I wonder, will this show dip below 500k in the ratings because the cast blows so bad? Even I may not watch it.

We did see Paula, Jenn and Sarah last challenge, but we also saw Laurel, Theresa, Mandi and Cara Maria for the girls... and Brandon and Vinny from the guys.
MTV can't go wrong with asking Paula or Sarah back, they know they will do it. They did so many straight in a row, they are the go to girls.

You can't please these types of people no matter what. You could have a million different combinations on castmembers and it would still bring on the hate. I wish people would just enjoy these mindless shows for what they are-- a fun form of entertainment. I don't mind people doing back to back challenges ONLY if they didn't win though. I think if you won the most recent challenge, you shouldn't be asked back for at least another two seasons or so.
Looking at this cast I can't help but be excited. I really don't understand why people would complain about the attendees when this could shape up to be a milestone for the future of these challenges.
As a lot of other people are speculating, this will be a Gauntlet, which is great because it looks to be a very even one as opposed to the Gauntlet 3 which was so one sided it was downright painful to watch. I know a lot of people when listing their favorite challenges ever, for some reason place the first Gauntlet or Inferno among their favorites which to me couldn't be further from how I feel since both of those comprised of one team routing the other. When I watch these shows I prefer when the teams are as even as possible, my favorite being the Inferno 2 in which both teams were stacked with the exception of a bit of fat to trim (Beth, Dan, Karamo, Jon, Shavonda). The score was 8-7 for the Good Guys by the end of it, with so many of the challenges being decided by slight margins or DQs as well. If this turns out to be a Gauntlet, with the teams being divided as such, then those of us that like close affairs are in for a treat.
The veterans guys are capable, but don't have the sheer depth of the veteran team on Gauntlet 3 (CT, Evan, Kenny, Johnny, Brad are you joking!?) People are saying Johnny will be dead in the water without Evan or Kenny there, but we also thought as much about Kenny on Fresh Meat 2, and that turned out pretty differently. I don't know why people underestimate Johnny so much. To me he was the most consistent male on Inferno 3 (even with Alton and Abram there) and an upper echelon player on The Ruins. Brad and Derrick know the drill, and I think will be forced to play less of a background role without Kenny or Evan there, as we all know they've been aligned with those two on almost every challenge they've been in. Dunbar could go either way, as he's been a perennial choker since his introduction to challenges, but it just takes one win to redefine peoples perceptions. Also if this is a Gauntlet, imagine the sheer drama that will involve Eric considering how the last one ended, and then there's always the as of yet unknown contestant. The rookies certainly don't resemble the sad sack group from Gauntlet 3 either. I can see Vinny, Ty, Brandon, and Chet doing pretty decently, Dan could also be a factor if he's not wasted 24/7 like on the Island.
On the girls end, the rookies seem a bit stacked, although last Gauntlet that was the case as well and it didn't make much of a difference. Laurel we already known will kick butt, but the relatively unknown Cara Maria, Emily, and Emilee give me the impression they'll do well athletically. Theresa, Mandy don't stand out, but aren't nearly that bad either. For the vets Paula, Sarah and Tori will most likely avoid the Gauntlet altogether, Shauvon and Melinda I'm seeing as early eliminations, with Katie and Jenn having the option to go either way. On both ends these girls can hold their own a lot better than a Beth/Casey/Brooke/Ashli ever could so I don't see too many weak spots on either team.
I guess the biggest point of interest for me is thinking that this may be Brad's best chance for a victory since the last Gauntlet, as in most cases he usually has to overcome huge odds, which he often does, but falls just slightly short. I think a win here would validate all his appearances and maybe open the door for more, as I sometimes get the impression Tori wants him to let go of that side of his life, but there's certain contestants I never get tired of seeing (Brad, Derrick, CT, Darrell, Landon, Evan, Johnny, Kenny, Timmy, Mark, Wes, Theo) so the more desire they have to return, the better it is for me. Regardless though, I'm interested to see some of the newer contestants interact and form their own friendships, since those will most likely go on to decide a lot of what happens on future challenges. Also the Gauntlet itself goes through numerous and welcome evolutions each season so I'm interested to see what new changes they throw out to make it more exciting. I'd love to see a reprise of Derrick as captain of the Veteran team, but I just don't see anyone signing up for that role after Gauntlet 2. Either way, I know they'll have some welcome variances to make this challenge exciting.
A lot of this could change too though, it might turn out to not even be a Gauntlet, looking at the numbers alone it doesn't seem to be the resemble the typical 16 vs 16 format of previous Gauntlets, although this roster list is not set in stone so their could be 5 unaccounted for contestants participating. I'm excited though.

The first Gauntlet was 14 vs 14 which is the same as this challenge so we can't really go by the amount of players on each team.
This cast is amazing on the girls side. Probably Ayiiia, Katie, or Jenn will get kicked off for fighting lol

2 or more challenges is what a vet needs, but I think it is more of BM getting new faces in their and the 3rd generation of the challenges.
I have a feeling Cara Maria's emotional break down is going to cause her to get voted in but on the other hand she reflected on what happened and is there to kick ***!

Derrick and Brad were on the vets team for G2 really quickly after their seasons as well.
I am just saying because it seems like the Ruins was just yesterday but Chet and JD still have their rookie status. I wonder how she is going to act towards them.

To me it looks like there are going to be some really big alliances on this challenge. I can see Emilee, Ayiiia, Derek, Sarah, and Vinny teaming up. Then Brad, Tori, Johnny, Derrick, Katie, and Paula. I guess it all depends on how the teams are divided up (assuming there are teams of course).
All and all I am excited for this challenge. I think there is a good ammount of both people who will create drama, and people who are athletic and I think will be good competitors.
Here is to Dan he is awesome and looks like he came in shape for this one. Heard his alcohol problems have been undercontrol for along time so he could definately anchor a rookie team.

It doesn't surprise me that Sarah has done 3 in a row considering she said that the reason she wanted to be on RW was to go onto the challenges. I have a feeling that much like Kenny, she will be returning as long as she is asked back.
Long time reader of this website, but I finally gathered some courage to register so that I can post here, hah. I'm pretty excited about this cast (Much thanks to molds for putting in the effort to get all of it together). Very happy to see Tori and Brad. I remember Brad saying (after the ruins) that he wouldn't do a challenge without Tori. Happy to see Cara Maria too. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see much of her in Fresh Meat II. I'm also hoping that Emily from DC does really well. Also really happy to see Laurel too.
