This may be very old news and already mentioned but I saw that Laura tweeted Ashley asking if she had fun at the VMAs. All the winners of Rivals went to the VMAs last year - sooooo.... for anyone out there who still feels San Diego didn't win, I think this may seal it.
Sarah, Devyn, and Trishelle were there also.
Did that Exes preview air on TV or was it just posted on MTV.com? Just curious as to where this will play (if it does at all) because I don't remember. Thanks!
So the 4 people of Brooklyn lost to the 2 people of Vegas? Damn they suck
Sarah, Devyn, and Trishelle were there also.
I'm thinking they stopped filming the challenge around the 20th day and sent half to Istanbul to film The Real World: Istanbul and the other half to Athens. Then the final was Istanbul vs Athens. Athens won, and everyone from TRW:Athens got tickets to the VMAs obviously.

I fear that this season will get lower ratings because of Frank, but MTV will not realize that and think viewers are turned off by the lack of veterans, and think viewers want them back. Frank may single-handedly kill two franchise shows. He makes for awful TV. Huge mistake to cast him, should have gone with Nate, or a different season entirely. DC would have had plenty of drama since Ty left Ashley high-and-dry on rent money. Still don't get why they dumped all of Sydney due to one person. They could have easily replaced that one person with someone from Fresh Meat 1, since it was located in Australia, or less likely, Road Rules: Down Under (the return of Piggy?), or if they want to stretch the region just a bit-- RR: South Pacific, which went to New Zealand. Or just pick a FM2/Camila and throw them with the rest of the remaining Sydney team. The mishmash team they formed threw the Battle of the Seasons out the window anyway, so why not just replace the one person? ugh. Hopefully Frank doesn't lead to the return of the old regulars.

Look at Exes, Sarah was kicked off because of Vinny. Sarah did nothing wrong but they couldn't send in a replacement.
So the 4 people of Brooklyn lost to the 2 people of Vegas? Damn they suck
I imagine making it to the Finals was not easy and 4 people in a hot dessert final as oppesed to 2 I imagine would be even harder to manage.

Obviously I'm assuming with Devyn since we haven't seen her yet...but we've seen what happens to Sarah in a final, plus their guys are JD and Chet...

But that would follow the format as much as sticking two seasons of Vegas together and calling it one based on the original location. Same would apply for Sydney and any of those seasons. If a Fresh Meat IIer with 3 Sydneys, it still follows the format more than the mashup replacement team they made.
Because they have to follow the format. Apparently they couldn't get a replacement for Sydney. Look at Exes, Sarah was kicked off because of Vinny. Sarah did nothing wrong but they couldn't send in a replacement.
That had nothing to do with lack of replacements (to an extent), that was because it was impossible to do a weeks worth of blood work and psychology tests to fly one person in about a week after the show started. Sure Sarah may not have had many options, but it didn't matter even if she did.
Because they have to follow the format. Apparently they couldn't get a replacement for Sydney. Look at Exes, Sarah was kicked off because of Vinny. Sarah did nothing wrong but they couldn't send in a replacement.
The reason Sarah got sent home with Vinny was not because they simply couldn't find someone to replace her. They could have brought on Tyler, someone we know 100% would come back on if called. The reason why they didn't or I should say couldn't bring a replacement for Sarah was because for the first time before a challenge they did psych tests and the test results took a few weeks to get back.
If a Fresh Meat IIer with 3 Sydneys, it still follows the format more than the mashup replacement team they made.
No, that's just as bad and more confusing. At least with he Fresh Meat team they are all rejects of the Real World and appeared on challenges not a season. That's much better thought out than putting a fresh meater with 3 Sydney members or even putting a Road Ruler with 3 Sydney members. It makes sense to me: 7 seasons compete then surprise them by throwing in a wild card team of Freshmeat (Camilla being on SB challenge isn't a big deal). That's what they were going for (it seems). Your suggestions are ridiculous (no disrespect). What they did was fine with me.
Looks like Dustin and Marie didn't get along much either:

It's no more ridiculous than throwing 2 Vegas seasons together. At all. Throwing a bunch of Fresh Meat from different seasons on one team goes 100% against the format.
Mtv is saying theyre close to 10k, I don't believe them, especially since last time it took a couple of days.
So the 4 people of Brooklyn lost to the 2 people of Vegas? Damn they suck
It might be easier with less people, ala The Ruins...
Plus I think Dustin and Trishelle are better athletes than all 4 of the Brooklyn cast. And I guess they're not doing team interviews this time, that's too bad cause I liked those.
And I guess theyre not doing team interviews this time, thats too bad cause I liked those.
And no preshow, possibly since the Exes one didn't rate well....because it got 0 promos
And no preshow, possibly since the Exes one didn't rate well....because it got 0 promos
Yea well most of the challenges don't get preshows, only preshows I've seen were for BOTExes and FM1, they did advertise for Rivals a whole lot, wonder why they stopped? It doesn't really need a preshow but come on give us team interviews, how else am I supposed to know where people's relationships stand and I don't want the BS edited relationship updates they give in the 1st episode.
Mtv is saying theyre close to 10k, I don't believe them, especially since last time it took a couple of days.
Maybe they're counting those who tweet #thechallenge 12 times in one tweet.
Maybe they're counting those who tweet #thechallenge 12 times in one tweet.
Yeah that could be it, I swear I think last time was bull, it took like a week and exes was even trending at one point. I think they only counted tweets to MTV but this time I think just the hash tag is fine. I didn't even realize it aired next week then what about the St thomas reunion?

What in the world is up with all these trash talking on twitter among the real worlders?! Frank and Heather just went at each other! ha!

She's not very good at describing people in one word.
Wow, there is so many people who don't get along from this challenge. Frank's gay comments to Dustin are getting old. Yes, he did gay **** is that all you have against him? I can't stand Frank and he is so obsessed with being involved in the drama.

Like who didn't Frank get in a fight with? Just from the trailer we see him screaming at people. That guy seems to love starting fights.
What in the world is up with all these trash talking on twitter among the real worlders?! Frank and Heather just went at each other! ha!
"Even if he were into dudes, you wouldn't make the cut." Gotta love Marter.
How ironic is it that based of the opinions of hardcore fans the most boring season in Real World history won the challenge for Real World supremacy. Especially after watching the trailer at the STT reunion where TJ said:" I've heard it year after year that your season is the best, now it is time to put up or shut up:" + it was this season that brought the worst duo in challenge history.
