The Duel 2: Episode 8 - Discussion

Me too. Although we could've gotten a shower scene ala The Gauntlet.

It's just in my opinion, I think the season will be highlighted for me by this conflict, because it is the only non-game related drama.

Im so over Jenn. She used to be one of my favs. Not any more...

Thoughts: Bittersweet episode. Jenn is absolutely pathetic and disgusting. She talked ALL THAT **** about Aneesa, going as far to say she wishes she were dead. And then, Christmas came, and Jenn had the ability to pick Aneesa and battle her, which is seemingly what she wanted because she hated Aneesa so. Then the little witch cops out and picks Diem, who still kicks her ***. I hope I never have to see Jenn on a challenge again, ever. She has reached Paula status and surp***ed her. I'll take the whining, the 'I wish I was this hot beefed up meathead's girlfriend' crying any day over the utter disgust and hypocrisy that oozes out of my television whenever Jenn is on the screen. Phew. Got that rant over with. Landon won again, much to my delight. I really think I need Landon rehab, for it is not healthy to love a reality tv character so much. And thank you to Evan and Mark for the commentary which saved the show. Let's end my thoughts on.. "The intel was wrong."

I agree that Jenn said some awful things about Aneesa, but I'm not a huge Aneesa fan, so I didn't mind. She in no way, shape, or form has reached "Paula Status" like someone above mentioned. Absolutely not even close for me.

I'm sad that Jenn is gone. And I'm sad that Derek is gone too.

Jenn has always been one of my favorites, so it was definitely sucky to see her act that way, but I am still a fan.

Here's something I respect about Jenn (or at least her portrayal on the show... mostly through Dailies though because the episodes hardly ever show everything to its fullest). I respect the way she plays the game. On the Dailies site, it shows Rachel telling Jenn she could try and get Mark to save her in the line up instead of going into The Duel, but then she'd be leaving Derek out to dry. Jenn didn't do it. She had the chance to call out Aneesa (which would have been amazingly personal), instead she goes for Diem. I believe Diem is the smartest and FAIREST choice as well. Aneesa has gone into the Duel twice, let alone last week. Yeah Diem did well on tonight's mission, but overall looking at the whole challenge, I believe it was Diem's time to head into the Duel.... and I'm glad she proved herself. But yeah, in short, tonight didn't make me hate Jenn at all and I'm surprised at some of the reactions on here about it.

I feel so bad for Brad and Mark on this challenge because they keep coming so close to winning. At least Mark has won a good share of missions. Evan isn't performing has well as he usually does this time around. And I never realized how much I dislike Jenn. Her hand movements and big talk frustrate me.

Agreed Buck. Well put. I do agree it was shameful for her to say she wanted Aneesa dead, and she was overreacting, but I still respect many other of her choices.

What was the point of Evan being on the aftershow?

I mean, yeah, Paula is annoying, but she didn't go ape shit and say all this horrible **** about Kim at the rumor/sight of a Dunbar-Kim romance. She didn't stoop as far to say that she hated somebody. I by no means like Aneesa, but I think she handled the situation way more maturely than Jenn. And everybody is making Aneesa seem like this crazy stuck on a fling 7 years ago, then why did Rachel - Aneesa hook up the first two weeks of challenge? Then Rachel jumps beds? Fact is, Jenn talked some mad ****. She was unable to back it up. Paula picked Aneesa, so your telling me Jenn couldn't of? Fact is, she was too scared too. She is a coward. I will take an overly emotional crybaby who seeks the immediate attention of males over a pathetic witch who cowardly talks the talk but cannot back it up (or even try to). Good riddance, I say.

And to top it all off, Rachel hooked up with Evan as well. Rachel was playing both of them.

I don't get Rachel's appeal, to any ***. At all.

I love Rachel, but I don't see the appeal either.

Oh and did anyone like the flashback to Battle of the Sexes 1? I bet you all the younger viewers were like, "When was that challenge?"

TJ, I was definitely loving the flashback. I cannot believe they did that.

[/quote] If that's true for you, I need it too! Good thing he has won so many missions, or he wouldn't really get a spotlight on this challenge it seems. He put up some new entries on his blog recently. I wish he (or someone on this challenge) would blog about the challenge. In news sort of related to Landon, I found out while googling him that one of his ex girlfriends is rumored to be dating George Clooney. Dart, I also didn't know Anessa was good friends with Evan. She mentioned in a daily at the beginning of Duel 2 that she didn't want there to be beef carried over between them from last time, and I was puzzled as to what beef they ever had with each other. I, too, loved the Battle of the Sexes flashback.

[/quote] I third the rehab propositon..Then again, I like being addicted to Mark..I was so excited everytime he popped on my screen and had lovely words came fluttering from his beautiful mouth..Yay for the aftershow as well..I was muttering all sorts of comments as Mark was speaking LOL Oh speaking of the aftershow..the whole game they played..yea they best back off my bew bew haha..I liked the awkward moment Mark and Evan [[oops almost typed TJ as in Hallow..see thats because yall are basically a pair in my mind]]shared..
