Diem's comments on what she thought Ruthie's gameplan was going to be got me thinking: you can absolutely win the Back Off duel with Jiu Jitsu.
Sounds ridiculous but hear me out. If you're of comparable size to your opponent, you can pull butterfly guard with double underhooks. Your back will be against the floor protecting your hook and your arms will be under your opponent's, allowing you to easily grab their hook before pressing them off of you so you can run away.

Okay. I had to post when I saw hate being spewed about Ruthie. I love Ruthie. I am very sad she was eliminated tonight. She's a little powerhouse and an inspiration.
Yeah, but this is a GAME! There aren't friends on this thing, especially not with outcasts. For Ruthie to go all internet blog ballistic over this is a little over the top imo. Congrats on Ruthie winning one challenge by herself, but in this game that alone isn't gonna take you far in this game. Rachel came in with a smart gameplan and she's gonna get rewarded for it no matter how she gets to the end. At the end of the day nobody cares about how they got to the top. You know the saying...money talks.
As much as I like all 3 of them, I have to take Ruthie's side.I think she can take on Rachel and espescially Aneesa. I was just expressing my interest on Ruthie's comments so I thought it would be cool if I posted them as she posted.
Ruthie's comments are interesting. It would be neat to see her on another challenge with Anessa and Rachel. I don't really think Anessa was trying to mess Ruthie up, though. I think she just kind of said she would pick Issac to Ruthie and perhaps the lineup order was changed by Mark/Rachel afterwards, or it wasn't made yet before she told Ruthie she'd pick Issac. I need to watch that again to see the timeline for that (hopefully it's correct on the show, actually). But the grudge thing understandably bothered her, and since Anessa did say she'd vote for Issac, it must feel like betrayal that she went in another direction.
It was weird to see people ragging on Ruthie in this episode, when she's always been the peaceful, nice person who is a fierce competitor on these shows.
As for Ruthie being mad at Landon? I don't know what he might have done in this episode to bother her. Perhaps it's the fact that he bothered Issac (though it was just clipping his toenails), and Issac was her partner/pal on this challenge? I know Landon seemed to really respect and like Ruthie during G2, and I wonder if she ecpected him to be there for her on this challenge? But of course he is trying to be in with the Evan/Mark/Brad alliance, and Brittini is his partner, so he is into picking them (or their partners) first. I actually wonder why Landon did not pick Ruthie to be his partner, actually? Maybe because her small stature could be a detriment in a physical match?
I have to wonder, though, if Rachel may have influenced Anessa in making sure Ruthie was at the end.

Ok, yes I would probably be ****** at Aneesa for not picking Isaac after we just talked about it, but if I'm not mistaken you still have to go into The Duel and win yourself, so Ruthie shouldn't lash out at other people when she controlled her own fate in The Duel to stay in the game. She should know that you can't trust anyone but yourself in these challenges. I just think that she's mad at herself and it's coming out the wrong way.

Thanks. I missed that. I do still wonder if Rachel and Anessa had any influence on each other (because of the dailies talking about their past and what's going on now).
