My thoughts/reactions on this latest episode:
- Heartbreaking to see Aneesa lost. Despite most of the attention being on Diem, this is by far her best showing on any show - evolving from the initial "just happy to be there & party" competitor to getting her *** in gear and preparing for this show. I watched her (hilariously) drift off due to a current on The Duel 2, and this season she was kicking all types of ***. Good show Aneesa.
- CT & Diem embracing was nice to watch too. Despite it all, they have a connection with one another and because of what they've mostly repaired on Exes, they'll be there for each other no matter what. Except when it comes to deliberations of course.
- Leave it to Paula to have Emily catch her paranoia. It's contagious.
- How happy was I when they revealed they were going to Tokyo? A city Challenge. It's literally one of the only terrains they've never done in the past few Challenges. We've seen mountains, jungles, glaciers, deserts, whatever the **** Cuthroat was, but no City. That would've been an entertaining final.
- NINJAS! Aka, one of the funnest things to yell, ever.
- So wait, they're not going to Tokyo? In the words of Cara Maria, "BALLS!"
- Super Yacht. I've heard that mentioned more than enough times in a lifetime for me. Super Yacht.
- I think deep down Camila & Jemmye knew they still would've gotten third. Maybe second. Maybe. Emily would've had to been eaten alive by some wild animal for them to come in first. It's a shame, third means $7500 a piece. Which turns into like, $3,500-$4,000. That's good for a month or so.
- Anyone else tried to figure out a strategy to doing the puzzles in their head? I figured they could start with building a 3 x 3 surface, and then tried doing it 3 more times. Or try to make a cube, and then build around that. Sarah would've been great at this. I thought Frank would've done much better.
- CT & Wes win. And now Johnny becomes the 2nd person in history to be bested by CT at a puzzle.
- I'd hate if I were the 3rd place team, because it doesn't even give you a chance to redeem yourself. You just lose and you have to accept it. They could've made up some time if they were left to continue, but that sucks.
Who has beaten CT in a puzzle?
Who has beaten CT in a puzzle?
You misunderstood what he said. Johnny is the 2nd person CT has beaten in a puzzle. Evan was the first.
The Rivals finale is much more superior than the Rivals II finale.
The beginning of this finale started off well. However, the 3rd place stuff is not cool. People work to hard to go to finale and be there for what seems like 1 hour.
It should have been swim, then only solve ONE of the designs not all three. And if you couldn't finish in a hour you can leave. They should have then been chained to there partner like in color correction and then start running. There should have been three different directions they could have gone (1 being towards a puzzle, 2 for the food, and 3 once you done both 1 & 2 then to your overnight destination. This way you wouldn't know where everyone is if they didn't go in the same direction)
The puzzle should have been a setting and you had to look at it then match by carrying all the pieces chained together (I loved that). Then once it was correct they could move on) they only had 3 hours to figure it out/if the 3 hours were up and it was wrong they could move on).
Whoever does this last then would be eliminate. Day 2 would be something else and then the final leg is carrying it to a certain spot and then dropping and running to the flag.

They only had to solve one of the three. As you saw, not many on these challenges have much going on upstairs. Production knew this and that's why they set it up this way.

Supposedly they had to solve all three. Each one took an hour. Then in the final edit they made it seem like they had one hour to pick one and do it. I assume production did that to feature more footage.

According to Camila they had to solve all 3...
I love how they edited the ending to make it seem like OMG who is going to make it to Yacht first!? When it's so obvious who get's there first, I won't say because I don't know if any of you have figured it out yet but the fact they used an old Paula interview has gotta tell you something and the fact she is still smiling the second the kayak flips over... well if that's not a clue smack to the face, I don't know what is. Editors will use anything to use their trusty "to be continued.."

I think most people have guessed it's Marlon and Jordan. I haven't read any spoilers about this season (I've been doing my best to avoid them), but I'm positive it's Marlon and Jordan's kayak that tipped over. I could tell just from how crazily they were paddling that that would just end up slowing them down than closing the distance between them and Frank/Johnny.
There is a lot of sucking up to TJ from the cast, because that is what is expected of them. Many of them, however, see him for what he is. South Africa, post-challenge, comes to my mind whenever I hear his name.
Haven't watched that many challenges, but what's this supposed hate for TJ? I have no feelings one way or another towards him.
Haven't watched that many challenges, but what's this supposed hate for TJ? I have no feelings one way or another towards him.
Hate? No hate, more like an "agnostic" reaction to the Host-God persona the production and his PR company have created. Admittedly he is finally a little better at reading cue cards and the teleprompter in the studio... a little better.
According to Camila they had to solve all 3...
I don't know how the average viewer is supposed to know what the puzzles actually involved. The clear advantage here goes to Survivor where the audience has a clear understanding of the "event." I've watched this part of the episode 5 times and can find no clear markers or even generous clues. Frankly, it's just shoddy work by production, which with BMP never surprises me.

Ohhh I have so many problems with TJ I don't know where to begin. Production creates a crazy environment, the cast reacts accordingly, and then TJ comes in and treats them like children who don't know how to behave. The "quitter" speech is always given more harshly to the females than it is to the males, if it is even given to the males at all. I think he is a sexist, mysogonystic jerk and I just don't care for him. I was actually liking Johnnie Moseley but then he made a comment about Tonya on WWHL so I've change my mind about him too.

Camila isn't on bad terms with Johnny it seems like but I honestly love her. Camila's desire to win is awesome and I really hope she keeps doing them because she reminds me of Derrick K. She has such a big heart and kicks *** at eliminations.

I really don't know how Johnny is able to dig himself out of the hole every time with everyone , I mean it's either that or people are just too dumb to see through his bull****...

Camila referred to Johnny as a ******* when she called in to the Afterbuzz show. She also said that she had an alliance from the very beginning with CT and Wes. They had an understanding that they would never vote each other in, unless the only other option was voting in their #1 team, in which case they would vote each other in.
I love Camila's spirit. She's a fighter and she's fully aware that she needs to control her temper.

Well she was on a challenge without Johnny last season and she didn't get do so well game wise so she isn't as good as people think she is.

She was also on a team with Big Easy. From what I understand they were winning the elimination that they were sent home on and Big Easy quit so that Devyn could stay in the game.
I was initially not a Camila fan but when I've heard a ton of competitors say she's one of the best girls in the game, you have to take some of their words for it.

I would definitely recommend listening to the Afterbuzz "interview" too... I believe this spreecast with Alex was cut-short, due to some scheduling conflict and technical problems.
also, I don't know what ppl are expecting----- she is NOT going to start ripping Johnny left and right, she is at this point completely ambivalent to his ways and knows fully well that she dodged a bullet...
Why would she be hostile towards him, if she simply doesn't give a **** about his pathetic self (-if anything she knows fully well that getting a reaction out of her would please him to no end-)
She made it clear plenty of times what she thinks of him, to his face, not over FB, Twitter or interviews, she is not going to dwell over the past at every opportunity she gets, she is the type of person to enjoy the present and look forward to the future, instead...
She knows it is smart to be allied/("friends") with him and that's it...

Good point, why make an enemy out of someone when you don't need to.
On another point, she said that prior to her first challenge she didn't drink. This may explain why she has "lost it" when she gets drunk. She's not used to drinking, which is actually a good thing.

Yeah she said she didn't drink and grew up in a religious family. So it kind of makes sense if she actually did loose her virginity to Johnny.

Personally I've never observed any male bias from him. But his little rants on quitters have bothered me. They tend to come off as somewhat arrogant to me.

Not many have quit on the show. I never thought he favored men over women or anything. He didn't bash trishelle for quitting on this season. The Tonya thing as a viewer and the way they have edited her it's accurate. Who else did you want him to say?
