What?! How could Tina not drag that scrawny bag of nothing across the dirt?
IMO, Tina has never been much of a competitor. She was always good for some drama though.
IMO, Tina has never been much of a competitor. She was always good for some drama though.
I completely agree. Didn't she have to be carried part way in the final of Inferno 2?? I've just never seen it either. She's definitely more bark, way less bite.
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this but the opening credits feature the last 5 members of each team. Interesting how that worked out.
IMO, Tina has never been much of a competitor. She was always good for some drama though.
I agree, and she's pretty good at puzzles. Plus, Theresa's got a height advantage and that can really make the difference. It's hard to control someone who's got half a foot on you and extra inches adds weight, so even though Theresa is skinnier than Tina (not by much, Tina's just shorter) they probably weigh close to the same.

Just so anyone who does not want to be spoiled knows do NOT watch the sneak preview for next week on mtv.com as it basically gives the gulag outcome away. I read spoilers a long time ago so it was fine but I don't want anyone who hasn't to be spoiled.
I actually think Tina is a good competitor for the most part, aside from the Inferno 2 final mission. Can't remember how she competed on The Gauntlet (aside from losing the gauntlet against Coral). I didn't remember paying much attention to her on that one.
Can anyone find the Cutthroat Confessional on mtv.com? I can't seem to find it.
Boring episode. Theresa did better than I thought really. And Laurel and Sarah just want to make Cara Maria a scapegoat. I get it, it's to keep the attention away from them. I'll agree Laurel is a better competitor, but they are hating a little too hard when they say Cara Maria has flat-out sucked. I think she's a good competitor!

Tina makes for great, entertaining television, but other than her work with the puzzles on FM 1, I haven't seen a season where she really came into her own or beat anyone at anything.
I just expected a way scrappier Tina. Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing her physically battling anyone in any of her challenges, but I do think she is a great competitor.
I'm sorry but if you lose to Teresa, you suck. "I'm here for pride." No, you're probably there for money and because Ev wasn't available. Either way having both people face the same person is unfair. Rest or not the second player has a huge advantage.
LOL is Tina really that bad? I find it hilarious that they brought her back making her look so big and bad and then she loses to Theresa in 13 minutes. HAH
Laurel is so nasty! Wow. She's just a mean person. I love Abe. He's such a character. I need next weeks episode NOW!! CT is such a beast. I got goosebumps when he showed up (embarrassing). I want to see him pulverize Johnny asap
I have to disagree. Tina makes for great, entertaining television, but other than her work with the puzzles on FM 1, I haven't seen a season where she really came into her own or beat anyone at anything.
Watch Battle of the Sexes 2.
im surprised they brought in tina. She's honestly never done anything that made you say wow, and was a main reason the ******** lost on Inferno 2. I'm not saying she's a bad competitor, but she's not elite either It would have been a much bigger shock bringing in Rachel or Evelyn
With each episode they only show the people still in the game in the intro.
OH! I had not noticed. Thanks for clearing that up!
oh and why would Sarah and Laurel entertain the idea of throwing that challenge? That's just stupid.
I don't think Tina is a horrible competitor but she's nothing I'd be shaking in my boots over. Like I said before, Tori is overrated. I don't give two ****s what other competitors say either.
I have to disagree. Tina makes for great, entertaining television, but other than her work with the puzzles on FM 1, I haven't seen a season where she really came into her own or beat anyone at anything.
That's fine, but I saw her as one of the best female competitors on BOTS2, and she competed well on Inferno 2 except for the final. She was also OK on FM. So that is why I see her as a good competitor. And that's my opinion. She did beat Robin in an inferno (this is when Robin was considered a decent competitor by a lot of fans coming off of BOTS2), and she did very well in the first mission of BOTS2 - she hung on the bags for a long time and did well, it's just that Abram was the last person up there with her, and he's definitely competition. She also stood out on the other individual mission on BOTS2, which only a few women on that team did. I understand that seeing CT, one would automatically think they got the best. So seeing Tina, one would think she isn't as dominant as CT, but I think she was a good choice if we just think of them getting top competitors, instead of "the best."
Considering they are calling CT and Tina the Heavy HITTERS and showed clips of them hitting people, I think it's more likely they brought them back because of their reputation as aggressive people and not necessarily as the biggest overall Challenge threats.

Personally... I think they picked Tina because they had to. If CT got to come back, in any way, after what he did.. Tina would need to be able to do the same. It's probably just a legal situation.
oh and why would Sarah and Laurel entertain the idea of throwing that challenge? That's just stupid.
What's wrong with strategizing and considering all options? They already know they are teamed up with fools/bad players, and getting rid of one before the finale might just be a good plan. I'm more annoyed with MTV choosing to show so much of their thoughts when they decided not to go through with it. Surely there was something more interesting happening.

I think the seasoned competitor/old school thing helps some, too.

She's a Division I athlete and though I don't view Cara Maria as a weak competitor, Laurel is an athlete and she does have a competitive nature. She isn't going to be okay with anyone not giving 110% in ANY competition. That's why she didn't throw the challenge this week, too, because she is a sports(wo)man. At the end of the day, Laurel wants to win and she wants a strong team to go to the final. I don't think if Cara Maria hadn't gotten with Abram, that Laurel would ride her as hard as she does. People give her **** for doing the same exact thing that guys have been doing since the beginning of challenges. Look at the guys on Gauntlet 3 "trimming the fat". That's no different except that Laurel's yelling louder than anyone, so it draws attention to her.

An angry-looking Beth. But even Tina is ok, just for that look on Tori's face! Gosh, she looked like the ********* was coming after her! I'm proud of Laurel for realizing how stupid it would be to throw the challenge and put aside her anger for the moment to win it...and then throwing it in Abram's face. And it sucks that he just blows it off like it's no big deal. She does need to let it go at some point, but it's easier when someone just acknowledges when they wronged you (in his reasoning for voting her in, not actually putting her in).
I think Abram did a good job. Even if he didn't outright say "I'm sorry for picking you to go in." he did acknowledge he knew she was upset. Besides, Laurel is acting like a huge baby. You got put in, you came out of it the winner, get over it. Besides, Abram is the reason the Gray team has done so well. Yes with help from the others here and there but what would the Gray team be without him?

Lots of fans can't stand them now because of it. I know where Laurel's coming from, and I was on her side when Abram rattled off that excuse to save CM (that actually made me sympathize with her - why Abram?). But throwing a mission would not be in her best interest, nor is forever completely fuming about what happened. Just keep it in mind and use it for the future voting. Spin the situation into your favor. Plus CM doesn't deserve the attitude towards her that much.
lol has anybody been reading Jemmye's tweets while watching this episode? She is not a Tori fan, let's just say that.
