No I meant that Julie Chen was the only female host of a reality show competition that I can think of, and thats only because of her husband lol. I didn't mean to tie that in with MTV.
Then you would be correct about Julie the Homewrecker... I'm obviously a big fan of the first Mrs. Moonves and not Julie Chen.
I have no problems with TJ. The cast seems to love him, he looks like he's having a good time doing it, and he has never done anything that has really pissed me off, or made me want him gone. BUT, this just gave me a GREAT IDEA! Cutthroat 2: Team Captians are : TJ Lavin, Dave Mirra, and Jonny Moseley.. yeah yeah??? The only replacement I think they could bring in that has been a part of the cast would be Mark Long..For one, he is older than TJ, or any of the three hosts I just mentioned, for that matter. I think he is well-liked by literally everyone, and he is the only host of aftershows that I have really enjoyed.

I don't know anything about how these shows work, but I think if there is going to be a new host, it's going to be Mark Long. I personally liked Johnny Moseley and I wish he would've continued hosting. Can't get everything.
I could see how that could conflict, but note that T.J. is also close to a lot of the cast.
But TJ can't really talk shop with them since he never really did a challenge. Even if Mark were to stay distant during filming, I think it would inevitably lead to allegations of favoritism.

He is not a producer, and has no sway in the outcome. It's nothing Mark can't do, but there could still an audience perception that he has "friends," and would, therefore, be conflicted.
People sometimes forget Mark did already co-host a challenge (Battle of the Seasons). However, the format and challenges themselves were very different back then - more cut and dry with less subjective decisions/calls.

Whose call was it to not DQ Jenn completely against Rachel on Inferno 3 when she kept cheating if it wasn't his?
Who cares about the host? TJ is just fine. Shut up about it already.. Most of the posts on here isnt speculation and its frustrating.

I have seen little speculating and only pointless discussion about who the host should be, how good/bad TJ is. I wish there was an actual speculation thread where only screencaps were posted because I could careless about this other pointless banter.
Speculating the host is still speculating for the challenge.
Is there any reason to think TJ wont be returning to host?
Is there any reason to think TJ wont be returning to host?
Wishful thinking.
Wishful thinking.
Think wishfully in another thread.
Think wishfully in another thread.
Read the thread title. Run along now :)
What about enforcing certain mission/elimination rules? Whose call was it to not DQ Jenn completely against Rachel on Inferno 3 when she kept cheating if it wasn't his?
It was the executive producer's decision (Justin Booth). When TJ's lips move, it is Justin's intent that comes out on camera. What viewers don't see in the edit process is the break in the action while the producers decide (even occasionally consulting the executives back in Sherman Oaks) 1) what works best for the show, 2) what MTV will accept, 3) if the lawyers and underwriters need to be involved in the decisions process. TJ is the mouthpiece of that process, as is every reality TV host. That viewers think the host is actually making decisions is a testment to the editors and the host. Now if TJ could just read a cue card or teleprompter. It's a really painful thing to watch in person.
Think wishfully in another thread.
Well, this thread is the place for absurdity, so TJ-lovers should be grateful that the sentiments only are appearing here.

Sam from San Diego switched her twitter to include MTV at the same time that most of the St. Thomas cast did, and they tweeted about it, which makes me wonder if she is going to be on the next Challenge. Add Zach into the mix and I am left wondering what kind of theme that could indicate since Rivals was done. Surely they would not do Rivals II so soon.

I know the folks at BMP aren't the brightest but hopefully they realize what a bunch of clowns the SD2 cast was and doesn't ruin this challenge with those rejects. I realize this is "pointless" speculation but lets use some common sense obviously they aren't doing a Rivals 2 already just because we speculate people who don't like eachother are going to be on the next season. Casting people who don't get along happened every season before Rivals.

A theme variation of rivals where you are paid with an opposite sex person with whom you have had a fight maybe? Not sure what they would call it though.
I still like that ball and chain idea put forward by someone last season
Emily (DC) tweeted that she was going to Argentina in 2 weeks. Came here to see if filming was starting so soon. It's prob nothing though.
A theme variation of rivals where you are paid with an opposite sex person with whom you have had a fight maybe? I want to see my favorite Real Worlder Leroy on the next challenge. Anything yet to hint about him on a challenge?
I do not want another partner challenge at all. I really want another team challenge.
I do not want another partner challenge at all. I really think those only work when you have at least 3 teams so there is always tension all around.

The first 2 Infernos were spot on to me and each only had a 20 person cast. In fact, the only team challenge that has had 3 teams is Cutthroat, so I don't understand even where you are coming from.
