Who would win in a gulag? Tori or Camila?.... Camila hands down
I'm actually leaning towards Tori. She reminds me of KellyAnne: tough and quick.
I understand why people are critiquing Brad and Tori this challenge, but the guy has lost so many I think he just wants one, and she's obviously going to support her husband. It's nothing personal, he just needs ONE!
I'm still a Brad and Tori fan, but I don't really like that they are just going to ride on other people to the finale..
She ruined who wins the final? Thanks for the heads up, because I don't want to know. I was about to finish watching the CC. Maybe MTV will have that edited out in the next couple of days.
What part did she say it at? I would like to hear the rest of it.
Jenn easily played it off but it was obvious when Tyler started laughing and Cara Maria did too. Can't they get sued for spoiling the ending? She doesn't say who wins but she says who DOESN'T.
Kinda messed up about what Paula and Tori did to Mel :(
Nah, Mel doesn't belong here - she should have been gone on week 1.
YES! Johnny speaks against Tori. I loved that clip.
Yep, that was funny. Although as much as I dislike Tori, Camille made a really dumb move. "Hey guys thanks for saving me...by the way, I voted for you."
I loved watching Emily win. Unlike Ty, she seems to be the real deal - a top tier girl.
I'm getting annoyed with Tori and Paula.
Paula - I'm embarrassed for her, she's making an *** of herself.
Tori - she's more ****** off than Brad is about the whole Camila situation, which is kind of weird, to me. Brad even said himself, "I don't really care, I'm just not gonna vouch for her anymore."
The Red Team is making horrible decisions, throwing their 2 best players in again and again.
Seriously, everyone else is a pretty weak player, as far as I can tell. Or maybe not weak, but certainly not strong competitors, either.
Jenn easily played it off but it was obvious when Tyler started laughing and Cara Maria did too. Can't they get sued for spoiling the ending? She doesn't say who wins but she says who DOESN'T.
MTV obviously doesn't care, because it wasn't edited out.
MTV obviously doesn't care, because it wasn't edited out.
Just what I was thinking--they could have easily edited it out.
As for Tori vs. Camila...I say Camila, only because Tori seems like the kind who would get so ****** at getting voted in that she would just shut down. She's physically capable, but gets so worked up about getting sent into an elimination that she wouldn't keep her mind on the game. Kind of like Jodi--good in missions, bad in eliminations.
Poor Brandon. I don't know what Dunbar has done to prove he belongs there more than Brandon does. Good for TJ for sticking up for him. Hopefully we'll see him again in a setting where he doesn't have to constantly be proving himself. I would hope by now, he's earned the respect of people, it sure look like he earned Derrick's respect. Tyler and Dunbar (combined 1-4 in 1-on-1 eliminations) really need to show why they belong.
Camila, you should have just kept your mouth shut. And Jenn and everyone else on the blue team can stop it with the pity party for Camila. Getting lost in all of this is that Brad, Tori, and Paula all promised her that they would not vote her in this past elimination, and they held up their end of the bargain. Camila is really in no position to be ragging on what she perceives as Brad's sub-par performance, especially after Brad protected her this time around. Why bother telling Brad that you voted for him, did she really think any good was going to come out of that?
The Jenn/Paula fight was so stupid. And Jenn is so full of ****. Like she wouldn't be voting for Brandon and Camila every time? If Brandon had been on their team instead of Ty, they would have tried to ride him to the end. And she's seriously ragging on Paula on never winning? You're 0 for 5 Jenn, and you've never even come close to winning. I'm tired of Jenn's mouth.
The Gulags were pretty entertaining, but I figured Emily and Derrick had it all along. We all know Derrick is a beast when it comes to physical eliminations, and it was great to see that throwback side of Derrick again. It was also great to see Derrick volunteering himself. Of course, we know this means that Johnny is without question going in next time they lose.
The red team's cushion is now gone. It's going to be interesting to see how their voting shakes out now on the guys' side. My guess is that it'll be Dummy Bear's turn next time. This has the potential for some good matchups on the guys' side now. Abram/Dan/Luke, Johnny/Derrick, Brad/Tyler/Dunbar.
Get CT in here already! Stop teasing all of us!

I would've thrown Dunbar in there after the first Gulag that Brandon won. Look at The Island, where Dunbar was mere days from eating all the women left on the island, if he didn't get his 5000 calories a day. He's big, but he's dense and not a great competitor. The only strong girls on red are Tori and Camila and instead of praising Camila, they're ******* her left and right in not so much fun ways. I don't blame her one bit for voting for Brad. It's not the Brad & Tori show. As for Chet, he's useless anyway and was dead weight.
Jenn, if you look at her past arguments, seemed to have taken it easy on Paula and walked away. I didn't think either were right. Paula looked drunk and tired and depressed and Jenn, well, she doesn't take anyone's **** and that's part of why she's one of my favorites. I don't think blue team would have sacrificed Brandon, because they watched him win a Gulag already and were more focused on the challenges so far, over choosing who was going in. They trimmed their fat and I could see them keeping Brandon, if he was on the blue team. And Jenn has come close to winning. She was in the runner-up boat on The Island and took 3rd in Fresh Meat 2 (after busting her *** the night before) and has always finished above the halfway mark (as far as memory serves). Plus, she's been in Infernos and Duels and come back from them, while Paula's track record in elimination rounds isn't as good. As a competitor, I'd place Jenn above Paula. Strategy, I'd put Paula above Jenn, just because Jenn doesn't kiss people's ***.
Personally, I'd love to see Johnny Bananas get his *** handed to him in a Gulag to kick that ego of his a bit. After The Island, I'd rather see any guy except him win.

Brandon was not the best player on the Red team, Brad is alot better than him. I feel kinda bad for Brandon but he is still new to the challenges and wasnt friends with the others on the team. Yeah he did win 3 times, but against Derek, JD and Ty, who arent exactly the best players in the world.
I agree that Tyler and Dunbar (and Chet, if he was still there!) definitely need to prove what they have to offer. Camila should have kept her mouth shut, but she didn't do anything wrong in her vote. Brad and Tori didn't "protect" her this time, they voted her in TWICE before! By putting in Melinda, they're finally doing something to help their team get stronger. As for Jenn's fight with Paula, I agree she's taking it a little far, but she has a point--blue team put in the people they thought were weakest, not the ones who weren't their friends. They voted in Easy before Ty, right? And yeah, Johnny had better JUMP into that next Gulag when the Blue team doesn't win.

Paula was also in said runner up boat, and they got smoked. Jenn also finished 4th (not 3rd), a distant 4th on FM2, and finished the final on a helicopter. So like I said, not even close. And I put absolutely no stock in finishing above the halfway mark on a Challenge. Casey, widely considered to be the worst competitor ever, has finished above the halfway mark in 3 of the 4 Challenges she's been on. I just don't get why Jenn had the audacity to make fun of Paula for being 0-for-7 when at 0-for-5 she's almost as pathetic and unlike Paula hasn't come close to winning a final mission.

Eh, I really don't know about that. Everyone says that they'd play it differently if it were them, but as soon as they're given the chance, they switch it up.
For example, if the blue team loses one more girl, do I really think that Jenn would choose herself to go into the Gulag? No way. She'd vote in Theresa or Emily over herself, regardless of if they've been kicking *** and taking names in missions and Gulags.
If Brandon were on the blue team, he would have been the fat over Derrick and Johnny. If Chet had come back, I can see the red team voting him in over Brandon to give Brandon a break. If Brandon were on the gray team, he might have been given a break while they vote Luke in.
But at this point in the game, regardless of his performance thus far, Brandon is, unfortunately, considered the fat.

I'd love to see Johnny vs. Dunbar in the next Gulag. Who wins? The viewers!
Brandon isn't the fat--he's the sacrificial lamb. I'm sure Jenn wouldn't pick herself to go into the Gulag next, but considering how unified their team now is, I think she would volunteer to go in after Theresa, and not send in Emily again (unless Theresa or Emily messed up the mission).
I'd love to see Johnny vs. Dunbar in the next Gulag. Who wins? The viewers!
**** I don't want Johnny to see the finish on this one, but I would LOVE for Dunbar to lose to Johnny again.

That's true. Brandon just had the misfortune of being on the red team, who wanted to keep their clique together. And yeah, molds, you're right, I don't see her voting herself in when Emily and Theresa are still on the team AND I do think it was ****ty that Katie kept getting sent in, so yeah. But with how the teams are looking now, unless Tori has a meltdown, I think she could hold her own against everyone left except Laurel. Easy was dead weight, unfortunately, and after Gauntlet III, I'd be a little nervous about keeping him around, too.
I don't know--it sucks that Katie kept getting sent in, but in their minds (not that I agree), she was a liability. I personally think Theresa should have gone in first, but it would have been hard to justify that when Theresa was clearly outperforming Katie on that day's challenge.

If by your opinion that brad's the best on their team then I guess but that's nowhere near a fact. Brad doesn't stand out. I've never seen brad do anything that stands out to me. And maybe someone can refresh my memory but I've never seen brad win an elimination or a good performance without a DQ of the other player(Duel 1 vs CT). I feel brad is overrated physically but that's my opinion. And I agree with you on who brandon went up against isn't worth brag about, who exactly did brad beat to make him this good of a player??? And don't say vs landon in duel 2 because he used a cheap shot in throwing landon's ring. You never saw anyone, not even the girls, used moves like that.

I disagree molds, I think the votes would've changed on the blue if brandon would've been picked. Derrick may play a game slightly similar to johnny but I can see him compromising and you forget the girls have a vote too. I guess I'm using evidence from the friendship brandon and derrick are showing on twitter (it's like they talk ALL DAY..kinda 'cute' haha) and johnny even said it'd be stupid to keep sending him in.

It's easy to say they wouldn't do it when Brandon is not on their team, but Blue was essentially already doing it. They sent in Katie three times and Eric twice. Granted Brandon is much better than both Katie and Eric but Blue Team wasn't playing the game much differently. Not to mention they stated in this very episode that had Ty won, he would've kept going in until Derrick or Johnny had to, so yeah I don't think it's that much different.
That still doesn't make it any easier to justify putting in someone who clearly outperformed her that day in the Gulag. But yeah, I think seeing Katie vs. Melinda would have been fun--it would have been a lot more evenly matched than Melinda vs. Emily!
YESS! Finally, the old Derrick is back! He kicked some major ***! I was so nervous for that Gulag, but he killed it.
For the rest of the episode:
- I feel kinda bad for Chet, although I don't really like him that much. He was just hoping for a free ride to the finish. He wouldn't have made it to the end anyway, I'm convinced of that. But poor way to leave a challenge
- About the mission: The Red Team... What is there to say honestly. I have never seen a team with such few athletic skills thinking they are the best out there and then screw up! I mean come on:
* Brad is a great competitor. Earlier in this thread there was someone stating Brad sucked at elimination rounds. The biggest BS I've ever heard:P How many people can say they've beaten Landon 1 on 1?
* Dunbar is just a pathetic athlete who hasn't shown ANYTHING on 4 challenges! But for some reason, maybe because he has some muscles, he thinks he is God's gift to the challenges. Ugh
* Tyler seems better now than in previous challenges but I still don't take him seriously. He doesn't have the competitiveness to beat a strong player
Alright, let's go on with the mission. Blue team did reasonably good(I didn't think it was as great as they thought, though) and there comes Abe who crushes Blue's hopes on winning the mission. Great job, Abe!
I don't think there is a need to say anything about the whole Camila vs. Team Red thing, because enough has been said and I think most people agree that Tori is acting stupid and so is Brad. Look at Tori's face when she's saying "She disgusts me" about Camila. PSYCHO ALERT!
The Gulags:
Melinda vs. Emily:
Emily kicks *** as I had expected. Great job. Nice girl btw
Brandon vs. Derrick
I think some of you expected an epic battle, but when I saw they were gonna do handcuffs, I knew Derrick had this in the bag. Must say Brandon put up a great fight though and I really hate to see him go home. He definately made the challenge athletically, and he's way better than most of the guys on the Red Team. But don't worry, he'll be back and kick some more ***:D

It's easy to say that when you're on the other team...
If it were the case (and the hypotheticals aren't going to get any of us anywhere), I don't think Johnny would ever vote Derrick over Brandon and he has too much pride to ever vote for himself. As much as Jenn has butted heads with Johnny and Derrick, she at least knows that they're capable of winning a challenge, something she has yet to do. Theresa's just boppin' around doing whatever everyone else does. Emily is just kind of going along with things too because she doesn't really have a choice.
Brandon's major disadvantage is that this is a) only his second challenge and b) he has not competed in a final challenge so people don't know what he's capable of.

Another big disadvantage for Brandon is he came into the challenges as Katelynn's partner on FM2 and she performed horribly, which would have gotten him kicked out of the game eventually, even if she hadn't been injured.
I haven't seen anything impressive from Theresa at all so far and Emily gets it by size alone. But yeah, it's easy to say what I'd do differently not being in the situation. The red team should be losing more people than grey or blue and they're not, which is interesting to watch. I expected blue and grey to sweep everything and red be put down fairly quickly.
