So that's why Marie is still so mad at Sam. Great frienship w\San Diego....not. She apologized to Sam, they still throw her in and won't even throw them a bone in picking the arena...RUTHLESS, lol!
So how do you guys think about Zach's explanation for picking mental was for strategic reasons? I assume he thought if they got rid of it now they wouldn't have to do it in the future. But you know what... there's one elimination left and nobody HAS to select that, there's other eliminations to select from. I personally would get rid of strategy if I were SD if they even feared that they were going in. That's one elimination they (Zach) hasn't "excelled" or seen yet (besides Endurance which I assume is off the board). I'm not understanding fully.
I just think San Diego's reasoning for throwing Robb and Marie in was **** and wrong. They could say it's because they want Devyn in the final, but let's refresh our memories...in the log challenge, which was the best test for the final Brooklyn whooped San Diego's butts WITH Devyn on their team. Since a final caters to more helping hands, and we saw how rough the two person teams had it on that challenge, why wouldn't you want to take the perfect opportunity to potentially be the only four-person team there by throwing in Brooklyn again? They weren't super close with Brooklyn and Robb and Marie actually were in their alliance, why screw them over? I don't get their reasoning at all. And I blame Zach because it seemed to come from him. And his excuse was because Marie assaulted Sam even though that was an accident and she apologized. Give me a break. I can't blame Marie and Robb for being mad. They just looked pretty crazy due to how sloppy and drunk they were with their anger, but I get where the anger is coming from. Marie should have been more mature in their deliberations and basically discussed things in logical terms about why Brooklyn should be in. There was no way Cancun was going in.
Yeah Zach and Sam were totally in the wrong last night. But Marie was drunk and they should've known that and discarded their approach. That's what happens when you get a little money and mission wins in your belt---their ***** get cocky.
Man, a physical challenge would have been awesome. Marie would have demolished Trishelle leaving Dustin vs. Robb which would have been sick.
I completely agree, it would have been MUCH smarter to send in Brooklyn because A) they have been on the opposite alliance for this whole game and b) either Brooklyn loses and then its all 2 people teams vs one 4 person team or Brooklyn beats Vegas and San Diego accomplishes their goal. My biggest issue with it was that they go through all this fake bull**** saying "we want to know what game you want to play in order to win" and then they don't even choose the game that St Thomas wanted. It just makes San Diego look untrustworthy in the end. St Thomas could have been a way stronger team had Trey played smart, I get that you don't want to conform to all the fake bs around you but they were a strong team and based off of how well St Thomas performed with 2 people on their team I would say that had they had all 4 members I could have seen them at a final. Overall Team St Thomas did great for their first challenge, especially Marie and Robb. Hopefully they will be back one day. P.S I will say that Sam should not have got in the way/invovled when Dereck/Nany/Marie/Frank were fighting, that's why she ended up in the plants. Making it seem like Marie intentionally pushed Sam is just a cowards excuse for throwing in STT.
"I feel like breathing in water is harder than breathing out of it." Logical deduction, Robb, seeings as how breathing in water is not possible. Suddenly his failure on the challenge in the previous episode makes a lot more sense. Ya try to breathe in water and suddenly you find that your lungs are filling up with water. I'd be panicked and disoriented my own self. The challenge this episode was fine. It involved tubes and body checking. So Team "A Whales' ******" ended up pulling out the win. Though I'm sure it helped being only one of two teams with all four players left. The loser was a crippled Vegas team, cut in half and left dismembered and molested after the last episode... How are they going to come together and work as a team in the elimination after being at each others' throats last episode? Clearly this is a dysfunctional team, which is the antithesis of the natural team chemistry that St. Thomas (the team being thrown in) has developed from seeing each others' private parts and sexy time.... Maybe if Vegas could just put aside their disagreements and come together, they can have a snow flakes' chance in ****... But that's a tall order, considering how much they hate each oth- They make up in the first 7 minutes of the show. Guess the drama is gonna be at a premium this episode, considering how everyone who is going in accepts they are going in and understand the reasons why. There's totally not gonna be backstabbing or anything, and NOBODY is gonna be sour about being in an elimination. After all, it's pretty late in the game. People have to GO. But wait a tick... Did I say that St. Thomas was the team that got thrown into the elimination in the previous paragraph? Can't be right, they're closely aligned with San Diahgo.... I've got to go over my SHOW NOTES, once more... can't be right...By Jehovah, IT IS TRUE. St. Thomas thrown in by their allies. Marie is understandably upset, because this is the first time in Challenge history that an alliance has been terminated ever. No one has been as thoroughly burned and mistreated as Marie. When she cried, I did too a little. I can't think of a single doe-eyed, precocious Challenger that has been so betrayed. And Frank was behind it. Yes, he fought for Brooklyn to go in. Yes, he was the lone vote in favor of giving a reprieve to St. Thomas. Yes, he explained to Marie that it was not his decision and it was completely out of his control and that his team absolutely overruled him. But TEAM FRANK IS NOT A DEMOCRACY **** IT! So Marie is totally ****** at Frank. Good thing her wrath is only reserved for one person. She's not going to get drunk and throw a ****-fit and alienate everybody in the game. She's gonna play it cool and remember that she has an elimination to prep for. She's one of the toughest girl competitors out there, according to her mouth. Right? Right? After disowning Frank as a friend, Marie decides to go for broke. Clearly Team San Diego is not the only problem here. It is everyone not named Marie or Robb. So Marie's all like, "Everyone in this house sucks. Suck my ****, etc. Fake, etc. Corny, etc." Marie even threatens to take down Big Zach! OH NO SHE DID NOT. NOT BIG Z. Zach appropriately responds by saying he'd kill her man. 'Cause the only way to properly threaten a drunk girl who is threatening you is to threaten the man she's with. Back at the house, Marie's going buck wild. Telling the ever talkative JD to shut up after Chet says something to her, going at Sam, going at Derek, going at Frank. HURRICANE MARIE WILL NOT BE DENIED. NOT TONIGHT. For some reason Derek and Robb start arguing. Robb promptly tears off his shirt revealing his rippling, stick-like physique. He's ready to throw DOWN. But you know, nothing happens. Nobody's been punched in the face since Brad on The Ruins. Don't even bring up Adam in Rivals. That was not a punch. That was raging wrist-flailing that happened to brush Ty on the face. Every single almost-fight since then has been nothing but bluster and wasted testosterone. and cam-whoring. That's all there is to it. Onward to the elimination. It's a mental challenge, involving the mentally strenuous act of memorization while being held up by a cable connected to a pulley that allows the male teammate to climb a rope upside down under water. NOTHING PHYSICAL ABOUT IT, I SWEAR. Robb avoids trying to breathe under water, which makes it a much closer game than it would have been if he had tried to breathe under water. But Dustin is an AMPHIBIAN, who owns one of these things in his backyard. And Tris****e is a POKER PLAYER, which gives here an advantage over Marie who excels at talking a big game and YELLING AT PEOPLE. Las Vegas lives to fight another day, and Team St. Thomas is gone. But wait, the episode is not over... A clue from TJ? Just what the **** is going on? Wait, they're going to Namibia? OH MY GOD, THEY'RE GOING TO NAMIBIA. Never, in the history of Challenges have they moved from ONE LOCATION TO ANOTHER. It totally didn't happen in the two Challenges preceding this! THIS IS CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION. NAMIBIA, WHAT WHAT?! Seriously though, Namibia what? Where is it? ****, WHAT is it? Tris****e speculates that it could be an animal, or a state of mind. I understand her confusion. Both Namibia and Nirvana start with the letter 'N'. No one seems to know that it is in Africa, except for Chet. Chet is the Challenges' experiment at bringing a person of normal mental faculties and no personality disorders into a house full of alphas with without such trifling things as inhibition, humility, perception, or self-awareness. That's all I have to say about that.
Derek, you have done absolutely nothing. Robb would knock you out in a physical challenge. You were just being carried by CJ and Jonna the entire time. Oh. and need I remind you how you did on Cutthroat? So please, SHUT UP. No one wants to hear you. Sad to see Robb and Marie go, they were really ... interesting. Brooklyn!
Thank. you. sir
I thought the next episode was the final so the show would be done on December 19th not the 26.
19th.
I think this is the most they've ever showed of an elimination round
Agreed
I can't even spell where they are heading to.
Namibia
As if none of them had heard of Namibia, I mean there are a lot more obscure countries out their in the world. Obviously If Robb was still there then he would have told them where it was located, after all he knows that its easier to breathe outside of the water rather than in the water.
People in their 20s seem to forget their world geography haha
Trishelle: "Is it an animal?" Yes Trishelle you are going to an animal for your next challenge ...
So how do you guys think about Zach's explanation for picking mental was for strategic reasons? Zac has already won a "Mental" challenge so he should be much more afraid of the "Strategy" challenge, which is imo one of the two great equalizers (the other being "Endurance"). Could have been just an excuse to screw ST after Marie's outburst. My exchange last night with my wife: Me: Wow, they just picked the one game Robb didn't want to participate in. Didn't he just stink it up last week in a daily event involving holding your breath? Wife: Yeah he sure did. (laughs out loud) Me: What a **** move! Sucks for him... Guess they wanted LV to stick around after all.
San Diego's strongest gamesmanship action here would have been to put in Cancun, regardless of how buddy-buddy they are. They already know certain things to be fact: 1. The final will involve cardio 2. Generally you have to finish as a team, making you only as strong as your weakest link. 3. Sam has demonstrated she's not the most reliable person when you have to run, and noone knows for sure if the final is going to be something that will allow Zach/Frank to carry her. 4. Trishelle & Dustin are both better than Sam. 5. Jonna & Derek are both better than Sam. 6. Every other team has someone who is likely worse than Sam whom will hold them back in a final. Hence, pitting LV against Cancun is a win-win for SD, and they could throw the winner of those 2 teams in again next week if they win power team.
Things turned out ok for them in the end anyway though, so what the **** do I know about strategy?
---------------------------------------------- Probably my favorite moment of the season so far: {Cast learns they are going to Namibia} {Viewers see cast acting excited and an especially exuberant Zach jumping up and down while squealing in glee} Me to my wife: Does Zach even know where Namibia is? On Cue, a Zach confessional: "Uh, where the heck is Namibia?" Outstanding...
Sorry to see Robb\Marie leave. "Sorry babe." :( aw, Robb is such a cutie. San Diego is stupid, the final is probably gonna have a lot of running. Keep the chainsmokers around to give you a better chance at the top spot. Let Sarah\JD take out Vegas. Sam annoys me, Marie apologized and did not even mean for that to happen. In the podcast she even said that Derek was covering up Sam so she did not even know she was there.
When watching next week's preview, did anyone else die laughing when Devyn said, "We're going to Africa...the homeland!" God I love her.
Frank cries too much. Marie acted like a fool this episode. Everyone in the arena was very calm, it was so different. Funny how Jonna hated Camilla for "****ing her way to the top" on Rivals, and now she's doing the same thing, maybe even worse. Editing makes Zach seems like the dumbest player/leader ever. Last week he said their choice was strictly based on performance, when it clearly wasn't. This week he nominates St. Thomas and acts like they want to get rid of Vegas, but then he picks their least favorite elimination. But for some reason I feel like he had other motives, they just didn't show it. This episode was repetitive. Enough of the drunken outbursts already. ****it, I want everyone who's there to be in the final.
I was wondering if I heard that correctly last night. :wacko2: I keep seeing Marie's face at that moment looking so confused, or maybe it was my own.
It was obviously a joke. Did you people really fail to see that he was joking when talking about his strategy?

Camilla was Jonna roommate in Rivals and since she didn't want the affair to come to light (on camera) the guys and Camilla threatened Jonna. Stupid considering everyone knew about it.
It was obviously a joke. Did you people really fail to see that he was joking when talking about his strategy?
I guess I did fail to see it, however I was halfway paying attention, and that line just caught me off guard and regained my attention.
It was obviously a joke. Did you people really fail to see that he was joking when talking about his strategy?
Doubt it, he had no sense of humor on St. Thomas, so why would he suddenly develop one now. He has always come across as pretty dumb however. I'd just like to take this opportunity (before I forget he ever existed) to say that I hope he never comes back on the show. He is completely average, and offers nothing.
I need Marie on every single Challenge from here on out but Also poor JD.
I need Marie on every single Challenge from here on out.
I used to love Marie, but picking on poor defenseless JD is not on.
San Diego made a COMPLETLY stupid *** move. WHY did they not throw in Brooklyn? Wouldn't it have made more sense to send the only other team that has four members in it to cut them down? Wouldn't it benefit them to potentionally be the only team with four members since the Final Challenge is Probably going to cater to four-person teams? Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. I was definetly on Marie and Robb's side. I mean they get throw in for basically no reason at all and then they don't pick The Arena they wanted. That was just Cold. And the thing about it is all of that could've been avoided had they just THROWN IN ******* BROOKLYN! I liked the challenge. But the one thing that I don't understand is why didn't everyone just gang up on San Diego? That would've made more sense I think. Derek...Um okay Robb and Marie may not have won a challenge but they won an Arena. So they HAVE won something. And with the way that whole thing went down I would've been ****** off too. She wasn't scared of going in..It's just San Diego Dicking them over when they had no real reason to. I'm glad that Dustin and Trishelle got over the Drama, Came together and won That Arena. Although I am Sad that Robb and Marie are gone. They went out with a bang I must say. Next Week...NAMBIA BABY!
But this isn't the first I'm seeing Jonna seeking for male attention.
Ummm--women often seek male attention. I don't understand why Jonna's singled out for this. Look at the countless hookups on the challenges. Derrick even hooked up with Aneesa. Jonna didn't hook-up with anyone during her last season--see liked Zach--really not a big deal
I don't want to watch without Robb and Marie! Well they made it far for rookies. San Diego made a dumb move because they could have been the only four person team. If it wasn't for Devyn, I wouldn't watch the next two episodes, but I love Devyn. And I'm still sad that Robb and Marie broke up and are not cool anymore. Especially through a stupid text.
Yeah they did. So did the other 9 rookies who are still there...
Ummm--women often seek male attention. I don't understand why Jonna's singled out for this. Look at the countless hookups on the challenges. Derrick even hooked up with Aneesa. Jonna didn't hook-up with anyone during her last season--see liked Zach--really not a big deal
Exactly. Also, the girl liked the guy and went after him, she still competes and has not gotten a free ride at all. What's the harm in her and Zach's relationship? About the episode, really enjoyed it. Love physical missions and Derek really annoyed me last night. Even if I am Team Cancun, Marie made a great point about Cancun not even being brought up. I hope to see Marie back and Robb (if he shows up in good shape). I predict a physical elimination next week and let's go Cancun, Vegas, and Brooklyn!
I used to love Marie, but picking on poor defenseless JD is not on.
Athough I'm not completely excusing her, she was really drunk. I mean come on she went after Zach. And a drunk Marie tends to lash out at ... anyone.
Something about Frank makes me..sad. I just want to hug him. His confessionals always make him seem like a *******, but when he was crying about Marie, it actually seemed real for the first time
Robb was def kidding. I think people who would think otherwise either don't have a sense of humour or are just looking to bring someone else down, it was deadpan obvious humour. No person in their right mind would grow up to 20 some years of age believing they can breathe in water. Its stupid to think that because he drinks water doesn't he? He has to to live. Right? Do you honestly think Robb went his whole life thinking he could breathe water? Really? Obvious joke is obvious, just cause he said it with a straight face, I mean saying it with a straight face makes the joke funnier its how I say my jokes. I honestly can't believe anyone took him seriously. I think another reason they put st thomas in was yeah she push sam but in the challenge marie helped brooklyn eliminate san diego. I still think they should have put brooklyn in. Dumb. It was dumb of them. But we'll see. I think san Diego is gonna win regardless.
Yeah they did. So did the other 9 rookies who are still there...
Haha, true. But they are the rookies among the rookies - the more recent cast just fresh off a season.
