No you're right. A lot of people since the beginning have been saying that he was the only one that didn't see an elimination round.
So either he and/or his team killed it on the missions or he got lucky with the "draw." Going off of his history, I'd say it's probably something in the middle. Although it wouldn't surprise me if he and/or his team won a good amount of missions. He seemed to be really motivated after finishing in 2nd on Rivals II and not being in the shape that he's usually been in.
Another teaser, but it was very insignificant. They didn't show anyone, just that pink screen with waves crashing and voices. This has to be leading up to the biggest trailer.

Or Maybe not, I wouldn't be surprised with MTV
Oh lol what I meant was that she has already done that in the past but cannot because she is like twice their age
She's like 31 or 32...not "twice their age"...like 5 years older than most--which is nothing
What is wrong with people
Quick thoughts after seeing the trailer over & over:
- Admittedly I was also disappointed that the trailer was one minute long, but it is the first trailer and I'm sure there will be an extended version of this trailer going up on MTV.com tonight or after Real World. However, I'm just excited it will be back since it's been a long time I've been waiting for this show (I didn't watch Ex-Plosion, which is the second season I haven't watched in its entirety since San Diego 2).
- They love rehashing some of these challenges from the past. With Rivals 2, most of the challenges were variations of what they've done before -- so I'm beginning to think this one will be the same thing, just changed up to adapt to the terrain or remixed a little bit.
- While I'm not sure how it's running, it does look like they switch between single, duos, and teams for missions -- which is an interesting twist to things. But overall, you're still playing for yourself and you really only need your team to win.
- The one solo mission where it says you don't need to depend on your crummy partner and Sarah opts out not to take part in. Poor Sarah.
- Judging by the eliminations, it looks like rather than the whole cast being chosen at random to face off in an elimination it appears just a team will be. Maybe the rest of the losing team or something, still not sure but while it's random it appears there's still a fixed aspect to it considering that largely the same people make it to the end. The random fact is great though. It could potentially be contrived, but the suspense will certainly be there.
- Minus a few, this is probably some of the best chosen of this new generation of cast members. I miss some of the old people too, but we're in a new Challenge age. Embrace it.
I completely agree. Before we all say ugh this challenge is going to suck, let's wait for to premiere. It honestly sounds like a very refreshing and new challenge. I love the idea that you never know who will go in or even if that days challenge will be a team, partner, or solo mission. I think that's a **** idea. And honestly, let's put things into perspective:
1. It's a brand new format, which so many of us have wanted, so let's stop *****ing about the format.
2. Yes we all didn't get certain favorites of ours. I was honestly hoping for heather marter, and was mad she said no to the second call. My guess is bc she and dustin were both asked at the same time and probably still together then she said no when he was for sure going and they were seperated. But hey, that happens. The cast isn't horrible. Im so glad to have latoya, nia, and devyn in one challenge. Plus the amazing eye candy that is Issac, CT, jordan, and zach.
3. The format is going to actually making the competitive part fun. This is a challenge afterall. Im watching for the missions as well. But here recently, without a format to cause the cast to change things up, these challenges have become predictable in all aspects.
So let's sit back and try enjoy the show. Lord knows will ***** more when it's gone.
A lot of negativity about the trailer, but its a new game. I would rather have it this way because it doesn't reveal much at all. This is the first challenge since The Ruins where I have no idea what the elimination order is. And I like it.
The Ruins was a new format but from the trailer we knew it was Champions vs. Challengers, so it was easy to follow. Then we had Fresh Meat II which was a sequel. Cutthroat was the last time we had a format that was brand new and it was unknown to us. Yeah some people who follow sports know that cutthroat means three teams but it was still unknown and even then it was easy to predict the game, three teams going at it with a winning team and two people from each of the losing teams go into the Gulag. Rivals, Exes, Seasons, and Rivals II were all easy to predict because of the names of the challenge.
With Free Agents, we have no idea how it will work. Yes, I am a huge sports fan and know what a Free Agent is. We are in the midst of free agency in the NFL right now so it is appropriate that they came out with this trailer when they did. But we don't know how one is a free agent, how they become one, or how they get on a team from free agency. I am very excited for this challenge.
And I will say that with the right cast, this format is the best they have ever come up with. Better than The Duel. Imagine a Free Agent cast with Abram, Johnny, Derrick, Darrell, Wes, CT, Leroy, Zach, Frank, Dustin, Emily, Aneesa, Laurel, Theresa, Cooke, etc. It would be epic. The cast they have is decent but not the best ever.
After thinking this over I'm glad MTV did this because its a way to have a duel 3 without it being called a duel, these missions and eliminations look sweet I'm glad to see the return of corner ball balls in and reverse tug of war,I wonder what other eliminations are being reused
they showed at least 3 different trailers during explosion
Not trailer , those are promos the only trailer so far was the one released in the morning :

Why the **** do people keep saying this? why does everyone want a bunch of old schoolers back? People act like these new kids can't compete and bring the drama. Even when they have proven that they can. old generation's days are over. Like Meelz said. Embrace the new generation.
with that said. I like this cast for the most part(with the exception of CT, Johnny and all of the Fresh Meat) So I think that this is going to be a good season.

Why does everyone want the old school guys back? Well because it would be awesome to see the new generation compete with the generation that i grew up watching. I like the generation of challengers. They bring competition and drama, but a good mix of both in a challenge this format would be golden. Only 4-5 mid to old school guys and the rest new generation guys.

This is the most rational and makes sense. Everyone else should follow instead of asking for all of them old.

I'm not super unrealistic and fanatical about my own made up challenges. Like i can't stand when people say that want people like Ellen cho, belou, Roni, etc. back. That won't ever happen. A cast with a good mix of old school guys (Darrell, Abram, CT, Derrick), middle Era guys (Johnny, Wes), and the rest can be new people (Zach, Frank, Dustin, Leroy, Swift, Johnny R).
One Johnny is enough? I kid I kid. I would like Swift to be recurring but I doubt it.
Bananas will be back again most likely but if he did win this season I don't wanna see him next season if it is another individual challenge! Not fair! I could see them trying to get Wes, Brad, Mark, and Tyler again and. Johnny, Jordan, and Zach will be come regulars. As for the Ex-Plosion cast I can see them going with Jamie, Jenny, Cory, Thomas, and Brian next season!
With Frank retiring so he says Knight will come back. Leroy will be asked again but I hope to see Tyrie, Nick, Swift, and Marlon being the black guys competing next season, maybe Nehemiah lol
It would be cool if Simon did one. Cohutta will be back and maybe Isaac but hopefully not Dunbar. I wanna see Mike (Las Vegas) return only if Leroy is there! Trey may return too! Dustin will be back as well!
As for the girls, maybe Aneesa again. I kinda wanna see Robin on one. Svetlana would be cool too since she hasn't done one in soooo long, bring her instead of Camila. KellyAnne NEEDS to do one so keep asking BMP. Sarah may return but I hope not. The cancun girls will always be around but bring on Ayiiia. Jemmye, Nany, LaToya, Nia, Jessica, Theresa will probably become recurring. Averey needs to do one and Joi. No Cara Maria next season! Susie may return as well but I doubt it. Also, I don't know if BMP wants Ruthie again tbh. Casey would be fun for ****s and giggles, I rather have her than Jasmine!
Theme wise next season who knows! I don't really wanna see another individual challenge, I wanna see a new theme happen in pairs or teams and I doubt teams will happen. Pairs will happen again but how is the question!
I am the only want that wants to read the cast Bios?
Nope I'm with you as well. Whoever writes those sometimes makes it so dramatic it's funny lol
Nope I'm with you as well. Whoever writes those sometimes makes it so dramatic it's funny lol
I agree! lol plus most of the time it has spoiler on them that weren't showed on the trailer.

Preferably, I wouldn't mind seeing Darrell, Abram, and Derrick from the "old school" genre, as well as Tyler from the "middle-Era" genre for the guys.
For the girls, Rachel, Kelly-Anne, Robin, and Susie come to mind. I would put Sarah, but only if it's an individual...just to see how she would do; otherwise, she needs a bit more of a break IMHO.
People who add in unrealistic cast members...don't get me started. The people above are as realistic as you can get.
Get used to the new generation of regulars ;) I like it because we haven't had the chance to see them compete by themselves.
Exactly. I want to see what they do when they have to compete on their own.
