What I find funny is how on Seasons everyone loved and adored Devyn, but now everyone is calling her annoying and rehearsed. Either way, I still love Devyn!
I noticed in one of the rounds that Jessica was "punching" the ball out of Cara's grip. I wonder what would have happened if Cara moved the ball out of the way and Jessica ended up punching Cara in the face instead.
I think some props need to be thrown Leroy's way for how he handled his elimination. That may have been some of the best sportsmanship I've seen on the show. Zach is historically a sore winner/loser, CT and Johnny both have their moments depending on their opponent but there's Leroy pulling Cohutta to his feet every round and going on about how tough he was. You can say what you want about his game strategy but that type of personality combined with the athleticism...he's someone I'd want on my team any day.
What I find funny is how on Seasons everyone loved and adored Devyn, but now everyone is calling her annoying and rehearsed. Either way, I still love Devyn!
The difference from being on a four person team to being solo is showing.

Leroy is very humble person. He handles his losses and wins extremely well. Props to Leroy

Leroy seems like a really stand up dude. I'd also like to comment on his strategy during the elimination. He knew Cohutta's strengths are his speed and quickess. Leroy was able to take those away by tightly defending the basket. If Leroy came out even a foot to try to tackle Cohutta that would have opened the door for Cohutta to put a move on him. Leroy played it smart by letting Cohutta come to him and all he had to do was use his obvious size and strength advantage to take out Cohutta.
Back with another recap of episode nine of The Challenge, and it's sinking in that we're getting so close to the end. In fact, we're probably three episodes away from a finale and I want to cry already. I really love Challenges, you have absolutely no idea. If they cancelled Real World and left The Challenges, I'd be completely fine with how everything turned out. Meet Team You're F***ed. Nany & Cohutta = Adorbs. Adorbs is the least manly thing I could think of ever, but if you don't get fuzzy butterflies seeing the opening to this show where Nany's applying make-up to Cohutta, then you're obviously some black-hearted ogre who's never experienced love.
Cohutta: I'm gonna have to move to one of the blue states now. Nany: What's a blue state? Cohutta: Oh god...
That's just cute, and gold. But of course, nothing lasts forever in The Challenge. Especially love. Love is one of the first causalities of The Challenge, and Cohutta eventually is sent into the elimination round. Dangit. Laurel's a horrible friend, but I get it. Considering Jordan's been thrown out the game, the next big villain up to bat is Laurel -- who leaves her emotions way behind in the rear-view mirror when she's playing this game, especially a game where it's hers to lose and there's no one who could possibly stop her. During the bed scene where Laurel tells Cara Maria to "shut the f*** up", I kind of get it. Laurel is weighing her options of the girls she doesn't want to throw in, but she knows that she's eventually going to have to send them in any way. The only reason Cara Maria is not one of the four mentioned is because she's not even thinking of remotely sending her in to the elimination. Laurel and Cara are friend, and Laurel wants to see Cara make it to the finals. But, Cara can't grasp that quickly enough and then she gets shut down like a 6 year old. So now we get to relive one of the best female rivalries in Challenge history. Seriously, their rivalry captured towards the end of Cut Throat & on Rivals, and their eventual resolution was one of the best. In response to that, Laurel becomes faux-buddies with Jessica -- which might be the most annoying friendship that has ever existed, ever. Seriously? This is the 3rd time we're doing this! First of all: Hilarious. Second of all: One of my beefs with Rivals 2 last season, was that all of the Challenges and eliminations were basically remixes of things from previous Challenges -- whether it was stepped up a little or stepped up a lot. 'Dug Out' was the same ************* Challenge that we've seen two times before. The clue shouldn't have even been about digging. TJ should've sent the clue like, "Hope you liked T-Bone and Rampage becaaaaaaaaause, we're outta ideas..." It was incredibly dramatic as the final elimination in Rivals between CT/Adam and Bananas/Tyler, and then it showed the weakness of Bananas and strength of CT in Rivals 2. So seriously, why are we doing this AGAIN? There's got to be a different way to feature an intense contact sport in the game, right? If I see this on the next Challenge, I'm gonna flip my lid. CT is the first captain, and he immediately picks Zach and pretty much the game is won from there. Surprisingly enough, Nany and Theresa (team fine *** Latinas) wins on the girls side which leaves the Theresa/Laurel rivalry (even though Laurel hates the term rivalry) intact for at least another week. SAFE VOTING TIME. That's pretty much what happens at this point of the Challenge where there's only good competitors left. At this point, no one wants to **** off anyone by sending a strong competitor and waving the possibility of defeat in other strong competitors faces, so they pick the safest bet that will ensure that the other power players will stick it through in the game. The easiest thing to do is send in Cohutta & Jessica, because it's likely neither will come back. Confessional Spoilers Can anyone else tell when someone's going in by their updated confessionals? Like Jessica's been featured in pretty much the same outfit during all of her confessionals, and now she's in this new one out of nowhere describing the Challenge? Sorry brown sweater Jessica, you're going home. Elimination Round I love the high fives when someone doesn't draw. Way to live Devyn. *high five* Poor Cohutta, that's all you can say at this point. He's outsized and outmatched at this point by Leroy, who's basically been sleeping through this game and just hoping he makes it to the end. If you asked me who deserved it more, I'd say Cohutta deserves to stay longer than Leroy. But despite it all, Leroy is still a solid competitor, athlete when he wants to be. This game was his to lose. But I don't think Cohutta would've had a chance against Johnny either. This season continues the trend however of women having kick *** elimination rounds. Besides Laurel/Jazmine & Jonna/Emilee, I think every other elimination round for the chicks has been intense and this was no different. Jessica pulled her Princess Hulk card, but I think was the casualty (I'm using this word way too much) of poor strategic maneuver. It would've been awesome if she made the ball in after throwing it, but there's so little of a chance you're going to be able to pull that off unless you shoot it from half court or something. Cara Maria at this point has won nine elimination rounds. That's incredible. Also, no props for petty Laurel who cheered for Jessica. She could've just not cheered for anyone. The saddest cliffhanger ever There are moments in this Challenge where the emotions are played up for the camera, and then even more played up on the show when they dub music under it, and there are genuine moments when the emotions are real. This is the latter. Cara Maria has seemingly fractured finger after monster dunking Jessica out of the game, and with it being so close to the final elimination she's afraid of being sent home - as she should be. The fear in her face is real. You see why Evelyn on Rivals chose to hide her injury from the game, because of things like this. I love this turn of events, but hate it for Cara. I really don't want her to have to go home. Best believe, episode 10 is gonna be an emotional roller coaster. After Show I'M GLAD THEY ADDRESSED THE ELEPHANT IN THE ***** ROOM As a black man, a black man who watches The Challenges - I'll admit that I pay attention to see how many of my people are left. The Inferno was a solid win for us with Coral, Syrus, Darrell, & Christena all making it to the end. That was NOT the case with this Challenge, and black people are getting the boot early. God, I wish Susie was on this show. She made the right decision not to show up, but I love her analysis.
The difference from being on a four person team to being solo is showing.
I don't know if I agree with that. There aren't four person confessionals. I think she has the same witty one-liners as Paula or Coral.
I am a guy as well, just one who likes guys lol and its his muscular bod and the tattoos plus that sexy grin that does it for me
My apologies for assuming only women were finding him hot! LOL. Thanks for the explanation. I still don't see it but I guess I don't really have a valid perspective on the matter lol. Not saying the guy is ugly by any means, I just see him getting a lot of love for his looks and I'm like really, the boy has it like that? Props.
I liked dug out tbh and I'm fine with seeing 3 tbones because its a good mission/elimination. I liked most of the missions expect for smarty pants because instead of challenge trivia, they had easy questions
I want another trivia, but instead of the water they get shock like the inferno 3 with Cara and Janelle. That would be amazing.
I want another trivia, but instead of the water they get shock like the inferno 3 with Cara and Janelle.
Isn't it prohibited now to give contestants on a reality show shocks? After some contestants on the french version of Survivor died because of this?
Didn't know that...Didn't they put them Dog collars that gave them shocks on Rivals 2?
Didn't know that...Didn't they put them Dog collars that gave them shocks on Rivals 2?
Forget that. Probably just shows in europe.
On A side note Jess was very impressive at the Balls In elimination round. it would of been great to see her score the 2 balls that she missed and win against Cara
Zach said if she didn't throw the ball in the hoop like she was shooting it she could have maybe won. He said Caramaria won because Jess made some dumb moves. Apparently Jess was close to the hoop and would just shoot it.
She had the advantage being bigger then Cara but I was still surprised how much fight she had in her
Just saw this episode, so bummed Jessica and my boy Cohutta lost and Johnny skated by yet again -_- I hate that dude's face and Cohutta's accent is everything. For the record, I dislike both Cara and Laurel so their story line made for a weak episode in my eyes. This show needs more shots of Nany and Theresa side by side, my god, chocolate for the eyes! Can Balls In just be a guaranteed/must have elimination round for every season from here on out??
Yea its something I always bring up to my Real World watching friends. They don't know why I am always looking to see if BMP casted an Asian dude (I'm not even Asian) but I am just really curious in seeing some more backgrounds on the Real World and I have noticed that I have never seen an Asian male on there before. I believe there was at least one on a Real World or Road Rules before my time of watching these shows but they could do better. Still, with the challenges at least they are ahead of the game for American reality tv in my estimation. I always think its good when people of various backgrounds can feel like they see someone they can possibly relate to a little more because they may have a similar heritage/background/upbringing.
The closest they've gotten to that type of casting was Noor and Yes Duffy, obviously one was Fresh Meat 2 and Road Rules instead of Real World
Steve and Yes, both from Road Rules, were partially Asian. But there's never been a full Asian male on RW/RR/FM.
Hey mods, when are we going to stop this "37 year old lawyer" from posting spoilers on the non-spoiler thread. Oh this should be hilarious.
God, it is so hard to root for Cara Maria. It's like, as soon as I decide I'm gonna like her, she whines and cries about everything and everyone being so mean to her. Everything is so "woe as me!!!". ****. We get it, you went in again, you won. No need to bring it up everytime. But on the other hand, I do want her to do well this season for some reason so I'm so conflicted!!! But whatever, I don't care if she goes home. Laurel proves once again she's a terrible human being. I only like her when she's making Paula cry.
