets, resistance is futile" thing, but the look on Heather's face when Johnny was talking about getting addicted to the Challenges was priceless.

I thought her face while he was talking was more from his "when you guys are gone" comment
Also, why is MTV showing ending credits before the episode is over. Like the whole "stay tuned, there's more" snaps.
I am guessing it is so they can bootstrap another commercial break into their online episode. Their ratings press release touting the internet stuff along with a newly created position directing digital media make me think that will be their new focus (i.e. selling point to advertisers).
~So I liked the challenge, testing balance and teamwork. Fairly entertaining.
~I was impressed with Heather and Dustin, glad they did pretty well! Love it when some rookies make some noise!!!
~And when I saw Vinny crossing the beam after rolling in honey, it just made me think of a huge teddy bear lol. It was funny to watch him walking back and forth.
~Poor Nate.......
~Wes needs to learn to keep that mouth shut.
~I also enjoyed the elimination round, good test of balance/coordination and timing as well as endurance.

If Wes kept his mouth shut, he wouldn't get any camera time. I'm absolutely convinced that he and production cooperate for him to give us exactly what he does. He's become a character (if not a caricature) and he plays the role carved out for him. He learned from another former cast member who had a similar relationship with the producers.

So you're saying he's Beth then
So you're saying he's Beth then
One can learn techniques from another cast member without becoming that cast member, even if one were trying. The difference may be that Beth is a classically trained actor who understands the essential timing of improvisation. Wes, although a bright guy, is not particularly creative and he's not studied the craft. My guess is that he spends way too much to constructing "what if" scenarios in his head, mostly related to his last challenge experience and does not adapt to the situation in which he finds himself. I don't think he is capable of matching Beth's ability to very quickly analyze a situation (almost as a out of body experience) and use quick wit and sharp tongue to clearly define a situation for the camera and the audience.
I'm reminded of her on-set work on a film that will finally come out this year, Joe ****. She plays the role of a reality TV executive. She has one extended seen in the film which she did to the director's satisfaction in one take. When I was shooting the "Sexiest Women of Reality TV" shows, I was amazed that she could do her narration and scenes in complete free form in one take almost every time. That is not Wes.
Wes is a company man.
Well said

I only wish he would keep quiet because I used to be such a big fan. I would hope he would be able to get further in the game that way (look at Ruins and FM2, and if Kenny weren't his rival he probably would have been in trouble on Rivals too). And I don't really like the character he is playing. It's great that someone tries to oppose the strong alliance, but the way he acts can make him look really bad.
Is getting more camera time worth making himself a target to miss out on the finals and making the money in the end? So unless he is being payed extra by production to be this character, I don't see how it's worth it (he becomes immediate target every challenge to be voted in) and it makes him look bad which can't help his life outside the challenge.
Maybe it has no effect, but the whole making himself a target by being this character, basically ensures he won't make the finals unless he wins every elimination, or gets Kenny as a partner so he's in an alliance. Maybe he figured him and his partner had no shot against the other couples who were his compeitition, so it was character mode this season. He didn't seem that confident in his team, but yet still is cocky about himself. So he is probably desperate to do anything to give him an edge.
Than again , his character gets him asked back every time so that gives him more chances to make money in the long run so that makes sense thinking about it. Look at Brandon, great guy according to the cast, but he doesn't always get asked.
But also, if he had a better reputation, he probably could have gotten the rookies to side with him, and done some damage. Johnny made reference on ep1 that he will see more elimination rounds so he will have to keep winning to stay there. But no one will listen to him because his reputation proceeds him. So there are definately pros and cons to what he does for camera time.
Oh boy, now MTV's providing gif's!!

I always enjoy a good gif. That challenge wasn't too bad, I saw the water and panicked but it wasn't a water challenge. I really miss the old school low budget ones though where they had you doing military drills in the sand or running though a little obstacle course or something. Cutthroat had some great challenges actually. I also really liked that downhill cart racing one they had in Duel II. They need more racing type challenges period.
I wondered how well they cleaned the catwalk between rounds. Sometimes it looked like it had been cleaned pretty good and sometimes it looked like there was still honey on it from the previous team. Could have just been an editing thing I guess. It would be a bit unfair if some had cleaner paths than others.
