TOWNIE... what kind of workout routine and diet does CT do.... supplements, exercise, etc. give us some insight.... i want to get cut like he is!
Dude, I am not Townie, nor do I personally know Ct, but it looks like he does a lot of heavy weight compound exercises as Townie stated. He has gigantic legs that he acquired by doing a lot of squats and straight legged dead-lift. also, his back is pretty insane, probably from deadlifting, barbell rows and pull ups. The chest is certainly from benching and the ripped look is from a high calories, yet very strict diet and a **** load of cardio. dude doesn't **** around with his weights, bro! He is extremely strong so his numbers might discourage you but he's probably been lifting since high school. Look up bodybuilding sites and focus on compound exercises and NOT machines! This is too lengthy of a conversation, and very fun one for me, because I have been lifting since I was a fat little boy and needed to lose the weight so my buddies would stop laughing at me Holla
TOWNIE... what kind of workout routine and diet does CT do.... supplements, exercise, etc. give us some insight.... i want to get cut like he is!
I don't know if he still does it but a few years back he was doing a routine from Arnold Schwarzenegger's Bodybuilding encyclopedia. He did one of the basic routines because they focused on compound movements that come into play in athletics and built functional strength and size. The routine from the book that I think he used and may still use is this MONDAY / THURSDAY Bench Presses: 5 x 8-12 Incline Bench Presses: 5 x 8-12 Dumbbell Pullovers: 5 x 8-12 Behind-the-Neck Pullups: 5 x To Failure Barbell Rows: 5 x 8-12 Deadlifts: 3 x 4-10 TUESDAY / FRIDAY Clean and Press: 5 x 8-12 Lateral Raises: 5 x 8-12 Heavy Upright Rows: 3 x 4-10 Push Presses: 3 x 2-6 Barbell Curls: 5 x 8-12 Seated Dumbbell Curls: 5 x 8-12 Close-Grip Bench Presses: 5 x 8-12 French Presses: 5 x 8-12 Dumbbell Wrist Curls: 5 x To Failure Reverse Barbell Curls: 5 x 8-12 WEDNESDAY / SATURDAY Squats: 5 x 8-12 Barbell Lunges: 5 x 8-12 Lying Leg Curls: 5 x 8-12 Stiff-Legged Deadlifts: 3 x 4-10 Good Mornings: 3 x 4-10 Standing Calf Raises: 5 x 15 Seated Calf Raises: 5 x 15 Five sets of abdominal work are done daily with each set to failure. As far as diet, I know he eats a lot of egg whites & green vegetables but I don't really have any clue as to what he eats each meal or whatever.

One of the things he said he hated about living in Paris was that he couldn't really work out there because gym memberships were almost 200 euro a month and he said all the gyms just had machines. Machines are ok to use once in awhile to finish off a bodypart with dropsets or if you have to work around an injury but they're garbage if you're goals are centered around building functional strength and mass.
I want to get fit CT and start working out. He's a beast and very fun to watch. If your just starting to work out, aren't you supposed to start with machines then move on to free weights when you become more experienced? CT has the body of a rugby player. He has huge thighs and is the complete package in terms of physique. I'm 6'2 and 170lbs. I'm looking to get around 215-220lbs and shape my body into a rugby player physique. Does anyone have any tips? It would be greatly appreciated. Ct's frame is a little bigger than Evan in this pic. I used to use machines because--after having used weights and not seeing steroids ultra fast results--I thought that machines would be a great way to get huge!Boy, was I wrong! Machines are nothing compared to free weights. Deadlifts and squats are the KING of all exercises in my book. Unfortunately I work out at home and am 6ft2 and can't do the clean and presses and all that sexy stuff. Keep the good work coming Townie. Much appreciated

You don't build any support muscles or balance with machines, and if you try to build up "strength" on a machine and then do that weight with a free weight, you are going to hurt yourself. Go get Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe and learn some of the basic movements. Hire a competent personal trainer to begin with if you're afraid of hurting yourself, or go do CrossFit for a little while and they'll teach you all kinds of Oly and power lifts. I know CT's regimen is pretty intense, but the most key exercises are squats, deadlifts, shoulder press, rows, and bench press. And don't neglect your cardio.
hosah1099, i am also 6ft2. But weighs around 180 with little body fat and mostly muscles. I get told that I weigh a lot because of my broad shoulders and small waist. dude, start with free weights! I guaran-*******-tee you that, not only will you get strong as hell, you'll also get huge. Please, if you have never worked out before, train EACH muscle but also train your legs HARDD! Don't neglect them, ever!!!!! Or else, you're going to get laughed out, like i did by my mother, who called me the terminator and Rooster. Be patient, eat right and do moderately light cardio. Train with heavy weights to failure and you'll be set. PS **** bicep curls, they are good, but so addictive because you want to show off for the hot girls at the gym lol Read a **** load of online articles and bodybuilding forums. Personally, i think that all those muscle magazines are ******* trash and there for muscle worshiping and making the companies who publish them rich, so I stay away from them. But it's me, you do what you like. Follow your instincts Sorry for the long post I so pumped I just did shoulders and triceps three hours ago
Thanks for all the replies. I really appreciate it. Right now, I don't have a gym membership but will be looking somewhere real soon in Chicago. As of right now, I'm just doing a couple of sets of push ups, lunges and crunches each night before bed. I'm eating more calories along with protein each day to gain weight.
Yeah, my brother, you have to start somewhere. be patient, and you're doing fantastic already. remember, big, fancy gyms dont get you jacked: Determination and resilience do. PS don't overeat yeah, in my opinion. for now, just eat healthy. Oh what the ****, it's your life and your decision You have all our best wishes!

Learn how to do a "third world squat" to increase your flexibility so you'll have good range of motion when you can finally do it with weight. Learn as much as you can about proper squat technique so you'll have an idea of what to do when you can finally start lifting. Do you have a pull-up bar, or can you install one in a doorway?
Ok, let's get off the topic of how best to get jacked and move back to things that are directly about CT and things that happen on the show. If you want to continue to give each other work out tips please take it to your visitor pages or PM. Thanks.
Does anyone else think that CT is having a fling with Mandi because of a resemblance to Diem? Just wondering. Laurel and CT would seem to make a good couple.

Laurel and CT would seem to make a good couple.
I don't really see much resemblance. I think being locked up in a house with drinking, no phones, tv, etc, hookups just happen. Not sure if they continue after the show or not, at least very few seem to.
Mandi looks nothing like Diem.
Let me clarify. I meant more in how Mandi and Diem are similar in some ways. For example they're both small, have long hair, and are not strong competitors. I guess you can also say they both crave attention. Mandi licked dirty floors on Fresh Meat 2 and other people have said Diem is fake and seeks attention from others.

I know this isn't a Diem thread but she made it far on every challenge she's done except for the Ruins and she wanted to leave early on that one.

Mandi hasn't proved herself IMO yet.
I had no idea Diem was fake! I did, however, think she was strangely behaving in the Duel 2. Like she didn't " want to look stupid" about the Shauvon thing with CT. That whole incident, in my mind, was her fault and the two faced Adam King who can't muster the courage to tell someone he doesn't like him or her except wen she isn't there
I think he's just attracted to the petite type.
Diem seems like the "all about me girl". people stated that CT mistreated her, she obviously used CT... i believe and i am not sure that CT cared more about her that she did about him. Looked at the Duel 2 aftershow where CT said to her :the one time i needed you the most you left me hangin" (referring to his brothers death) and Diem's response was i messed up my flight. If anyone got played or looked stupid it was CT... Diem used him in one way or another
He does.... but i think Laurel is his girl now and she is not the petite type, although this is just a rumor that has been spread or talked about (derrick podcast)..... maybe Townie can confirm if Laurel is CT's girl or if they have hooked up after the Rivals challenge
Out of curiosity, how tall is Laurel? She seems AMAZONIAN like with her huge thighs! I think she's cute!
Out of curiosity, how tall is Laurel? She seems AMAZONIAN like with her huge thighs! I think she's cute!
I was unsure about this for a while. She's 5'11. MTV mistakenly put her height as 6'3 on the FM2 aftershow though. Also: did I miss something? Are Laurel and CT together now? I didn't think that was confirmed/existent.
[strike]thats cool if laurel and ct are together atm is CT still a personal trainer or does he flip houses atm?[/strike] That's cool if Laurel and CT are together at the moment. Is CT still a personal trainer, or does he flip houses at the moment?
thats cool if laurel and ct are together atm is CT still a personal trainer or does he flip houses atm?

I think it is satisfactory that Laurel and CT are presently courting. Could anybody clarify if CT is still a personal trainer or does he currently make a living flipping houses?
English. I'm joking more than anything as I could still read what you were saying. Flipping houses is what I garner from earlier in the thread. It was mentioned in Derrick's podcasts with castmembers.
That is the word on the street and rumors....it is not official or anything, perhaps townie can confirm
Looks like CT posted a pic of himself in glasses after followers requested. Guess it is him afterall. :)
CTofMTV is a fake. All those pics that "wannabe" posts, can be found on the internet. Bunim/Murray confirmed it's a fake account.
